  • thx this helped so much

  • my 7 month old normal female hasnt eating in 2 months and a week and i finally watched how to force feed her and she ate the mouse like a charm

  • my baby cinn ball python wouldnt eat for 2 weeks, even refusing assisted feeding, so I cut open a regular/small mouse and took out the meat and guts. I cut them up using scissors and added a few drops of purified water and cut it up some more. I opened up the whole of the syringe slightly more and glued on (with a glue gun so it ends up being like plastic with no residue or smell) a cut straw from McD.

Worked Great, She just Pooped today :)

  • Awesome

  • My ball python had not eaten in 3 months. I knew we were running out of time but I wanted to avoid having to do this. Last night I watched your video one last time and saved the snake's life. Thank you for the detailed info!!

  • thanks you saved my snake

  • My ball python hasn't eaten since 4/8 and I shed last week shud I force feed it or wait longer. He was born on 3/3 and ate at the store 4/1 and 4/8

  • I have a sick and very thin 15 year old ball python who won't eat, I'm definitely going to try this method at home today. Thank you.

  • @1pryors wow your python is older than me thats really cool you must be a good owner i hope mine lives that long

  • @whitewolf037 Well, unfortunately it only bought her a couple of days. She did regurgitate most of what I got in her, but some of it stayed because she had a good burst of energy for a while. It was a sad goodby at our house. She was a member of the family for a long time.

  • @1pryors i am so sorry

  • very cool man, thank you for the help

  • Hey bro is there any truth in ball pythons slowing down on feeding during the winer months?

  • @deviltron1984 its true they may go into hibernation making it harder to feed but dont worry snakes can go months without eating and will be just fine

  • get a better camera.....

  • thanks for the info my ball hasnt eaten since i got him recently. awsome tutorial

  • ive had my baby ball python for 3 months and its only eaten a total of 5 times hes been fed a pinky and 1 fuzzy. when should i be concerned enough to think about force feeding? and can you force feed with say a pinky? thanks

  • so did the ball python do good and start eating mice?

  • awww poor thing did it take on its own in the end i had one from my first cluch of corn snakes that wouldnt eat so i had to force feed it mouse heads eat ok in the end though has had over 6 feeds now.

  • You are very good to that snake.

    Great video :D

  • @Kavimander -- wow, way to be an asshole.......

Anyway, I found this video very helpful! I would have never thought of the tubing idea. We had to give one of our BP's some oral medication once and they just told us to put the whole syringe in the mouth until you get to the throat, but the tubing is definitely a great idea for a hatchling. Nice vid, Thx for sharing!

  • when what you try to save the life of an animal?

  • @kavimander lol you need to chill out. ok you said a joke not big deal. i am trying to help people i did not respond to you last post you sent me because i do not deal with people that are talking the way you are. you are entitled to your opinion and thats the last thing i am saying about this. have a nice day.

  • @dmaricle32

i know you're trying to help. i don't think i responded to anything unless someone said something first. and thanks for the video. i actually watched it and learned something from it. i just threw in a little joke. better leaving a comment then nothing at all unless im talking shit and being serious about it right?

  • @kavimander Not cool dude, this is a really good video for people who do need help. Just because hes got an accent and your not smart enough to realize what hes doing doesnt mean you gotta bag on him.

  • I have 4 extremely small baby garden snakes. They won't eat. I'm about to shove something down their tiny throats but they are way to small!

  • what do u think i should feed my baby ball python

  • @pythonkeeper1 i start all of ours on rat pinks

  • Thanks for your help. Question. Do you use yellow and white of the egg?

  • have tried assist feeding my baby for 4 weeks now since i got him and he just swings his head and spits it out...THE MOST FRUSTERATING THING IN MY LIFE! i mean if the food is in your moth and you havent ate in a month why spit it out!! any tips im kinda worried lol

  • thank you so much man, i have an awesome looking corn, and none of my town's pet stores keep enough pinkies in for the whole town. your food formula is absolutely awesome.

  • you will choak him!!

  • @addymakRox Snakes swallowing things the thickness of their thickest part and it takes more than a minute to get the thing down. How is this going to choke him?

  • @willderphil well it can if the snake is an inexperienced eater and eats it sideways while the owner is too dumb to get the right size and believe me the snake choking maneuver is very hard i have been there!

  • My snake does not want eat can any body help me out

  • Has anyone here heard of a snake letting itself starve to death? You would think after a certain period of time they would eat anything... My baby corn snake didnt eat the first 3 months I had him and now he doesnt refuse a meal ever.

  • is it ok to house 2 balls together?

  • @RaraChiTownDegO No you should not house ball pythons together.

  • hey i have a problem mojave ball python. I am thinking of force feeding him like you said. It isn't an adult it is a juvenile. I know you said to use a sautering gun to melt the edges. I don't own one of those so can i just use a lighter to work the edges. Please help me.

  • My ball python has trouble to breathing someone can help me thank you very much I would appreciate

  • its probly a upper respiratory infection you can hot box him (keep him at about 90-95)

and dont take him out of his tank if its real bad see a vet

  • i have a lemon pastel bp and he wont eat thawed out pinkies and ithink hes to young to feed live so i force feed him. wen will he start to eat on his own?

  • i always start my babies on live pinks.

  • thx your video really helped now my snake its on its own now...

  • glad to see it helped.

  • hello my friend can give me recipe to feed my ball python that takes even a month and not eat I would appreciate thanks

  • would u able to sell me any

of the new born when they come

  • you can try my force feeding method. just be patient and keep an eye on him but dont hesitate to take him to a herp vet.

  • my snake ran away for about 2 to 3 months. Now it came back and it looks sick and weak. It wont eat. What do u suggest?

  • i think ill try this

  • hey man hows it goin? i have great news my royal pythons have been latched for 18 hours now ,its my first time breading anything i wanted to ask you how long untill the eggs come?

  • thinking about trying this with a 6year old problem feeder boa constrictor, can you give me some feed back plz

  • if he is six years old chances are it is not required. how offten does he eat? i have some adult male balls that eat less than 5 times a year and breed fine and dont loose weight they just slow down when they reach adult size.

  • that answers my question m8 thanks alot

  • glad i could help.

  • Will this work for a retic too? I have a super tiger that is killing her food but she wont eat it, not matter what, she's gotten pretty skinny, I tried to coax a mouse down her throat but she wasn't having it, so I was wondering if i could use this method to get her to eat, and after she gains some weight back how do I ween her off of that stuff so she'll start eatting live or p/k food?

  • i am not sure if this will work for a retic, but i dont see why it wouldnt. you will just need to up the dosage. and once she gains weight just offer mice again.

  • I have a het albino hatchling who is refusing to eat, and I like this method rather than shoving a pinky down their throat. So I am probably going to have to attempt this. Is there another way to smooth the edges of the tubing? because i have tubing and syringes, but I don't have a soldering iron...any help would be appreciated.

  • anything really will work you can use a lighter, anything to sort of soffen the tubbing so you can smooth it out. good luck with your little one hope all goes well.

  • Okay, so i have force fed her 3 times and she seems to take it really well and is doing fine, She is still refusing other food though. She currently weighs 48 grams and I have been feeding her 1cc of your mix every other day. I was wondering how long I should continue to give her that amount, or if I should give her a little more of the mixture each time. Thanks for your help with this, I really appreciate it, as she is the first snake I have had to do this with.

  • is she passing any calcium in her poo? if so i would up the dose a little. once she starts putting on some weight i would offer her a pinkie mouse if she takes it awesome, but if not you may need to force feed her it. one you start with mice she will put on weight faster and should start taking on her own soon. good luck.

  • very good vid mate

  • Force feeding is an unfortunate part of breeding snakes.

I hope I never have to do it, but thanks for the video, informative, thanks.

  • lol thanks for your concern. he is not kept in that tank that is sitting on top of our snake RACK he is kept in a rack system like the one you see to my left in that video. and i dont guess you caught it but i said i hatched him. i breed snakes and have not lost one to this day so i think i got this covered but thats anyway.

  • thanks. I might have to do this with my baby python.

  • i will do an update soon thanks for watching and keep checking back with us.

  • hi thanks 4 the vid and can u do an update on ?

  • i fed him this way a few times and then force fed him a pinkie rat and the next time he killed a pinky but did not eat so this next feeding day i feel he will eat on his own. so to answer your question most of the time they start eating on their own just fine.

  • do you tink after doing does ting in future he/she will eat on its own coz i had da same problem wid my mojave ball python mine same big as ur normal pls..... helpp

  • i did this because he was so far gone not i have fed him 2 pre killed mice the first he did not want and the second he coiled so i am hoping he will take the next all by himself thanks for the comment, and i agree with you like i said he was way to far gone but now he is so much better.

  • have you tried to assist feed him a mouse? I do the same as you as far as holding the head strait but instead of a syringe of stuff i work the head of the mouse into the mouth. I get all my trouble feeders to eat this way. Usually after the first few time the snake coils the mouse the second it hits his mouth then its not long before they feed f/t on thier own. You also only have to do it once a week vs every 2 days, less stressful for te snake.

  • hey kallu. i would not feed them raw eggs and meat. i only use egg in my force feeding mixture. other than that i only offer rats and mice. i feed my snakes once a week. and to tame a snake that is nippy, i just handle them as often as possible to let them know you are not there to cause them harm i hope this helps.

  • Hi...

my name is kallu and i am also intrested in taming a python....

    do they bite often?

and can i feed them raw eggs or meat?

and when to feed a 1'6" Indian rock python?
