Sissel captures the true meaning of these lyrics with such emotional personification. You feel it deep within your soul. The pleading, the desperation, and sadness. Hauntingly beautiful.
voice is great, amazingly innocent quality to it. Not crazy about the orchestral background, i.e. strings (cellos playing baseline) seem to "active" compared to other versions of this piece that I've heard.

I love Sissel... I just think this is just a little to heavy and operatic for her... even though she's kindof opera.
It is pretty... but it doesn't move me like Jessye... although her voice is much prettier.
