Fools, when will you be wise? He who planted the ear, does he not hear? He who formed the eye, does he not see? He who discipline the nations, does he not rebuke? He who teaches man knowledge-the Lord-knows the thoughts of man, that they are but a breath.~ Psalm 92:1
@neyugnyrad do you have any of your own thoughts or do they all come from a book written by ancient goat herders? Because if you don't have any of your own thoughts you can save us both time and not post on my videos as I can read the bible on my own (and have).
God is real dumbass!!! My aunt died but then when we left her i forgot something then i saw her right there behind us who gave her the second life God! Jesus Christ !! Why is there demons! God ! Why is there miracles ??God!!! Cant you see that ??
@heyboys1636 And thats your self delusion. When my mother died I had a vision of her in which she told me that there is an afterlife, but there is no god. Which for me was a bit of a mind-fuck.
What is most likely is that having gone through the trauma of losing someone I loved, my brain gave me the gift of knowing that she was OK .
if your mother was murdered with a hammer in your defense...would you wear a charm of a hammer on your neck? NO. You wouldnt. Christianity was created to give people something to live for, and something to make them do good. And these Christians have taken to a WHOLE 'nother level.
@thepurplepackman How can you manage to even research the subject with such atrocious spelling? I could only imagine how you interpret information, and that's the entire problem with religion.
I think people are scared to think that everything they thought was right might not be. If they would just think for themselves and do a little research as to how some religions came about and consider the facts over faith. Man I hate that word. faith, is a blind belief. how can you denounce something that is researched, demonstrated and proven, and wholeheartedly embrace a story in a book which cannot demonstrate anything else but a hate for anyone different?
@cosmosmonger yes, why would anyone who didn't believe in Jesus, the bible, etc. believe in the "bad guy" of Christianity? It's you paranoid Christians who believe in him who think there's a bunch of people out there that worship him and instead it's just in your deranged minds. The reality is everyone else thinks the whole story is absurd.
The only individuals that don't believe in God are the one's that their minds are not closed but hearts are blind and lost in eternal darkness...You will believe when it's too late...have a nice day.
@Mustafa3662 I'll believe when there is good evidence. It's called being responsible and reasonable. You might consider it yourself one day. If there is a god I hardly expect he gave me a brain to have me not use it.
@Faithfull14ever I think the close minded reputation of religious thinking stems from the fact that the dogma of religion, being considered sacred, cannot be changed. While science on the other hand is always open to new discovery. The really cool part is when we learn something that we thought we knew, it opens up an entirely new set of possibilities. Examples: Flat earth, sun goes round the earth, germ theory. If you refute these, your'e batshit.
@worktosser I like how churchies like Ray Comfort say "you guys change every couple months" not seeing it as advancements and in a sense our own form of evolution. They want to stick to old dumb thinking , i don't think most people believe in a god, per say, i think are scared of their own mortality, and need a "GOD" to to wipe their butts for them, because they believe their T.P. will tear mid-wipe.
@worktosser I dont think it hads so much to do with being closed minded than it does what a person chooses to believe in, Im not closed minded yet Im a Christian & I hv my beliefs like any other; and choose to live a certain way. And as far as science goes they have done some good yes and some bad as well. What I dont get is why those whom dont believe have to bash, start arguements etc over this its childish to say the least. Why cant people agree to disagree and move on.
@Faithfull14ever if you were born in another culture you'd feel exactly the same way about some other god or gods. Your belief is an arbitrary accident of birth, but ya might as well be proud of your faith since that's all it has... it certainly can't stand on facts.
Proof that what that God is real....JERICHO. 1) Jericho still stands today unmodernized because God said that whoever built on it would be cursed. 2) Those who excavated Jericho has backed up the description of Ancient Jericho through the bible.
well it would have to come about some way. im not ignorant at all i have my beliefs and you have yours. and yes you are rite no one knows... that is why its called FAITH.. let me ask you a question. why do you not believe in God? you dont know how the earth came about but what you do know is there had to be some way it was created.
@ameganm100 you might have your faith but I don't hold any religious faith. The question of how everything came to be is interesting and I'd like an answer as much as the next guy, but not enough to accept the unsupported guesses of ancient goat herders.
@mystrybox well it all boils down to faith since no one has proof of any thing. but you still never told me ..... how does earth come from apsolutely nothing... it could not just appear there from nothing... there would have to be somesort of creator.
@ameganm100 if you don't know how something came about that is not evidence for a god. It's evidence that you don't know. Not knowing is not evidence for something else. For example it's a fallacy to say we don't know what color his hair is so therefore he must be bald. The formal name for the fallacy you're making is Argument from Ignorance.
Anybody can get on youtube and make a short clip and read someone else notes, I believe what you are doing is plagiarizing, you are reading what you are saying fool.
God probably dosn't exist. Look back then, the myans, and other pre-historic people. Believed in the "Sun God"... the "God of Water".... we are just in a new time believing in 1 god. THOES gods weren't real. So dosn't that mean this "God" isn't real either? Plus look at everything. Adam and Eve, 2 white people, couldnt have created asian people.. black people... etc. Also, humans werent the first to roam earth. Dinosaurs were. It's just logic.. think about it.
If God wasn't real, then why are you reading this right now? That feeling stirring up inside of you is not just a coincidence. It's God himself trying to push you to get to know him more. Please do not ignore him. Take a chance. Give the lord a try, and you'll never look back.
One more, religion the king the bible preaches was taken from how the Egyptians saw the world.they understood the stars and the scykels.that is where the constellations came from, that's where we get the number 12 from divide by 4 those r our secons, which is where the cross came from, 12 month in a year sound a bell ? Any one? Any way long storie short, the con artist turned all this in to a bible changed the names and basically made it work for them to fool cheat rob and kill millions, amen is
Just because we can't understand yet or may newer, why did all this happened and how, talking before the big bang, doesn't meen I should give a way my brain to a religion that just realy is in it for the money and power? Religion is a realy big lie and the sooner people learn that the better.
Amegan, if you would just put the bible Down for a second and ask your self who wrote it in the firs please and why ,do a little research and amuse your self with what you will find.jesus was con man,any real historian knows that! He is the son of cleopatra and good all Cesar .he was sent of for the fear he would be Killed like his Dady, and so off he went. He lived with the monks in India I belive, when he return he started a new following ,hello Christianity , he performs a marickel by faking
@mystrybox dont you see thats where faith comes in. no it does not make sense for snakes to talk and people to be made from mud and ribs. thats where the faith steps in.i mean no disrespect from what i say. i am only a 15 year old girl. but i do believe in the Bible and every thing in it ..blessed are ye that dont see but believe. and i believe that the same God who created the universe made man from clay. how else did a man just appear?and if he can do tht then surely he can make a snake talk.
@ameganm100 why do you believe stories that when examined seem highly unlikely to be true and very likely to be ancient myth no different than thousands of other ancient writings we all recognize as ancient myth?
@mystrybox well you say that you put God on the same level as pinocheo and other fairy tales. If you really think that then why do you even bother to talk about it.. tell me this how do you think the world even began? things just cant appear from nothing. there had to have been something created at some point. isnt that proof? have you ever seen a man make something appear out of nothing? a universe just cant appear out of nothing.
@ameganm100 I believe the universe, world, life, etc. came about by natural processes. Everything we observe seems to happen by natural processes. Nothing we observe can been shown to happen to due to any magic invisible beings. So my conclusion seems to be reasonable and yours seems to be absurd.
@MystryBox I think its absurd that you think there cant be a God. let me ask you something, to make a watch do you put all the pieces in a box and shake it, no. look at how complex your body is, look at the earth. how could all this have happened by accident, if you ask me there has to be a God
@liampenner Why do you think my position is there can't be a god? I've never said that and that's not my position. As for the watchmaker argument, Life is not a watch. Watches are designed and built. Life is self-replicating. That is a significant difference. Find me a self-replicating watch and I'll show you a watch that is "designed" by a natural process of selection in an environment.
@MystryBox no life is not a watch, and no I cant find you a self replicating watch but don't you think you were designed and built by God too. What other option is there.
@liampenner the other option is "designed" by natural processes. And in fact we know this is how species came to be as you'd learn in any college level biology course. Now maybe a god exists that creates through natural processes but there is no evidence for it... and there evidence AGAINST the view of a god that makes people from mud and a rib.
@MystryBox all I'm saying is this whole time you've been sitting on the fence, I'm asking you how you think the earth was created, is that such a hard question
@liampenner what are you talking about? I'm not on any fence. I'm quite sure I don't know how everything came about. Should I choose a position simply to have an answer even when the correct and honest answer is I don't know? If you asked me to take my best guess I'd reply I suspect it came about via natural processes. Everything we observe works that way--NOTHING has been observed to be the result of any gods.
@MystryBox I assume that when you say "natural processes" you mean the big bang.
If I'm correct (and please correct me if I'm wrong), the idea of the big bang is that a single atom of compressed matter floating through the void of nothingness just exploded for no reason whatsoever and that's how the universe we live in today came to be. Well I respect anyone who believes that because that takes much more faith than believing that my God, the God of the universe created it all.
@liampenner Nice thought terminating cliche but I didn't say anything about the big bang and the fact is I don't know much about the big bang and don't really care. When I say natural processes, I mean natural processes (whatever they might be). ALL explanations we've ever discovered for our reality have boiled down to some unintelligent natural process. No gods. No intelligence. You expect me to surmise an explanation that's NEVER actually been observed to explain anything? EVER?
@liampenner You'd think someone so hot to get a viewpoint out of me might actually LISTEN to it rather than twist it into his own little unrelated talking point. Do you all go off a script or something? I mean it's not like I haven't heard exactly that specific thought terminating cliche a hundred times in nearly precisely those words. Do they teach it that way in your Sunday School or something?
@MystryBox Just because that's the only way you've been taught doesn't mean its the right way. Do you expect me to believe that everything just happened naturally with no cause and no creator whatsoever. like I said before that takes SO much more faith than believing in God, and truly... I do respect you for believing that.
@liampenner If you want to believe it all happened by a magic being go ahead. But I won't be joining you without good evidence. At the moment all evidence points to natural processes. Down through history everything we didn't understand from mental illness to lighting was thought to be controlled by demons or gods or some intelligent magical thing. Instead every time we've found natural processes behind things. Believe like an ancient goat herders if you want, I don't care.
@MystryBox I'm sick and tired of you saying all evidence points to natural processes. There is NO evidence that points to that. There IS however evidence that points to God, there is even historical evidence of a man named Jesus who did walk on the earth. You find me evidence of this "natural processes" theory, then we'll talk.
@liampenner EVERYTHING we've discovered about our reality has been due to natural processes, not ghosts, demons, gods, elves or other notions made up as explanations by the minds of men. You point to something that we haven't yet explained and say this time it will turn out to be god. Well I doubt it. NOTHING has turned out to be anything but natural processes yet and that's a heck of a trend to bet against. So bet on the goat herders if you want, but I won't join you.
@liampenner and if you want evidence for the natural processes take a biology course or a physics course or otherwise find the leading scientific explanation for whatever it is you're wondering about and examine the scientific evidence. Just because you're ignorant of it (as am I because I don't really care) doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Besides, how can you demand evidence from others when you don't provide any for your position? Your position is a joke on all levels.
@MystryBox I have provided tons of evidence, all you've done is say the same thing over and over again in a thousand different ways. You say God was made up by the minds of men? No he wasn't. We were made up from the mind of God. This whole "natural processes" thing you bring up every five seconds, was made from the minds of men!
@liampenner you haven't given any evidence. All you've said is how you don't believe alternative theories on how certain things came to be. That is not evidence for anything.
@liampenner and sorry but the natural processes for all that we've discovered are facts, not things made up. But that you think they're made up show your mind is broken and you're unable to draw rational conclusions about anything. It's no wonder you sit there arguing via logical fallacy.
@liampenner anyway I'm regretting ever getting into a discussion with you. You have nothing to say beyond empty blather that causes me to spend my time trying to explain to you why you're not actually making a case for your position.
@liampenner your entire position is "I can't imagine any other way it can happen so it must be a magic man did it." What you're doing is arguing with a fallacy formally called Argument from Ignorance. Just because we don't know how something happened that isn't evidence your magic theory is true. If you want to show your theory is true you actually have to prove it! So, prove it! I won't hold my breath.
@MystryBox Don't be so oblivious, the evidence is all around you. SO LOOK! look at the complexity of every single species on this earth! Look at the stars for goodness sake, look at the whole universe, how it all works together. Your telling me ALL this happened by ACCIDENT! That's the most ignorant thing I have EVER heard. So until you wake up and take a look around this discussion is over.
@liampenner you keep repeating the same false dilemma. The choices are not restricted to god or "happened by accident." Is the formation of a snowflake or crystal an "accident?" Or are they emergent patterns that arise from the natural properties of our reality? So no, I don't think it all happened by god or by accident, but due to natural properties. I think that because THAT'S ALL WE OBSERVE; we don't observe any supernatural intelligences.
@liampenner and again all you do is say you can't imagine any other way it could have happened other than your god hypothesis. You just keep repeating a logical fallacy as an argument. If you have nothing else to say, you can go away. I've heard your point, it's a fallacy, go tell someone too dumb to know your argument is a fallacy.
@MystryBox Your mind is pretty made up for someone who said their willing to be convinced. If you to blind to realize your whole theory is flawed in every way... then all I can say to you is Jesus loves you and peace out.
@liampenner my mind is made up??? You asked for my opinion and I gave it to you. I don't claim to be correct on the contrary I admit we don't know and I'm quite willing to be shown a better answer. However just saying "It can't be everything from nothing so it must be my god" is not an argument, it's a fallacy. It YOU who has their mind made up. You have drawn a final conclusion when the reality is we don't really know! You project your own closed mind on me.
Ecclesiastes 11:5-As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.
@Mr1991Wright quoting a book at someone who doesn't accept the authority of the book is a waste of your time and mine. You might as well be quoting mother goose.
@Mr1991Wright right, because you're god is an @sshole who hides from his creations and then punishes them for honestly failing to find them. Is that it? And you worship that notion?
da fk? you dont know anything you cant even see .0000000000000000000000001 % of the universe , actually way more, and ur saying that jsut because you cant you dont believe in things that are more powerful than you...
@thesaber903 pagan = theist who likes role playing games rather than being a conformist to authority. Unfortunately pagans have no more evidence for their beliefs than any other theist, nor do they observe and draw rational conclusions about reality any better than other theists (in my opinion). But you get points for not being into the authority conformity thing.
@MystryBox Yh right ther is evidence alright there is just not much of it because the religion is one of the oldest along with hinduism that is like a sister to the pagans ..... if you reaserch enough stuff you will find that Christanity etc is a branch of Paganism etc. Im gonna go because i dont want to get in anything with hate :)
@MrHotwheelsfan1 finding out when I'm dead isn't good enough. It matters now when I'm alive and can do something. If I'm right and when you're dead then you're dead, then it's more important than ever to live this life like it's all I get. You can your life for supposed pie in the sky after you die if you want, I'm more into reality.
@92merci why exactly do you have to pray for me? Does god not know I'd appreciate knowing here's there if he is there? Is god going to bend the rules of the universe if YOU ask him to? Are you that powerful?
dude how are you not be scared that the fack that if the world ends that no one is going to be rezerrected and the no life will be in the univer your going to hell and if life is to fucking short then make the right choice and believe so you wake up
@ryan60967 because I can't fool myself into thinking that if I believe in magic that I won't one day die. I actually understand that believing something on faith doesn't make it true. So instead I face reality like a man.
@nikita26261 so you dont think the cause of surviving is by God how else can you explain it... there has been people shot in the brain and still lived and are perfectly fine today and there is never going to be a scientific answer for that.. not now and not in the future .. and if no one can explain it now , what makes you think they can explain it in the future?
@ameganm100 rare things happen all the time. But the supernatural does not. Show me a man walking around without a heart or a head and we can talk about magic beings existing making it happen. Until then you're just taking rare events and claiming they are evidence for your favorite magic being.
so your looking for proof.... your never gonna find physical proof of any kind. FAITH is basically believing with out seeing. for example do evolutionists have proof...no. have they ever seen monkeys turn into men.. no. but yet they believe any ways. the difference between evolution and creation is.. does it make sense for life to just appear on a tiny spec of dirt in space ? no...
and im sick and tired of these up and down quarreling and battles between me and this God person which i still believe in, though i get fuckery from him from time to time. God is not the cuase of our problems. however he allows all problems to happen. therefore i believe god is to be blamed for every fuckery you experience. i dont understand giving us bad circumstances because of our sin.. we'll sin again because we're now pissed off, so it's a never ending circle... i wish i was never borned.
I can tell you, I'm living proof that God is real.. I had a tumer lodged in the left part of my brain doctors operated on me at the age of 3yrs, Said I would only live to see 13yrs but I survived 28 yrs with 2 kids and still moving. god talks to you true your conscience...
@nikita26261 I see, so all the people that have similar experiences as you (or even more extreme ones), that means their religion is true right? Or is your medical experience only proof of your religion when it happens to you?
MystryBox has already pointed out how people from other religions can share similar experiences to you making that argument void.
I want to point out that even if your story is completely true, it does not necessarily mean that the cause of this occurring is a god. There will be a perfectly reasonable scientific explanation for why this happened. Even if at the present it is unexplainable, it does not mean that it is supernatural.
You said in this video that God doesn't do any of the miraculous things of the Bible today. That isn't a true statement. If you are really, truly searching for something I suggest that you travel to a place where testimonies of miracles that God is doing are coming out all of the time. Two of these places would be the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, MO or Bethel Church in Redding, California. Both places have healings, miracles, and more happen every week.
@Superselb25 um no. The sorts of things that happen in the "charismatic" churches and similar gatherings of believers are in the minds of the members. Those are very poor "miracles" and hardly deserving of the term. There are no objective miracles going on like in the bible with the sun stopping in the sky, people turning into pillars of salt, or seas parting.
@MystryBox What is your reasoning behind these things only being in the minds of the members? People have had spines with scoliosis straighten and healed. People with cancer have had cancer disappear. And they aren't just people saying this. In many cases there are X-rays of these things that prove before and after that healings happened. I have had this happen to people that I know and family members. So the healing isn't fake. Do you just believe the means by which they got healed are fake?
@Superselb25 my reasoning is based on the experiences of those that have objectively examined such claims. The fact is people aren't being healed. If the person had an actual diagnosed problem, if you check up on them weeks later they still have the problem (though normally they never had a diagnosed problem in the first place). If people were really being healed churches would be filled with cancer patients being healed rather than hospitals being full of them.
@Superselb25 yes, and it's disgusting. They don't actually get healed. They get false hope and waste their time seeing a fake "healing show" when they could be going to an actual doctor. Every time these things get investigated they are shown to not be actually healing. Were you born yesterday to believe what has been found to be false every time it was examined objectively? Go read "Faith Healers" by Randi for an accounting of such investigations.
@MystryBox I'm sorry I can't agree with you. People I know and even family members have been healed by God. It's not like I'm trying to argue a real or fake thing with you because I have seen it happen and know people who have been diagnosed with different illnesses and they have gone back to the doctor after being prayed for whether it was a few days or a week and it was no longer there. Believe whatever you want of course I was just giving my own testimony.
@Superselb25 prove it. If people were really being cured of cancer on any sort of measurable basis the hospital cancer wards would be empty and everyone would be Christian. The fact is beyond the rare remission in cancer that happens to people of any faith, nobody is being cured of caner in your church. If you dispute this, prove your unlikely claim.
@MystryBox It wouldn't be all over the world because the world doesn't believe it is happening unless they have been there. I don't see miracles happening in very many churches at all. But It happens all the time that I know of at places like the International House of Prayer in Kansas City and at Bethel Church in Redding, California. Like I said I was just telling what I've seen and experienced and I would encourage you to go see for yourself. If you don't believe that's fine.
@Superselb25 actually people are quite willing to believe objective evidence. The problem is your religion can't actually provide any. I mean you can claim magic is happening at the international house of pancakes or whatever it is you're talking about, but why should I believe an empty claim like that with nothing to back it up? If you're unable to provide support for your claims that's fine, I'm quite aware you cannot.
@MystryBox I'll try to get a hold of the person who has the pictures though. I'll see if they have them and if so I'll try to find a way to put them on here for you or email them or something.
@Superselb25 a picture of what? Someone being slapped on the forehead or rolling around with "the spirit" babbling nonsense? If people are being healed of cancer lets hear from the doctors who make the diagnosis before and after. There should some every week ready to explain the miracles happening there and how they don't need to practice medicine anymore because after thousands of years of failure suddenly prayer has started to work.
@MystryBox Bethel Church has doctors who do that. Go and see. If you only believe if you yourself experience it then go experience it. If you say its fake and I say it's real then one of us is wrong and I've been there and it is real. I encourage you to go and see.
@Superselb25 Who cares what I think? If it's real the priest should go to a children's cancer ward and start healing NOW. Children have perfect faith so that's not a problem. They are suffering and dying right NOW. How can you let kids suffer if there is help?!? If your claims had any merit those soon-to-be-dead kids should walk out healed. Bring the media and I'll watch it on the news.
Or rather I'll hear your excuse why nobody does that (real reason: because it's fake, duh!).
@MystryBox I'm just telling you what I've seen and experienced. And what I've seen and experienced is real. If you do want to see a person who has done amazing things as far as healing with kids and what not though you should look up Heidi Baker.
@Superselb25 you live in a fantasy world surrounded by frauds, liars and other fools who are very good at fooling themselves. Even most other Christian sects don't believe the crap you've fallen victim to. Truly it's sad. Anytime you doubt it think about the Children's cancer ward thing and why none of these "healers" you idolize do it. Maybe one day you'll wake up.
@helldog6 the evidence of aliens being more advanced is in videos and pictures, UFO's are more advanced than any flying spacecraft we have also it can fly inside and outside of the atmosphere
....and what is there upmost interest? Dabbling with the seed of man as stated in the Bible, that's why they kidnap in the first place. " Aliens" have also been forced to flee during abduction attempts by using the name of Jesus, hmmm strange.
@gamecollect101 you're a good example of someone with zero critical thinking skills who believes any trash they read. When I come across someone like you all I can do is recommend the book "The Demon Haunted World" by Carl Sagan to you. I doubt you'll read it but you should.
@MystryBox, Yeah there so advanced that if you look at actual upclose u.f.o footage from N.A.S.A in space you'll see that they're actually orbs, same exact anomily caught during ghost hunts numnuts.
@gamecollect101 UFOs are just that. Unidentified flying objects. They are unknown things, not supernatural things. Even if aliens exist they wouldn't be supernatural anyway. Catch a ghost and then we'll talk.
@MystryBox, No one has proved it? I think you might want to rearrange that to: most refuse to research the evidence, witnesses, vids, books etc. btw which government are you reffering to? Yes everyone below the President is innept and everyone above is not.
@gamecollect101 the evidence for the supernatural is poor and yes there is no proof. The books are pseudo-science or worse. Pick any supposed proof you want and I can explain why it's not what it appears to be (or you can research the other side of the story and save me the trouble).
@ MysrtyBox, You really think your government would really let you know the truth if they knew? The same owners that control absoluty everything your exposed to on television, the media, news, our school systems, newspaper etc....do even know what they believe in and what their pushing for and promoting???? Pull a dollar bill outta your pocket and take a good long hard look at it.
@gamecollect101 lol. I agree with you somewhat on money and gov't wanting to control us, but it's overt not some secret conspiracy. The gov't is too inept for grand secret conspiracies. If the supernatural existed someone out there would be able to show it. Nobody can.
@MystryBox, I wish my experiences were as subtle as your own, btw SP is bullshit. Please properly research that topic, all doctors and so called experts have is assumptions and that is a fact. Guess what people encounter during these episodes, now keep in mind that a camera cannot pick up spiritual frequencies unless it's a thermal cam and medical experts do not research paranormal activity so they don't conduct the right type of investigation to have the right answers, the they would'nt make $
@gamecollect101 actually there has been tons of research into "paranormal" activity from universities, governments, private groups, etc. all over the world. NONE of them have been able to show anything worth continuing to spend money studying let alone actually prove any sort of supernatural phenomenon exists. It's a fruitless field most likely because the supernatural doesn't exist.
Actually medical help would be the wrong thing for spiritual occurences unless you get your car fixed at a dentist office, use your skull dude the medical field is limited and whatever they can't fix they drug idiot.
@MystryBox, Sorry chuck, my wife and I perfectly fine, not everyone goes through the same experiences. Just by your answer I realize how much personal research, life experiences you've had and investigating you've really done. Tons of people that I know who have gone through these same type of experiences but it's stuff few talk about openly because guess what, according to the medical field you get categorized as a loon simply because these things defy OUR logical tunnel vision way of thinking.
@gamecollect101 I have episodes of sleep paralyses with hypnagogic hallucinations--basically I occasionally dream while awake. So I'm aware what it's like to apparently observe impossible things and I'm also aware such things are quite common (e.g. as much as 1% of the population has schizophrenia for just one disease effecting observation). I don't go around thinking my hallucinations are real because I have researched and discovered what my episodes were and how to reduce their occurrence.
@gamecollect101 (cont) people who have the disorder I have but who like you don't look into what it actually is, walking around believing they've been abducted by aliens or raped by succubi. Again I recommend that if you experience repeated examples of apparently supernatural phenomenon you stop being a gullible ignorant and either examine the supposed experiences closely to discover the rational explanation, or get professional help.
Simple question. Simple answer: No.

Faithfull14ever 1 month ago

Mutherzmilk 3 weeks ago
@worktosser I dont think it hads so much to do with being closed minded than it does what a person chooses to believe in, Im not closed minded yet Im a Christian & I hv my beliefs like any other; and choose to live a certain way. What I dont get is why those whom dont believe have to bash, start arguements etc over this its childish to say the least. Why cant people agree to disagree and move on.

@ameganm100 you might have your faith but I don't hold any religious faith. The question of how everything came to be is interesting and I'd like an answer as much as the next guy, but not enough to accept the unsupported guesses of ancient goat herders.
MystryBox 1 month ago
@mystrybox well it all boils down to faith since no one has proof of any thing. but you still never told me ..... how does earth come from apsolutely nothing... it could not just appear there from nothing... there would have to be somesort of creator.
ameganm100 1 month ago
@ameganm100 if you don't know how something came about that is not evidence for a god. It's evidence that you don't know. Not knowing is not evidence for something else. @mystrybox well you say that you put God on the same level as pinocheo and other fairy tales. ameganm100 1 month ago
@ameganm100 I believe the universe, world, life, etc. came about by natural processes. Everything we observe seems to happen by natural processes. Nothing we observe can been shown to happen to due to any magic invisible beings. So my conclusion seems to be reasonable and yours seems to be absurd.
MystryBox 1 month ago
@MystryBox I think its absurd that you think there cant be a God. let me ask you something, to make a watch do you put all the pieces in a box and shake it, no. look at how complex your body is, look at the earth. how could all this have happened by accident, if you ask me there has to be a God
liampenner 1 month ago
@liampenner Why do you think my position is there can't be a god? I've never said that and that's not my position. As for the watchmaker argument, Life is not a watch. Watches are designed and built. Life is self-replicating. That is a significant difference. Find me a self-replicating watch and I'll show you a watch that is "designed" by a natural process of selection in an environment.
MystryBox 1 month ago
@MystryBox no life is not a watch, and no I cant find you a self replicating watch but don't you think you were designed and built by God too. What other option is there.
liampenner 1 month ago
@liampenner the other option is "designed" by natural processes. And in fact we know this is how species came to be as you'd learn in any college level biology course. Now maybe a god exists that creates through natural processes but there is no evidence for it... and there evidence AGAINST the view of a god that makes people from mud and a rib.
MystryBox 1 month ago
@MystryBox Before I start to rip apart the shallow opinion you call a point... I'd like to know where you stand in all this.
liampenner 1 month ago
@liampenner why would I want to respond to someone who seems to be proud that they're going to be an ass?
MystryBox 1 month ago
@MystryBox all I'm saying is this whole time you've been sitting on the fence, I'm asking you how you think the earth was created, is that such a hard question
liampenner 1 month ago
@liampenner what are you talking about? I'm not on any fence. I'm quite sure I don't know how everything came about. Should I choose a position simply to have an answer even when the correct and honest answer is I don't know? If you asked me to take my best guess I'd reply I suspect it came about via natural processes. Everything we observe works that way--NOTHING has been observed to be the result of any gods.
MystryBox 1 month ago
@MystryBox I assume that when you say "natural processes" you mean the big bang.
If I'm correct (and please correct me if I'm wrong), the idea of the big bang is that a single atom of compressed matter floating through the void of nothingness just exploded for no reason whatsoever and that's how the universe we live in today came to be. Well I respect anyone who believes that because that takes much more faith than believing that my God, the God of the universe created it all.
liampenner 1 month ago
@liampenner Nice thought terminating cliche but I didn't say anything about the big bang and the fact is I don't know much about the big bang and don't really care. When I say natural processes, I mean natural processes (whatever they might be). ALL explanations we've ever discovered for our reality have boiled down to some unintelligent natural process. No gods. No intelligence. You expect me to surmise an explanation that's NEVER actually been observed to explain anything? EVER?
MystryBox 1 month ago
@liampenner You'd think someone so hot to get a viewpoint out of me might actually LISTEN to it rather than twist it into his own little unrelated talking point. Do you all go off a script or something? I mean it's not like I haven't heard exactly that specific thought terminating cliche a hundred times in nearly precisely those words. Do they teach it that way in your Sunday School or something?
MystryBox 1 month ago
@MystryBox Just because that's the only way you've been taught doesn't mean its the right way. Do you expect me to believe that everything just happened naturally with no cause and no creator whatsoever. like I said before that takes SO much more faith than believing in God, and truly... I do respect you for believing that.
liampenner 1 month ago
@liampenner If you want to believe it all happened by a magic being go ahead. But I won't be joining you without good evidence. At the moment all evidence points to natural processes. Down through history everything we didn't understand from mental illness to lighting was thought to be controlled by demons or gods or some intelligent magical thing. Instead every time we've found natural processes behind things. Believe like an ancient goat herders if you want, I don't care.
MystryBox 1 month ago
@MystryBox I'm sick and tired of you saying all evidence points to natural processes. There is NO evidence that points to that. There IS however evidence that points to God, there is even historical evidence of a man named Jesus who did walk on the earth. You find me evidence of this "natural processes" theory, then we'll talk.
liampenner 1 month ago
@liampenner EVERYTHING we've discovered about our reality has been due to natural processes, not ghosts, demons, gods, elves or other notions made up as explanations by the minds of men. You point to something that we haven't yet explained and say this time it will turn out to be god. Well I doubt it. NOTHING has turned out to be anything but natural processes yet and that's a heck of a trend to bet against. So bet on the goat herders if you want, but I won't join you.
MystryBox 1 month ago
@liampenner and if you want evidence for the natural processes take a biology course or a physics course or otherwise find the leading scientific explanation for whatever it is you're wondering about and examine the scientific evidence. Just because you're ignorant of it (as am I because I don't really care) doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Besides, how can you demand evidence from others when you don't provide any for your position? Your position is a joke on all levels.
MystryBox 1 month ago
@MystryBox I have provided tons of evidence, all you've done is say the same thing over and over again in a thousand different ways. You say God was made up by the minds of men? No he wasn't. We were made up from the mind of God. This whole "natural processes" thing you bring up every five seconds, was made from the minds of men!
liampenner 1 month ago
@liampenner you haven't given any evidence. All you've said is how you don't believe alternative theories on how certain things came to be. That is not evidence for anything.
MystryBox 1 month ago
@liampenner and sorry but the natural processes for all that we've discovered are facts, not things made up. But that you think they're made up show your mind is broken and you're unable to draw rational conclusions about anything. It's no wonder you sit there arguing via logical fallacy.
MystryBox 1 month ago
@liampenner anyway I'm regretting ever getting into a discussion with you. You have nothing to say beyond empty blather that causes me to spend my time trying to explain to you why you're not actually making a case for your position.
MystryBox 1 month ago
@liampenner your entire position is "I can't imagine any other way it can happen so it must be a magic man did it." What you're doing is arguing with a fallacy formally called Argument from Ignorance. Just because we don't know how something happened that isn't evidence your magic theory is true. If you want to show your theory is true you actually have to prove it! So, prove it! I won't hold my breath.
MystryBox 1 month ago
@MystryBox Don't be so oblivious, the evidence is all around you. SO LOOK! look at the complexity of every single species on this earth! Look at the stars for goodness sake, look at the whole universe, how it all works together. Your telling me ALL this happened by ACCIDENT! That's the most ignorant thing I have EVER heard. So until you wake up and take a look around this discussion is over.
liampenner 1 month ago
@liampenner Yeah, that's not proof of an entity causing the big bang or anything. Give us proof, not your crap.
MajickDemoniack 1 month ago
@liampenner you keep repeating the same false dilemma. The choices are not restricted to god or "happened by accident." Is the formation of a snowflake or crystal an "accident?" Or are they emergent patterns that arise from the natural properties of our reality? So no, I don't think it all happened by god or by accident, but due to natural properties. I think that because THAT'S ALL WE OBSERVE; we don't observe any supernatural intelligences.
MystryBox 1 month ago
@liampenner and again all you do is say you can't imagine any other way it could have happened other than your god hypothesis. You just keep repeating a logical fallacy as an argument. If you have nothing else to say, you can go away. I've heard your point, it's a fallacy, go tell someone too dumb to know your argument is a fallacy.
MystryBox 1 month ago
@MystryBox Your mind is pretty made up for someone who said their willing to be convinced. If you to blind to realize your whole theory is flawed in every way... then all I can say to you is Jesus loves you and peace out.
liampenner 1 month ago
@liampenner my mind is made up??? You asked for my opinion and I gave it to you. I don't claim to be correct on the contrary I admit we don't know and I'm quite willing to be shown a better answer. However just saying "It can't be everything from nothing so it must be my god" is not an argument, it's a fallacy. It YOU who has their mind made up. You have drawn a final conclusion when the reality is we don't really know! You project your own closed mind on me.

Superselb25 3 months ago
@Superselb25 um no. The sorts of things that happen in the "charismatic" churches and similar gatherings of believers are in the minds of the members. Those are very poor "miracles" and hardly deserving of the term. There are no objective miracles going on like in the bible with the sun stopping in the sky, people turning into pillars of salt, or seas parting.
MystryBox 3 months ago
@MystryBox What is your reasoning behind these things only being in the minds of the members? People have had spines with scoliosis straighten and healed. People with cancer have had cancer disappear. And they aren't just people saying this. In many cases there are X-rays of these things that prove before and after that healings happened. I have had this happen to people that I know and family members. So the healing isn't fake. Do you just believe the means by which they got healed are fake?
Superselb25 3 months ago
@Superselb25 my reasoning is based on the experiences of those that have objectively examined such claims. The fact is people aren't being healed. If the person had an actual diagnosed problem, if you check up on them weeks later they still have the problem (though normally they never had a diagnosed problem in the first place). If people were really being healed churches would be filled with cancer patients being healed rather than hospitals being full of them.
MystryBox 3 months ago
@MystryBox That's what I was saying. That is happening at Bethel Church. People come from all over the country and world for healing.
Superselb25 3 months ago
@Superselb25 yes, and it's disgusting. They don't actually get healed. They get false hope and waste their time seeing a fake "healing show" when they could be going to an actual doctor. Every time these things get investigated they are shown to not be actually healing. Were you born yesterday to believe what has been found to be false every time it was examined objectively? Go read "Faith Healers" by Randi for an accounting of such investigations.
MystryBox 3 months ago
@MystryBox I'm sorry I can't agree with you. People I know and even family members have been healed by God. It's not like I'm trying to argue a real or fake thing with you because I have seen it happen and know people who have been diagnosed with different illnesses and they have gone back to the doctor after being prayed for whether it was a few days or a week and it was no longer there. Believe whatever you want of course I was just giving my own testimony.
Superselb25 3 months ago
@Superselb25 sure, I've been healed by praying too. I even made a video about it. See my video "A Atheist Finds God!"
MystryBox 3 months ago
@MystryBox Lol funny video but I'm not talking about tummy aches. I'm talking about cancer and scoliosis.
Superselb25 3 months ago
@Superselb25 prove it. If people were really being cured of cancer on any sort of measurable basis the hospital cancer wards would be empty and everyone would be Christian. The fact is beyond the rare remission in cancer that happens to people of any faith, nobody is being cured of caner in your church. If you dispute this, prove your unlikely claim.
MystryBox 3 months ago
@MystryBox It wouldn't be all over the world because the world doesn't believe it is happening unless they have been there. I don't see miracles happening in very many churches at all. But It happens all the time that I know of at places like the International House of Prayer in Kansas City and at Bethel Church in Redding, California. Like I said I was just telling what I've seen and experienced and I would encourage you to go see for yourself. If you don't believe that's fine.
Superselb25 3 months ago
@Superselb25 actually people are quite willing to believe objective evidence. The problem is your religion can't actually provide any. I mean you can claim magic is happening at the international house of pancakes or whatever it is you're talking about, but why should I believe an empty claim like that with nothing to back it up? If you're unable to provide support for your claims that's fine, I'm quite aware you cannot.
MystryBox 3 months ago
@MystryBox I'll try to get a hold of the person who has the pictures though. I'll see if they have them and if so I'll try to find a way to put them on here for you or email them or something.
Superselb25 3 months ago
@Superselb25 a picture of what? Someone being slapped on the forehead or rolling around with "the spirit" babbling nonsense? If people are being healed of cancer lets hear from the doctors who make the diagnosis before and after. There should some every week ready to explain the miracles happening there and how they don't need to practice medicine anymore because after thousands of years of failure suddenly prayer has started to work.
MystryBox 3 months ago
@MystryBox Bethel Church has doctors who do that. Go and see. If you only believe if you yourself experience it then go experience it. If you say its fake and I say it's real then one of us is wrong and I've been there and it is real. I encourage you to go and see.
Superselb25 2 months ago
@Superselb25 Who cares what I think? If it's real the priest should go to a children's cancer ward and start healing NOW. Children have perfect faith so that's not a problem. They are suffering and dying right NOW. How can you let kids suffer if there is help?!? If your claims had any merit those soon-to-be-dead kids should walk out healed. Bring the media and I'll watch it on the news.
Or rather I'll hear your excuse why nobody does that (real reason: because it's fake, duh!).
MystryBox 2 months ago
@MystryBox I'm just telling you what I've seen and experienced. And what I've seen and experienced is real. If you do want to see a person who has done amazing things as far as healing with kids and what not though you should look up Heidi Baker.
Superselb25 2 months ago
@Superselb25 you live in a fantasy world surrounded by frauds, liars and other fools who are very good at fooling themselves. Even most other Christian sects don't believe the crap you've fallen victim to. Truly it's sad. Anytime you doubt it think about the Children's cancer ward thing and why none of these "healers" you idolize do it. Maybe one day you'll wake up.

@helldog6 the evidence of aliens being more advanced is in videos and pictures, UFO's are more advanced than any flying spacecraft we have also it can fly inside and outside of the atmosphere
Grantboi8 3 months ago
....and what is there upmost interest? Dabbling with the seed of man as stated in the Bible, that's why they kidnap in the first place. " Aliens" have also been forced to flee during abduction attempts by using the name of Jesus, hmmm strange.
gamecollect101 3 months ago
@gamecollect101 you're a good example of someone with zero critical thinking skills who believes any trash they read. When I come across someone like you all I can do is recommend the book "The Demon Haunted World" by Carl Sagan to you. I doubt you'll read it but you should.
MystryBox 3 months ago
@MystryBox, Yeah there so advanced that if you look at actual upclose u.f.o footage from N.A.S.A in space you'll see that they're actually orbs, same exact anomily caught during ghost hunts numnuts.
gamecollect101 3 months ago
@MystryBox, So did u watch the vid? That my friend is supernatural....and so are "aliens"
gamecollect101 3 months ago
@gamecollect101 um no. Aliens would just be an advanced life form. The same as us but more advanced. That's not supernatural.
MystryBox 3 months ago
@MystryBox well who says Aliens have to be "more advanced"?
Helldog6 3 months ago
@MystryBox, Explain U.f.o over Jerusalem that was caught by multiple cameras by complety random folks and we'll move on to the next.
gamecollect101 3 months ago
@gamecollect101 UFOs are just that. Unidentified flying objects. They are unknown things, not supernatural things. Even if aliens exist they wouldn't be supernatural anyway. Catch a ghost and then we'll talk.
MystryBox 3 months ago
@MystryBox, No one has proved it? I think you might want to rearrange that to: most refuse to research the evidence, witnesses, vids, books etc. btw which government are you reffering to? Yes everyone below the President is innept and everyone above is not.
gamecollect101 3 months ago
@gamecollect101 the evidence for the supernatural is poor and yes there is no proof. The books are pseudo-science or worse. Pick any supposed proof you want and I can explain why it's not what it appears to be (or you can research the other side of the story and save me the trouble).
MystryBox 3 months ago
@ MysrtyBox, You really think your government would really let you know the truth if they knew? The same owners that control absoluty everything your exposed to on television, the media, news, our school systems, newspaper etc....do even know what they believe in and what their pushing for and promoting???? Pull a dollar bill outta your pocket and take a good long hard look at it.
gamecollect101 3 months ago
@gamecollect101 lol. I agree with you somewhat on money and gov't wanting to control us, but it's overt not some secret conspiracy. The gov't is too inept for grand secret conspiracies. If the supernatural existed someone out there would be able to show it. Nobody can.
MystryBox 3 months ago
@MystryBox, I wish my experiences were as subtle as your own, btw SP is bullshit. Please properly research that topic, all doctors and so called experts have is assumptions and that is a fact. Guess what people encounter during these episodes, now keep in mind that a camera cannot pick up spiritual frequencies unless it's a thermal cam and medical experts do not research paranormal activity so they don't conduct the right type of investigation to have the right answers, the they would'nt make $
gamecollect101 3 months ago
@gamecollect101 actually there has been tons of research into "paranormal" activity from universities, governments, private groups, etc. all over the world. NONE of them have been able to show anything worth continuing to spend money studying let alone actually prove any sort of supernatural phenomenon exists. It's a fruitless field most likely because the supernatural doesn't exist.
MystryBox 3 months ago
Actually medical help would be the wrong thing for spiritual occurences unless you get your car fixed at a dentist office, use your skull dude the medical field is limited and whatever they can't fix they drug idiot.
gamecollect101 3 months ago
@gamecollect101 that's just the point, these aren't spiritual experiences. And nobody is suggesting drugs are the answer either.
MystryBox 3 months ago
@MystryBox, Sorry chuck, my wife and I perfectly fine, not everyone goes through the same experiences. Just by your answer I realize how much personal research, life experiences you've had and investigating you've really done. Tons of people that I know who have gone through these same type of experiences but it's stuff few talk about openly because guess what, according to the medical field you get categorized as a loon simply because these things defy OUR logical tunnel vision way of thinking.
gamecollect101 3 months ago
@gamecollect101 I have episodes of sleep paralyses with hypnagogic hallucinations--basically I occasionally dream while awake. So I'm aware what it's like to apparently observe impossible things and I'm also aware such things are quite common (e.g. as much as 1% of the population has schizophrenia for just one disease effecting observation). I don't go around thinking my hallucinations are real because I have researched and discovered what my episodes were and how to reduce their occurrence.
MystryBox 3 months ago
@gamecollect101 (cont) people who have the disorder I have but who like you don't look into what it actually is, walking around believing they've been abducted by aliens or raped by succubi. Again I recommend that if you experience repeated examples of apparently supernatural phenomenon you stop being a gullible ignorant and either examine the supposed experiences closely to discover the rational explanation, or get professional help.
