@bigluke34 Like Jay-Z said "I dumbed it down for my audiences to double my dollars, they criticize me for it but they all yell "holla". He makes the radio songs for money but instead of completely selling out, he still makes deep and meaningful songs for his true fans. And even if we criticize him for the radio hits we still recognize his talent

AYYY MANN THIS TRACK IS FUCKIN BRUTAL BUT I WANT EVERYONE TO CHECK OUT A GUY NAMED HUMBLE THE POET. HE RAPS ON THIS BEAT AND THE NAME OF THE SONG VOICE OF THE VOICELESS ITS TUFF!!

You can't single out any politician for being responsible for the levies breaking. You can't even blame the hurricane either.
First off, Katrina was a category 3 when it made landfall which means it WASN'T nearly the most powerful hurricane ever in the grand scheme of things. Secondly, it was the failure of the Reagan, Bush Sr., Clinton, and Bush Jr.'s administrations to answer the pleas by the New Orleans Corps of engineers to renovate the levies. No one did anything boom disaster.
And rescuing thousands of people of the roofs of their houses with water all around aint exactly the easiest thing. And according to statistics, white people make up 28% of New Orleans, and they accounted for 36.6% of the total deaths. So how can it be racist? White on white? No it wasn't racist, it's called apathetic disaster.
try again dumb ass, whites accounted for 39%. you racists can argue politically and point the finger at whitey all you want but hurricane warnings come out almost a week in advance. how come they didn't just leave? of course its going to breed disaster when you have a large population who refuse to leave and all get stuck on their roofs and expect helicopters to come 24/7 and rescue them. in my opinion unless you're handicapped, if you didn't leave your home then its your own fault if you die.
@kmcl11 Look it up for yourself I'm not your mother, no one's stopping you. However, the facts are the facts and you can interpret them however you want but I will always feel that it's unfair to scapegoat a president as racist when we had 42 of them prior to Bush who helped bring this nation through some of the lowest points of crisis to the highest points of prosperity. Just as it would be ignorant for me to say Obama caused the oil crisis, it's ignorant to say Bush is racist regarding Katrina
@djm5493 I don't think Bush is really a racist. It was just hard hearing him joking about it like we weren't struggling down here. "You're doing a heck of a job, Brownie." It was really just his indifference to the whole situation that set people off.
However, being white and from New Orleans (St. Bernard Parish, actually), I do feel like if this had been a whiter city, the federal money would have come pouring in. But that's my opinion, of course.
@djm5493 Don't make comments about situations you know nothing about. My family was able to evacuate, but barely. We lucked out when the hotel which we were staying let us stay for free and we had a family member in North Carolina. New Orleans government does NOT take care of its citizens like other cities do. We have at least 2 evacuations a year. Some just didn't believe it would be that bad. How can you really tell? We'd never left for any other hurricane.
I can feel what he's saying, but u guys gotta kno that the government in place down at New Orleans at the time, new that if a hurricane hit that this would happen. New Orleans was horribly built and the government down their did nothing about it. And since Bush is a white republican and is president, u guys immedantly blame Bush. Shit guys, runnin this country isnt easy.
A yo come to my page and listen to my "Syphilis Rap," I made the beat then raped it. It came out pretty cool. Oh yeah, one last thing, if you come to my page me and all my friends will help save endangered wildlife. And if you dont, we will help slaughter endangered wildlife, the choice is yours.

Jay-z has good music and good punches. He beat the CRAP out of out of some dude yesterday night in NYC after he called him a nigger , the guy was demolished. TMZ posted the video at tmzfights. com
this has got 2 b jay-z's best song from where i see it, the lyrics were good & very deep and yea FUCK GEORGE BUSH man Jay-Z, Eminem & Nas are my favorite rappers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@aman69brown way to say it right. The 40 people who dislike this vid are a bunch of uptight hyper religious whites who hate black people and rap and jerk off to Dick Cheney.
As much as I hate Bush, Bush actually tried to help out in New Orleans but the Louisiana governor wanted to handle things himself so he rejected bush's help. Without the consent of the governor for that state Bush could do nothing. FACT
@hitokirikun legally true... morally .. horse shyt.. the governor can kiss my ass if my american citizens are passing away from lack of urgency.. jus sayin
Rap Music and it's contradictions! How the hell u gonna loot when u r stuck on the roof? If it's ur own roof u got loot urself? or let's say u on sumbody else's roof, what can u loot from a roof?!! A cable tv dish?
Ive been a nas fan from day one and i have often chose to overlook or simply deny that jayz is near nas' level but hearing most of underground shit ie not mainstream im starting to feel him.afterall he did say he dumbed down his lyrics for his audience in one of his songs, cant remember which one. this track is hot and i did know jay could spit like that.
this is definately an underrated track and even album for that matter! this deserves more pub then BP3....check out this group "INRG" that i found...they are keeping hip hop alive!!
@Shtout Haaaaaa. Learn to read through a comment properly before getting angry and spreading the H word. Mine didn't get 31 thumbs up for no reason, you know.
@Iknowabout911 dude dont ever compare jay z to george bush. i dont give a fuck if he is a mason..he aint never did nuthin bad to me. he didnt start a war, and crash the economy. his songs have helped me get through many of times when i felt like no one understood me.
Wouldn't you loot? if you didn't have the loot/ Baby neede food and your stuck on a roof/ And helicopter swoop down just to get a scoop/ throught his telescopic lens but he didn't scoop you?/ ........ That is just Nasy Skillz right there.
I love this song!It is sad but it shows once again the talent of jay-z

@aman69brown way to say it right. The 40 people who dislike this vid are a bunch of uptight hyper religious whites who hate black people and rap and jerk off to Dick Cheney.

@aman69brown the wayy the u.s. handled katrina was not bushes fault u stupid fuck.

@aman69brown
As much as I hate Bush, Bush actually tried to help out in New Orleans but the Louisiana governor wanted to handle things himself so he rejected bush's help. Without the consent of the governor for that state Bush could do nothing. FACT

@hitokirikun legally true... morally .. horse shyt.. the governor can kiss my ass if my american citizens are passing away from lack of urgency.. jus sayin
