  • i prefer mendoza and the tight waist ankle

  • these aren't takedowns

  • Aways keep your head up it's the first thing I learned and it's my first year

  • You would have to be a horrible wrestler, who sags their head down while standing up?

  • could that be a pin ? or is it just backpoints?

  • @fuekvang both

  • @fuekvang depends what the ref think about it

  • @fuekvang if you're good it can be a pin, but if you're good enough to pull the move you'll hear "near fall" alot.

  • so pretty much what ur saying is its usless to even use this move cuz odds are it the other person wont be in that position. right?

  • it wouldnt work unless he is just real bad at standups

  • i would hope no wrestler would get up like that ....you will never catch a good wrestler like that cuz his leg will never end up in that position...

  • @assholeman13 true, you just put the butterfly hold on when his knee is on the mat ;)

  • um... hook their leg laying on the mat, with your leg (0:58), then slowly roll back, away from their head. boom... stacked.

  • thats the weirdest thing my school is eagles too and i learned this trick todayy o.O

  • How about we just jump to a hip to hip cradle going to the front and doing all that movement is a waste of time

  • That's why wen u stand up u look up not down

  • but in wrestling u cant lock ur hands together he did wtf?

  • you can if your locking for a pin combination, or have an arm

  • you can only lock hands on bottom durring a pinning combination

  • @snowbanditz Around waist

  • or send the dude off the mat in pain by putting him in a spread eagle

  • thats a terrible cradle

  • not beginner.... the more pressure you put on your opponent.s.....destroy position destroy your oponents and positional strength.

  • I never said it was useless. I've done that move before. I was just recommending the Granby School, their moves are more complicated, but they're really good.

And you won't usually get that cradle against a good wrestler, as they don't stand up with their head down to their knee

  • No offense but that's not a takedown... That's a breakdown whenever in referee position... Just saying guys.

  • disable commenats- waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy 2 negative

  • dam dude i wish our wrestlin room looked like that but then again it dosent matter to a real wrestler

  • tru

  • This stuff is basic. If you want something really good you should look at the videos shown by the Granby School of Wrestling

  • so because it's basic it's useless? or bad? this is actually exactly what i was looking for -- basic moves for beginners. so thank you jrice..

  • you can only lock hands when you're working a PINNING combonation,PERIOD!!! which he is doing, so "ACTOR145" SHUT THE FUCK UP, ur probably a kid, thats y u dont kno how to spell.

  • teach the branze cause its in my opinion a very effective and sadly unpopular move

  • actor, you're not a coach you can't even spell illegal correctly haha

  • his head shouldnt get trapped close to his knee because any wrestler who is worth a shit knows to keep his head up all the time. especially when doing that. your body should torque at a 45 degree angle with your arm up and your head stick straight up.

  • Yeah but alot of wrestlers do this. Even if its a simple mistake. I was losing at a tournament 11-2 and it was 30 seconds into the last period. I was on top, he tried a bad stand-up and his head got trapped close to his knee. So i got a cradle in and pinned him.

  • EAGLES SUCK!!!

  • thats wrong you cant lock hands if you do your opponenet will get a point

  • Um..... You can lock hands when you are going for a pin.... and thats basically what you are doing when you put your opponent in a cradle.

  • no you cant im a wrestling couch and you cant do that it is illgel to lock hands while on the mat

  • a wrestling couch?

    hahahah isnt it coach? der

  • in folkstyle the rule is you can only lock hands if they have only two points of thier body on the mat or your pinning and if you lock around the head you need to have an arm in the lock

  • I'm sorry but you can lock ONLY if you are going to a cradle/pin. If he stands up you have to let go or else your opponent gets a point.

  • you can lock your hands because there is a leg in between. u can also lock hands if there is an arm or a leg between.

  • you can lock your hands at anytime just as long as he isnt in bottom man position or on the floor close to all 4's at any point

  • i think wen u go to put ur arms and lock it with is kneww, i think the other guy who move out so u cant

  • Very nice, but how come you never show the techniques without the steps the first time, and then show the steps. that would be more helpful.
