The gongs will get really hot if they are left out in the sun. One good gong blast will put a crack in that big expensive hunk of metal. I was in Legends front ensemble and we either put the gong away or covered it with blankets when it got really hot and sunny

@thsma2009 I was in Pio front ensemble and if the wind is up the gongs will tip because they are heavier than the stand that might be the case

@fstdrumboy possibly. im in front ensemble as therack player for my school. and i live in so-cal and its always windy as can be durring practice. but i get what your saying. ive that the gong tip on me once and yeah, long story. lol

agreed... very tasty writing. nice textures, nice intersegmental dialogue between field and front elements. Of course the cleanliness of the line really brings out the composition.

Since DCI is a higher level than high school lines (no matter how awesome Dartmouth is) I find it unlikely that any corps would "steal" from a high school

besides if it's anything Dartmouth ripped it off of them..2 different seasons..WGI is after DCI. Not saying they did though

actually the 2008 WGI season comes BEFORE the 2008 DCI season..WGI is the off-season but it actually happens before DCI does..It's in the beginning of the year..you should probably do your research before you try to make anybody else look stupid..just a suggestion
