The whole concept with Bioshock being a city under the water with no rules was very appealing. Although it wouldn't really be possible, it was certainly not that far fetched. It's what got me to buy Bioshock 2.

Its a amazing piece of art. Horror in full day light. Still the bioshock feeling and the steampunk. I have no idea if that robotic thing with the human art has the big daddy role. Its refreshing that they made it a airborn city, but i can not and will not forget rapture.

Personally i think it is a good move to take Bioshock out of the water. It is often said 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' but it is also true that after a couple of games of the same principality of a city within water, it's god to add a twist to keep the franchise fresh and interesting. The thing that made Bioshock entertaining to me was not the idea of Rapture itself, it was the mysterious and dynamic characters themselves, that added with a good story line portraying allot of history.

It was WAY easier to kill a big daddy as one themselves. And also once you took care of all the little sisters the game got boring for me because you couldnt buy anymore plasmids and you lost the feeling of being what it means to be a big daddy. Protecting your little sister. Once that element was gone it wasnt as fun for me. But at least I can do the protecter trials right? But they couldve done a better job on the multiplayer.

@Volcanic9 I actually thought about that too! Since they started at the bottom of the oceon then went into the skies, the only thing left besides the boring ground is space. I know you might think its a joke or something but they should make something like that. And also bioshock 2 lost its special thing... like do you remember when taking on a big daddy as a human seemed impossible? And once you could it was really hard!!?

What I think Irrational games screwed up on is that you notice how there is a big daddy figurine at the beginning in the fishtank? I believe its a subject delta class big daddy and that wasnt created until.. hmm... I think 1932? Somewhere around that time. This game takes place before that. Please correct me if Im wrong but Im a die hard bioshock fan and I just picked this out after seeing this 5 times.

The reason they called it Bioshock Infitite instead of Bioshock 3 is because its supposed to go off the story and areas as in the first ones. You know the main characters more personally in Infinite, where in Bioshock 1&2 you really didn't know who they main character was or where he came from (unless you did a little outside research). Personally, I am very excited for this game. I hope the online multiplayer is going to be fun like it Bioshock 2.

I liked rapture better, because I was more for the dark underwater thing, although it was better in bioshock one than two because it covered more shit like a underwater garden, to a underwater dock like area (fisheries) where the new one kind of didn't explore that many interesting areas.

Have you never The Shining. Using a deceptively sunny and bright setting is a horror technique that makes things all the more creepy. It actually creates a more mysterious aura, like in the ten minute teaser demo. And hopefully the interiors will be dark and creepy in the classical sense.

This is over forty years before the first bioshock. And Andrew Ryan died in the first one anyway, so he's not going to be building anything else. This is like the exact opposite of Rapture, like a mirror-image opposite. Andrew Ryan would never condone this city, and takes no part in it.

I don't know... The art is amazing, but I think I'm going to miss the mysteriousness of never getting a good look at the characters faces. The fact that you can see all of the characters at full value takes away from it I think. I will also miss the grunge and dark creepiness of Rapture. Ah well, Rapture is really at the bottom of the sea now.

Yeah, Bioshock Infinite takes place around after the 1893 world exibition, when alot of exciting new technology was displayed. Bioshock 1 is in 1960 and Bioshock 2, 1968.
