Rafa will announce at 7.00pm his decision to defend his Wimby title. He lost to Wawrinka at Hurlingham this afternoon so I think that's the decision made.........no Rafa at the All England Tennis Club............... :(
I think Rafa will not be able to play in Wimbledon. Seeing how he moves there, it still seems to hurt a lot. Its like his knees are stiff. You simply can't 'heal' tendinitis with some agressive therapy. He needs to rest the knees for some longer time. Wimbledon will not be the same without him:( but its not the end of the world, he will be back!
I think the decision has been made already. My sad prediction is that Rafa will withdraw from Wimby so he has some fighting chance of competing in the American hardcourt season.
I can't contemplate Wimby without Nadal, it's a mighty depressing prospect, but he must be fit and ready to compete. That's the priority.
i think he wasn't soo unhappy after the match.. do u see that? maybe this is all a little policy.. lets hope it is .. wimbledon without nadal is catastrophal
Read a comment from Fed that he did not believe that Rafa's knee was that bad. Stated that he did not have his knee taped during the French, and basically stated did not believe it. Fed is looking for any way to support his win at the French, even though had Rafa been at his best, he would have lost. Really growing to totally dislike Fed. Rafa does not say things like that. In fact, he said if this were the end, he would just be thankful for the opportunities he has had.
I read it too. He said he "knew" Rafa so much that he knew when he was playing with pain, and he stated that he hadn't seen Rafa having pain in the Roland Garros. He also said that, since Rafa didn't have his knees tapped, he didn't believe it was that bad.
He shouldn't say things like that. Rafa would never say something like that. It was really disrespectful. But oh well... Federer has shown me that he can only be gracious and a gentleman when he's winning. He has disappointed me so much!

I really wish Rafa would play at Wimbledon, he is my favorite player by far.
But if he is not 100% fit then I would rather see him miss the tournament than risk futher injury.
He's still young, he will still have many more chances.

Wow, look at how gingerly Nadal moved for that last backhand attempt in the match. He's looks to be at 30%, physically.
