I worked as a sand blaster for years and I never did a car. Reason being is the heat buildup in sheet steel was so bad the panels would warp. I saw this happen to fairly thick panels so I could imagine what would happpen to a car body. I've seen the new CO2 version of a blaster, looks like it works fine on sheet steel. I worked 6 hrs blasting and 2 priming a day, just the way it worked out. That truck body being mounted would make that difficult.

@Rudderify You want to use your air blower and get all the sand off, then put 2 coats of epoxy primer on, that will seal it up till you get ready to work on it... Pete

Pete. I do know what is involved in sand blasting. I guess its an industry itself. Have you ever considered getting a sand blasting set up yourself? Even for smaller parts that dont involve the type of extraction required for a full sized vehicle.
