  • whats the pedal he uses at 0:13 ?

  • Me too Timothy

  • I want to have sex with this performance. Fuck.

  • I've met John Mayer, he was a jerk but goddamn does he play good music and we all know DMB is king...excellent job by both of them, the little jam around 1:40 is what I dream about.

  • @DaveC2K9 he is far from King

  • i wish i was there! dmb+ john mayer= greatest concert ever maybe throw in jack johnson and jason mraz too:p

  • If anyone loves John Mayer ..i have the best John Mayer channel on youtube.

I have the full version of this song on my channel.. no video but amazing sound quality.

  • who the fuck disliked this?

  • John Hendrix?

  • Stevie Ray Mayer?

  • This renders me ecstatic. Oh GOD!

  • awesome. so f...in good

  • the way he blends you would of thought he was another band member!

  • John Mayer : D

  • Not bad Mayer concidering I cant stand you!!!!!!!!!!

  • @pennylane719 Why? He's the best guitarist ever.Dont be a dumbass and judge him without knowing him. Check out my channel i have a lot of amazing solos from john

  • carter is happy to play with a guitarist who can actually rock out not to take anything away from dave but he certainly cant wail like mayer

  • Wow. That build up was awesome!!

  • WOW I CAN'T EVEN .......................

  • carter never ceases to amaze me

  • carter beauford + JM = WOW!!!!!

  • gives me goosebumps everytym., carter handled it very well,..i just luv 2 be a drummer, DMB my top inspiration. Godbless

  • sorry name song???please

  • sorrry its #41!!ehehehe

  • goosebumps. lmao. that was sickk

  • i really want to be here

  • Damn John really took off there...Love DMB !!!

  • I think I just shit.

  • This solo along with Warren Hayne's jam (Jimi Thing from the Central Park show) are my favorite.

  • Dave's looking hella fine! haha

  • Incredible! DMB and John Mayer should record a complete collaboration album together, it would be insane!

  • the way Carter accompanies him makes the solo even that much more ridiculous

  • I was there... that shit was insane! untill i got my ganja jacked by security, fuckin pigs

btw mayers just scatting the melody of the song southernlovin85

  • hah that blows, i saw some security lightin up with some fans at a concert i went to last summer

  • thanks

  • Anybody know what Mayer is singing?

  • Carter is such a fuckin' badass.

  • I never cared for Meyer's music in the past...but he was a beast on this jam and now I want to check out more of his live music.

  • @teacherman60The majority of his radio stuff sucks but he is ridiculous live. You should also check out the John Mayer Trio which is a bit different from his solo stuff.

  • At the 150 mark dave backs away from the mic. This is his show. An amazing moment. He lets John finish. Only David J Matthews would do that. He changed music. This band changed everything. How it sounds, played, and distributed. Not many left. Thank you DMB for my 18 yrs of listening. The sweet sounds of Le roi are missed. They will forever be. carter is a beast. and absolute beast.

  • @02135brighton went to an eric clapton show a few years back and he definitely shares the stage with fellow bandmates as well. i think its a show of true musicianship and maturity/love for the music and thats where DMB, and other music greats come in. great video

  • to the boston irish,

i was there too. nobody touches DMB. nobody come close. #41 is a piece of art. and that night along with your brian, mine exploded. everywhere. i never thought a masterpiece could be improved upon and for 5 min that night it was. that whole band was ready that night for something special and that something special came in the form of a guy from fairfield CT. To be able to watch this was honestly like god giving me a high five. 5 min that should be in the R and R hof

  • one of the best live versions by dmb is when he brought warren hayes onstage to do what would you say at piedmont park. hayes' solo is absolutely ridiculous

  • Orgasm!!! lol, OMG two of my fav guitar players.,,,two great musicians....love them!!!

  • what song is this

  • lol read the title chen

  • 2 most talented people in the music industry, and will continue to stay at the top. Ive been to around 25 dmb shows. And I was lucky enough to be in the 10th row at this show and when Dave brought John on stage my head exploded. Mayer owned this song. One of the greatest dmb songs ever written/played live and never thought it could get better. but it did. warren haynes is amazing, but this was the most amazing 3 min of music ive ever heard. john mayer took this to another level.

  • if you like this version listen to some of the #41's they do with warren haynes, warren is one of my faves

  • @TheBostonirish If youre into jam bands then you should upgrade from dmb to phish or even better GD

  • @410JackStraw idk bout all that, phish seems to be a great jam band as well...but its really two totally different styles of music if you ask me..

  • @410JackStraw hahahahaha youre retarded. dmb has the best drummer in the world the best rock violinist the best sax player of all time(Jeff Coffin) and obviously dave an amazing singer/songwriter and performer Tim Reynolds sucks ass but thats about it

  • @25Ragz How does my opinion make me "retarted" ? Comments like yours are just completely unnecessary. Sure, I am not a DMB fan, but I don't sit around here and trash people for being passionate about their music...just trying to help expand musical horizons. If you like DMB you'd prob like Phish anyways. That's my point. Your comment just makes you look incredibly ignorant and closed-minded

  • @410JackStraw You are retarded.

  • @25Ragz Thanks bud

  • It rocks....but come on you only need to go to the related videos and see that the Warren Haynes jam is better...

  • fucking jam.

  • send me a pm if you want the whole song from now on

  • you have this live version of the whole song?

  • he owned that song!! bad ass!!!

  • I Love This.

could i please get a link to the full song?

  • cant anyone transcribe the solo and write it as tab?

it would be so damn cool

  • This Rocks So Much!

  • Damn.

  • I put a slightly better quality video up of this same clip if you click my name. It still looks way better on my computer but I don't know how to make it look as good on YouTube.

  • This Fucking Rocks!!!!

  • I'd like to have the link as well!

  • Yeah, I'd love to have this on my mp3 player.

  • link plz!

  • l would love a link

  • carter is a BEAST on those drums...that man is outta control

  • This is the best Mayer solo possibly, if not the best he's ever done with DMB.

  • shit yeah! i dont think theres ever been a band that kept better time on such complex rhythm.

  • Amen!!

  • bad ass

  • Great perfomance there with a brilliant solo from Mayer. I managed to find the whole song in mp3 and I've listened it about 200 times during the past few months

  • It's soooo cool. If you have the time could you send me the link to the mp3 if you still have it? Cheers.

  • Just sent you a link, hopefully it works fine

  • Please I want the link too!!!!

    :D

  • Would you mind sending me the link also?

  • could you please send it to me aswell, thank you very much.

  • That is money ! wow

  • I was there way up at the top of the bowl and out of 32 DMB shows that was my favorite moment!

    -Joe

  • look at that smile on beauford's face.

  • I love how around 1:14 Carter reads John perfectly for the next little swell and they kill that repeater together

  • Yes, Mayer is the man

  • what can i say.. he´s got it..

  • this is when jm is at his best. he just kind of loses it and goes off. amazing music right there. lets pray for another concert with all these guys together again

  • that's what i really dig about dave matthews band. just a bunch of great musicians sharing the stage, with no feeling of being upstaged or outdone by the other. Just everyone having a great fucking time.

  • Mayer killed it. that feel is crazy. i love it when a musician can express themselves through their instrument. great teamwork and over all energy. hands down one of the best guitar solos made for this song.,i love it.

  • Oh my God, this is amazing.

  • mayer totally takes this song over and makes it his own. not a huge fan of most of his songs, although his new songs are pretty good, but his guitar playing is out of this world

  • i think it's hilarious that many of mayer's fans (and non fans for that matter) don't realize that he's a really unreal guitar player and musician.

his srv and hendrix tones and techniques are there with flavor of his own, and contemporary pop.

  • Lazychump, people have been wising up in the last few years about Mayer, although ever since I began getting into him with his Room for Squares debut and the live companion to that era "Any Given Thursday" I knew he was the real deal. His maturing with the the elder bluesmen like Clapton and Buddy Guy as well as his trio has been a great sight to see, and well, really to hear!

  • dave matthews tim reynolds john mayer and robert randolph all4 together doing a solo each on this would be the badassest of the badass.

  • Don't forget Warren Haynes

  • and tom morello

  • and Jimi back from the dead........ a man can dream?

  • my fav artists and one of my fav songs thx

  • Just amazing, how much emotion! Awesomness!

  • thank you for posting this. Pure awesomeness!

  • that was the best i've seen john. if i was there live, i'd have had a baby right then and there.

  • imagine how good he must feel. up there with one of his idols jammin.

  • please let this be released on a live trax

  • my 2 favorites. god damn thanks
