Yeah, I agree kikikeywest1. The landing LOOKED really smooth, and it was smooth, but it really wasn't "that great" of a landing. He flared way too high, and had a slight bounce. Looked to me like he came in from a little too high and had to descend quickly to make the landing.
Oh, I saw another comment that said it was "a shitty landing"...oh so true knowledgeable breath! Could you see that plane, just before touchdown, in a pretty stiff cross wind? Maybe the pilot was showing off for us, or just lucky as hell when he kept the power in and continued pulling back on the yoke (or joy stick if it has one). Just an observation Y'all

Well, let me say this about that (landing). Even though it looks soooo smooth, etc., I think it is a bit unusual. Appears that the angle of attack at touch down is WAY TO MUCH. In addition, his roundout-to-flare seemed way high, so he had to "hang" the airplane in the air with the elevator. Anyone agree??
A real grease job. Anyone that has ever flown anything for real knows how difficult this is. Especially in something really heavy where the inertial load of the descent is not that easy to control.
Anyone that thinks they can do better is welcome to post their own video. I won't be holding my breath waiting for that. ROFLMAO
why would they put bigginers on any airliner? Every pilot must have loads of hours to get a job in the first place and the type rating is by no means easy!
BS he maintained a contant descent even though it was very lower (i would guess less that 10 ft/min at the very end) which would have been an extremely smooth landing and considering that he had no shortage of runway if would not call it an overflare. This is an a330, they dont put beginners in that plane
Well my best mate is a pilot for US airways and he said that was a superb landing! you simmers think that theres always something wrong tih the landings-even though this landing was brought down like a bird! Brilliant landing and super video
are any of you guys actually real pilots? the pilot of this plane is a trained professional, seems odd that all you simmers think you could do a betetr job?!
just one question, wasnt the flare angle too high? and the approach was kind of flimsy or is it because the a330 is a small plane?
