I catch centipedes and keep them for pets with my daughter all the time. But they seem so much different than this one... Super fast and aggressive. I've been bit and it was one of the most painful things I've ever felt- the thing bit through my fingernail and my whole arm swelled up. I wonder what kind we have here? there not as big as the one in this video. I find them floating in my pool all the time, but never one that big.

Personally, I find centipedes disgusting. I've lived in the American southwest for a bit and I've always been unpleasantly surprised by these revolting creatures as I've been working on various things and spotted them crawling on my papers !!!!! But, I've developed a sort of curious fascination for them after I've killed many several dozens. Still gross. Imagine one crawling on you.

Hemostats arent a good way to grab centipedes. Im amazed by the constant bad advice expert village gives. The brush is a good idea to get the substrate off, but the rest is bullshit. Novicevillage. :D
