As far as I remember this is the way this song goes, I've seen other live versions (see the Nocturne concert) and of course the original song. It's a slow song lasts 6:06 in the album Juju (I have it) ;)
@nickknox75 he reminds me of someone from the rocky horror show ;) I love the banshees but for me they have lost it as the songs have lost their impact in lower keys. I know Siouxsie has been plagued with vocal chord problems and it's still nice to see her do her thing but I feel the Banshees lost it when they dumped John McGeoch
@TalkToTheBody Yeah. I have the 7 Year Itch dvd. Her voice has sadly lost it's oomph. I really like ALL the guitar players the Banshees had but McGeoch was the best. Klein does look like Riff Raff from Rocky Horror...notice that Budgie and Severin didn't bleach their hair blonde for this particular tour?!?!
@nickknox75 I don't think I have this DVD yet, I have so many I will have to go and recheck. I wish I had a penny for every time I have bought a cd when I already have it! Yeah McGeoch is a legend but McKay was also superb. I loved Magazine when John was in it and still love going to see them play as Noko is a great guitarist too.
@TalkToTheBody You've seen Magazine live? If so that is pretty cool. I like Noko too. I have not bought the new album yet but what I heard sounds pretty cool. I like mcGeoch in PiL too. I love all Magazine's stuff though oddly I like Magic, Murder and the Weather the best. Odd since McGeoch isn't on it.
@nickknox75 Now that is strange as you chose the Magazine album that I wish they never released, there are one or two good tracks on it but my favourite is Secondhand Daylight, but I just love the first three albums. Yes I have seen Magazine four times, once back in early 1979 (support band was Simple Minds!) and McGeoch was on guitar back then and I have also seen them 3 times since they reformed with Noko. It's a great new album!
@nickknox75 Yes I saw them three times, one of which Robert Smith was on guitar but I cannot remember what tour it was as it was so long ago, it was at Manchester Apollo though. I know I saw them in Manchester and John McGeoch was on guitar and again on the A Kiss In The Dreamhouse tour.
@TalkToTheBody Awesome! Not to take anything from seeing the great mcGeoch...but Robert Smith when he played for the Banshees as well.... Bragging rights!
@nickknox75 ha, it's nice to know it is "bragging rights" although back then it was pretty much taken for granted; it always is. I have always said savour the support bands as you never know! I saw the Buzzcocks also at Manchester Apollo on a Sat and Sun night I guess late 79? I have seen them quite a lot but I think it was Love Bites tour, anyway Joy Division was their support band on both nights...now that was a good night.
