LoL..mic broken..echoing..man cook fans will do anything to sugarcoat Cook. Admit it, the night proved that Cook should just stick with his instruments and not solely his voice.

Archie sang this in an entirely different setting complete with echoing and muffling. H e was totally flat at 1:00 or so and added a jazz sound to cover it up. Also, there is no real close up of him. Cook was flat at the beginning and they were right up on his face. There was no echo either. Not a very good comparison. Archie didn't have Jack Nicholson looking down his throat when he sang either.

it looks like everybody just run all over tube to watch various national anthem right after david cook sang it...

at first i thought it's just me... =)

i even bother to watch arcue's for the first time ever just because when i search national anthem american idol, there are arcue's there.. never realize before arcue has sung that song..

arcue did fine.. i respect everybody who sang it whoever he/she is, including arcue...

Are you kidding me. Even Cook Himself looked disappointed - straight long face with no emotions. Notice how on Cook's video, nobody cheered him on after his performance. It was silent and only a hand full of poeple clapped.. go back and see. Looked like some of the players in Cooks Video were putting their heads down as though they wanted to keep from laughing. Archie Blew Cook out of the water. Another Knock out!

David is a star. No doubt about it. David Cook can't sing the national anthem. So sorry for him. Idol definitely did not do him a favor by having him sing the national anthem. Ugh! It was just really BAD.
