The only thing I worry about is that the kids get enough attention from their parents. Some people who probably practice tough love would mock me for that sentiment, but eighteen kids? Someone is bound to end up getting forgotten about or ignored.

Otherwise, as long as they're trying to do well by their kids, and work hard to raise and feed and clothe them, I don't see a huge problem with it.

All that said, yes, eighteen children seems excessive.
