It's better off just reading the scanlations of the manga or watching the anime in the Japanese version, because this is the one of the times I am pissed at Funimation for butchering the anime with its dub in more ways than one.

well from what i know season 6 would be released if season 1-5 sold well and as far as i can tell season 6 hasnt been in planning since there was no trailer for it on the season 5 dvd and no preview for the next episode at the end of disc 4 , but i hope they do release it since it has the introducution of hibari in that season
@davech1987 I'd like to know how its edited before I spend money on those episodes. Too many anime come to the U.S. having been "edited for an American audience", which translates into CRAP. I usually like fans subs because there is no such hacking up of the original, at least not as much as comes with the approved for Americans versions.
So, can anyone say what the editing is like on these "offical" DVDs?
@Jayjen35 If by editing, you mean the 'Change japanese words into english', such as they did for the first time Jimmy came up with his new persona, Conan Edogawa, the books behind Jimmy were originally in Japanese, but were edited to enlgish, then Season 5 lacks on screen english translation, I believe. But the voice acting is astounding, I think.
No, the voice acting is not astounding. The voices don't match up at all. Like Haibara's voice. It's gotta sound higher-pitched. Sounds way to old for a 7 year old. Same concept with Ran. It's times like this when I wish the dubbers in Los Angeles were used instead of the dubbers in Texas.

I hope season 6 comes out along with the rest of the series / movies.I guess we'll find out when we buy season 5 if they have that "comming soon to dvd" paper (or whatever they call it) in the dvd case.
