Howard, how about pounding a baseball bat in your hand while you talk about needing to be tougher on your opponants. Ya Thug! I prefer the circular firing squad idea you proposed earlier. Can we vote on that?
Bullshit! Scott Brown is synonymous with the end of the Healthcare Bill, with more pollution, less alternative energy (Republicans are known for being oil industrialists profiting big money from oil companies) and also the end of the last little bit of hope that Amerika had of prosperity.
Correction douche bag! Barack Hussein Osama Obama's progressive socialism plan would be the death of American prosperity. I know you liberal dick suckers hate history, but before running thy dick sucking mouth, try educating yourself on some history, on communism & capitalism, on current events (muslims hate us and we are at war), check out how wonderful the lives of Russians, Chinese, Cubans, N. Koreans are. And don't stop there ye' liberal dick sucker, hell you might find this educating stuff
quite rewarding and before long you might even end up loving this country. You might even give up on liberal dick sucking and actually consider yourself a patriot. First things first, stop saying Obambi is doing a great job, cause he ain't. Pick up a book, I suggest anything on President Reagan, he is just as good of a place as any to start learning about America and the difference between capitalsm & communism. Now this is important and you gotta stick with it, it might seem a little boring at
first and there will be words & references you don't understand like constitution, free market, democratic republic, and other mind boggling things that you will have to look up or find a conservative mentor and have him explain complex things to you like why America goes to war and why its so important we win, why small government and booming business is a good thing, and why you shouldn't use drugs. I look forward to your reply and remember Carrot Sucker, always eat your veggies.
@SteveHoward09 First of all, nobody has been able to proof that it was a moslim who attacked the twin towers, however there is a lot of proof though about George W. Bush and his administration plotting the terror attacks so they can a reason to invade Irag and Afghanistan to steal their oil. Also I don't think it's responsible to assume to know what anyone else understands or doesn't. I think your answer was very immature which is why this will be my last reply. Thanks!
You just said there is no proof that a muslim attacked The United States? You silly son of a bitch, I thought I was talking to an adult. You are fucking retarded if you believe the shit you just said. The only cure for your stupidity is boot stomp therapy.
When I was working in Iraq, I worked with 6 Canadians. I asked the about thier "universal Health Care". To a man they hated it. You don't have a "family" doctor, you do not get the treatements you need, and the killer is waiting lists. It was explained like this. If you are 35 and need critical surgery, you will get it quickly. So you can pay in longer. If you are 65 and need the same surgery ? 12-18 months. You are only going to pay another 10 years, so why put in a lot of effort ?
What a retard !!! He doesn't have a damn clue what the people want. We don't WANT the direction these morons are taking the country. We want the cuntry BACK. Fucktard.
"the president was elected to lead, and the way we're going to get through this is he's going to lead, we're not going to deal with the special interests or the republicans anymore, who have become their own special interest, we're going to get this stuff done'"
Here's a genious idea. We conservatives if we want our kids to actually get an education we have to send our kids to private schools. If we don't then they will be sent to liberal public schools where they will replace learning with sex ed and how to be a liberal brainwashed slave to big brother. In that respect, liberals should collect donations and pay for their own damn schools and government healthcare if they want it so badly. Problem is their all on welfare or in college and want us to.
I had a professor who always found a way to promote Obamacare in class then not a few minutes later she would go on to talk about her work in the healthcare field of a 3rd world country. She discussed how most of the citizens hated their national public healthcare system and how they longed for private healthcare. lol Even people in the 3rd world are smart enough to know how lousy public healthcare is. However, my professor was too dumb to realize how contradicting she was.
yeah of course healthcare in a 3rd world country will suck, you aren't paying attention. Lets happily pay 20$ for a medication that costts .04 cents to make, and you wonder why the companies tittilate your mind with health care is going to ruin us garbage etc.
I see that you changed the picture that was on your page. However, last time I checked I'm sure I saw a picture of yourself. 13 yr old kids should stay away from political youtube vids as they have little knowledge and experience in life. You most likely have never worked a single day in your life so you would not know what it takes to make money and have it taken away. Aren't there some pokemon vids on here. You know, vids that would be more up your alley. lol
Oh shit. I feel bad for your wife. Married a fuckin Oompaloompa lol. How far along is your education? I could care less what you say. Im willing to bet anything you dont even have a GED. Dont even think of lying either. Married at 23? Cant be that smart. Guaranteed you guys don't last lol.
Okay I attend a CC lol w/e you say. But I'm willing to wager on how long your relationship with that heffer at home lasts. I give you guys three years at best. Remember me when that time comes when she tells you to hit the road or you walk in on her gettin boinked by a co-worker; if the cumdump even works.
I may opinion may sound stupid but, if any of these politicians had any common sense, don't they realize that many people in the U.S right now can't afford any health insurance? What would this bill do for those who are currently not convered?
They cant pass this bill now because nobody can afford it. But If they wait till the economy comes back, they still cant pass it because everyone already has insurance. Either way they're fighting a losing battle.
Nobody wants 3rd world country type healthcare. Liberals are so fucking stupid. Drive small cars, use dim light bulbs, pay more and more taxes, cut funding to the military, kill unborn babies, legalize drugs, da da da da da.
AGREED ! We really have to ask ourselves : How did the true Americans ever allow this level of complete idiocy reach the level it has ? Now is not the time to rest on laurels, still ALOT of work to be done to get this vermin & their agenda out of mainstream ,or at least unpopular.
the new world order has hijacked our republic..its time to stand up and defend freedom and liberty..stop being sheeple, and get involved..there is more to life then american idol..check out my page to get informed
It is so interesting how politicians, all positions, spin information in a way that always sounds positive in their favor. This is a perfect example of that. The Dems lost yet this talking head comes up with some bogus message about what it means. It seems to be a mantra that Politicians use. Always see the positive, even in a loss or mistake. Hmmm sounds similar to what criminals do when caught, No matter what, deny, deny, deny!
I think we need to compromise on at least 2 premises - we don't want to give freebies to slackers, especially who don't try to prevent health problems- We should monitor insurance companies who abuse the system and make sure that everyone can access some sort of health care- whether we work together with insurances or create affordable insurance. Private insurance is always needed but so is the access by those who cant. Private and Partial Government insurance? Idk.
I am so sick of things always being black and white. I can agree a bit from each party but not the whole, I think they both can be too extreme. Also, who says that some socialist or capitalist aspects are bad? There's too many things tide to single parties- I hate that :( I see both sides on issues and I think some things can lean to one side of the spectrum more than the other, but certently fall in the grayish scale. Just like Democracy (votes) are good for most things but not for everything.
Howard Dean is a fucking idiot. He believes his own propaganda and speech writers. But that's good for Republicans. You just keep getting tougher, Dean. The tougher you get and the more you democrats push your shit downs the countries throat, you'll all be out of power in 2012. Keep pushing Howie. Yeeaaaahhhhrrrrg!!!!!!
The bill is too extreme and vague, but we need to work on this issue. Other countries have resolved this, we should study them. Right now, I work 2 jobs but can't afford inssurance- both jobs cut my hours so I don't meet any benefits and I don't make enough for private insurance. Idon't want a freebie, I just need something I can afford- even if it's a hotdog cart doctor! ...not really :P
I don't have health insurance. I think the health care system could use reform, but what I never understood why this all had to be forced fed to us. I think the correct way to have handled it was to take baby steps over time and slowly work in new changes. You cannot have an overhaul as extreme as what was planned and expect people to accept it. The administration and party tried doing that, and look what happened.
health insurance is screwed up is because LIBERALS once again started to screw with and take control of something they had NO business touching to begin with.
These candy ass moderates wanting to show "bipartisanship" agreed with a lie then proceeded to screw us. Had they told these morons to shut the fuck up and leave the private sector alobne, we wouldn't be here.
And now history repeats. Libs bitch. Moderates twitch. Bad goes to worse.
How is it that all the people that resort to sounding like uneducated fools that can't devise more passionate speech than the basest of four-letter (used as adjectives, nouns, adverbs, etc) words are the ones who support this bill?
Raider120164, you're not doing yourself any favors by presenting your point in such a childish, uneducated manner. No one will take you seriously. Yours is a sad reality if you can only express yourself through such means.
Everything's OK. You can have hope and change. There's a big dose of Kool-aid being delivered by Obama in next week's state-of-union address. His teleprompter is locked & loaded. Obama solves the country's problem by speeches, talking, summits, talking, listening, and talking. Just let him redefine the message he wants everyone to believe in, and all will be all good again.
Sure Howard, blah, blah. You are a part of the problem, a big part. Just be quiet and consider what the real reason is for the loss in Massachusetts. Good luck...
American's DO want reform, they do want lower costs, but they DON'T want Obamacare.
The republicans may be milking people's dissatisfaction with the socialized healthcare plan, but they haven't offered any real plans to help reduce healthcare costs.
Why does malpractice insurance cost over $100K for a practitioner a year? Why are we finding that a $20 Wii fit balance board is about as accurate at testing balance as the $20K biomed board? Whats up with "buffet" healthcare plans?
were bitching about health care. Nothing different from today. Keeping with the same playbook, they also passed off the same lie that Republcans had no plan or alternative. Nixon and the rest of the so-called "moderates" caved in to this notion, and thus was born the worthless system known as HMOs that we have today.
HMOs were intended to take health care "in a new direction". They were designed by the government to do away with individual health insurance plans and to make affordable health insurance available to everyone. At that time employers were purchasing individual health insurance plans for their employees. Normally as a fringe benefit.
The Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) Act was approved by President Nixon in 1973. The managed health care plans were subsidized by the government and the new HMO-type systems began to grow, typically organized by businesses and community groups eager to make health care available to their workers and members at costs they could better afford.
Feeling the power of the government behind them and the frantic desire of employers to enroll their employees in these new HMO Plans, insurance companies began to apply pressure to doctors to join an HMO. Doctors were told that if they didn't join, the insurance company would find doctors who would join and they would effectively take all their patients away. Thus, doctors ended up joining an HMO so they would not lose their patients and subsequently their entire practice.
If you have a question about healthcare, democrats don't want to hear it, but hey they are very bipartisan and want to help everyone. Little old women are asking a question and they get insulted, attacked, called racists and every name in the book, and then we are told from these same liberals we have to really treat the terrorists with respect and be so nice to them and give them our rights. Then you all wonder why people ignore you and don't listen to anything you say. Too much lsd taking.
I don't understand this. He said something about how they like their healthcare plan? Well... 51% of Martha Coakley voters were against the healthcare plan in Washington. 78% were against it that voted for Brown. So, they're not one and the same, but aren't they similar?
What I don't understand is how the liberals still want healthcare after this debacle in MASSACHUSETTS.
Dean, we know what the message was as do you whether or not you admit it. The message was "Stop trying to force stuff down our throat that we don't want." The historic vote was largely due to a backlash against the unpopular healthcare reform bills in Congress and even against Obama as well since he is championing them.
"We gotta be tougher" is a recipe for political suicide, Dean.
democrates have got to be the dumbest people on the planet. why are you so upset , cause people can seee through your bullshit? give it up. you couldnt even make it past a year without everybody being sick of your dumb shit. YOU ARE LOSERS. just a fact, get use to it.
I haven't voted in a long time because I really didn't think it made a difference, but if the Health Care Reform bill passes, I'm voting AGAINST anyone (Democrat or Republican) who votes FOR it.
What're the solutions from the republicans towards health care reform?
Fuck it? Why? Because they can afford it? Because they're kids have never not had health insurance and don't know what it's like to not have?
No, I say fuck the republicans.
I say every working class family, every kid in poverty, and every man/woman fed up with these ass holes make themselves known like the republicans did in Mass.
Two can play this game repubs, I think you'll find that out soon enough.
The Republican response was allowing companies to provide insurance across state lines. Also they wanted tax credits to cover the cost of insurance on an individual basis. As soon as you say tax cut to a Democrat they want to hear no more. The free market works. Over regulating the free market causes meltdowns and financial issues like we saw with Barney Frank telling Fannie and Freddie to lend to unqualified borrowers.
All I ask is that republicans start giving a damn about someone other themselves and the millionaire elitists. When the hell did America become a corporation, last time I checked, it was all about the people.
There are kids out there with NOTHING, and the republicans couldn't care less. Don't try to deny it.
Why do people think conservatives don't care about people? We care more about people than anybody. Obviously if you would think about the healthcare bill, if it was so great then why do the democrats have to bribe everyone to vote for it? Democrats say they want healthcare, but they want to pass a bill that the American people don't like. All people are asking is that everyone can have a say in how they would like healthcare and we shouldn't be forced into something we don't agree on. Bipartisan
Democrats keep their thumb on the poor so they have a voting base. Increasing food stamps and unemployment benefits instead of cutting taxes to employers so they will hire these people is how they keep them under control. So long as they are fed, the poor will do nothing to better their situation. They need encouragement, not entitlements.
Coming from the person who's siding with the party that idolizes Reagan, the man that wanted to qualify ketchup as a vegetable for school funded lunches for the poor kids so that he could save a few bucks. Yeah, you guys care, just not about the people.
Also with all the Bush mistakes he was largely condemned for a 2 trillion dollar deficit. Its now 14 trillion!!!! This is after 1 year!! The economy always recovers and usually in spite of what the Fed does. This is needless spending
Shine...you watch, now that Brown won the bill will be broken down into the important components like "no preexisting cond" "tort reform" "fill the prescription donut hole" and republicans will vote yes on these things. The Dem leadership at the moment is the "elite" These are good things we just dont need 2 trillion in special favors attached to them. Fewer Friends re-runs for you and a liitte more news!!!!
Apparently the Republican Abe Lincoln didn't care about anybody when he issued the Emancipation Proclamation. Nor do the Republicans such as McCain who donate hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars of their own hard earned money to charity every year. Republicans only stop giving when the Dems raise taxes and force them to hold onto what is rightfully theirs. I am so sick of you bleeding heart libs that don't believe in personal responsibility. The UK is taking losers like you.
We can't donate millions of dollars like you republicans because we're not WEALTHY! The majority of us are working class/ union people. If we could, we would. You may have that luxury jlemon, but sadly we don't.
I can't do that either. I am working class. Not a union stiff that has everything in writing and am guaranteed benefits. I am a blue collar work who can be let go on a moments notice. But I have the opportunity to be more than this. That is what I strive for. To better myself and my situation. You can have my government cheese, I will keep my freedom.
Is it clear enough? Without the public option or single payer to control the Insurance Monoplies and realated healthcare corporation, it is not reform. Far from it. The healthcare Monopolies wrote the healthcare bill to fleece more Americans and the Democrates help to squeeze our pockets. Why. Because they secretly represent the healthcare monopolies and not the American citizen. How can Americans win when the Republicans are stooges too?
@tjfgermany58123 The only way for Americans to win is to stop the idea of government run anything. It was the government that created the monopolies held by the insurance, drug and banking industries and lobbies. Start to dismantle the massive regulations and allow an environment of real competition and you will see prices drop and better care. Continue down the path of "The Government Must Fix It and Regulate It" and things will just continue to get worse. As we have seen in the last 30 years.
You said that very clearly. Others have been saying it as well. So I have to wonder, why they can't grasp that. What part of their brains are not working?
Wow you really can't see the forest through the tree. Look it is simply this. Give us back the normal dems and not these far left wack jobs. hell we said the same thing 1 year ago to the right they didn't listen. Now you dems are doing the same kind of thing. we need a third party with a big sign out front " no wack jobs aloud ". where are the nornal Americans reps? is this who we are now? far right and far left? what about the 70% of us in the center, who stands up for us?
It is good to see that he and the Dems do not have a clue. It is reasuring that they will not correct things prior to the elections in November. After they lose the house they still will not get it.
"Republicans can't govern when they win"... oh I see, Howard. At least the Republicans aren't clamoring about with a bunch of unvetted, Marxist, Mao Se Teung loving, Communists. Just say "DA!", right Howard? Or should I say, Comrade Dean?(JACKASS)
Howard Dean... blah, blah, blah. Dems got their hats handed to them. Howard, you just wasted 2:06 minutes of my life, you useless mouthpiece. I guess you have to be a rocket scientist to know why Scott Brown trounced Martha Coakley. Uh, gee, could it be HEALTH CARE REFORM? (duh)
You mean LACK of health care reform. What's being pushed through won't please anybody, least of all the majority of Americans who wish to have actual health care reform.
@davidmkoch --- Yeah, that is the spin "flavor of the month"... the health bill supposedly omits single payer, thus the "progressives" didn't turn out to vote, because it is too LACKING. Sure, that is what happened. LMAO.
When a public option consistently gets more favorable public opinion than what democrats (including Obama) are currently fighting for, it's easy to see the some of the disconnects happening in this usually "Democratic" state. I'm not sure that health care is the reason for Brown's win either way since the majority of those polled who voted for Brown also favored a public option.
Obviously many Democrats are for The Public Option. The public option will distroy the health insurance industry. The real question is whether Democratic leaders
1. Don't know this because of a lack of understanding how insurance works,
2. Know full well that it will distroy the health insurance industry and don't care,
3. want the distruction of private health insurance to then propose a government fix of single payer.
The end result is a government takeover of healthcare in America.
The best result would be universal healthcare, yeah. Let me ask you a question... are you rich? as in making 200,000+ a year rich? If you're not, you're just another poor poor gullible sucker.
My guess is that you didn't pass the reading comprehension parts of your tests. Just where did I say that universal care would be the "BEST" result? My comment was meant to show that Democratic policies would distroy healthcare. The only question was whether they knew and understood it or whether they were doing it on purpose to push there supreme agenda of universal healthcare. Read it again, I'll accept your apology later.
dude your like a parrot - you repeat whatever someone states. The people who make you think are the people who are payed alot of money by insurance companies. American health care is a joke, and people are puppets that are easily swayed by messsages on TV and advertising.
"republicans can't govern when they win". My response to that, Mr. Dean, is that although it may be true in recent years, even more true - and important to note - is that Democrats govern BADLY when they win. With a filibuster-proof majority, you still govern like a bunch of buffoons!
Long live the Independent thinkers, the 912'ers, the "Tea Partiers", and most of all, THANK YOU MASSACHUSETTS!
thanks you howard dean! though i dont think Dean would be a good presidential ticket but barrack should do what he was voted in there to do and stop trying to hover in the center people anywhere near the right just want to bring him and his vision down, even if it would help them and be a benefit to the entire country, FUCK THEM
Dammit, if the Dems had picked Dean over Kerry in the '04 primary, Dean would still be President and we would probably have universal health care by now! Obama needs to start listening to the people who got him elected. Joe Lieberman is the last person Obama needs to be listening to right now.
the huge reason why obama is so neutral is because alot of those people in the middle the 'undecided' voted on him. these people didnt pick a side so he as the elected official doesnt know which side most of these votes came from so to him his best option is to sit in the middle but that never works for anyone... the blame can be placed alot on the voters as well. if you dont pick a side and the game changer votes come from non afilliated group the officials have a hard time making descisions
Well, if this doesn't wake Democrats up after they tried to explain away losses in VA and NJ then we do not deserve to lead. If tea baggers are the only people with guts and enthusiasm for the electoral process then we might as well hand over congress to them right now. It begins at the primary!!
If you want the dems to use the recon option to pass a health care bill that includes the public option then sign the petition on my page now. You will find it in the comment section at the top! Pass it on to everyone you know including facebook, myspace, Twitter and Youtube. There is still a chance but we must make them hear us loud and clear!
What positives? Like "broadcast it on CSPAN", bribing Nebrarska senators, blowing up national deficits and giving Fannie and Freddie endless bailout kinda positives? hoho, Obama is a fraud and voters have noticed from NJ, VA now to MASS.
@dlmaniac, I'm Canadian, so I'm neutral as far as American politics go, but do you really think a Republican administration would do things much differently? The only difference is they would not reform health care. They would keep the wars going/expand them, they would have come up with some sort of bailout/rescue plan(i.e. TARP under Bush), would keep the Patriot Act, continue the practice of non-transparency in government, etc. Other than Ron Paul, what politician would do things differently?
@Maxwedge12000, why do you and so many others find you have to label yourself as "liberal" or "conservative"? I don't think people can be so easily categorized. I.E., many people are conservative as far as wanting small government, prudent spending, punishing of violent crime, and yet are liberal when it comes to social policies(gay marriage, legalizing pot, ending the wars, etc.). I think the Conservative/Liberal thing is being used as a tool of divisiveness. Both parties are basically the same
The terms are still appropriate. One can be a fiscal conservative and a liberal socially. Or be a social conservative and be fiscally liberal. It said 20% are hardcore conservative and 20% hardcore liberal and the remaining 60% somewhere between. You complain about "divisiveness" yet complain that "both parties are basically the same". Which one is it.
@Maxwedge12000, special interests/lobbyists dictate what goes on in Washington(unfortunately), not the political parties. A change of which party is in charge won't alter foreign policy, Patriot Act, government transparency, catering to special interests, deficit spending, the wars, etc. Ron Paul is the only Republican I think would do things properly/differently, and he's generally not taken seriously within the GOP.
@Maxwedge12000, the only good thing is that over the past 2 or 3 years, Paul has made tremendous progress getting his message out. Hopefully he's got it in him for a run in 2012.
Problem is I do not think there are enough liberty loveing, patriotic americans to elect him. To many of our fellow countrymen have their hands out looking for free shit paid for by someone else.
If you want the dems to use the recon option to pass a health care bill that includes the public option then sign the petition on my page now. You will find it in the comment section at the top! Not only are we going to New Hampshire, Tom Harkin, we're going to South Carolina and Oklahoma and Arizona and North Dakota and New Mexico, and we're going to California and Texas and New York ... And we're going to South Dakota and Oregon and Washington and Michigan, and then we're going to Washington, D.C., to take back the White House! Yeeeeeeaaaah!!!
Howard Dean is clueless as usual and I love it. The message from this Scott Brown victory is simple that the USA is a right (not even center right, just plain right) nation and we do not want Marxism (Dumbocrats) or National Socialism (Republicans). Even in loony left Massachusetts, most people at heart are libertarians (not progressives or conservatives) who want less government. Marxist health care that puts people in jail for not buying insurance is wildly unpopular, no matter what Dean says
@MRobert21 If it you're saying is true, and there is a simple test: Sinply check how many times Brown mentioned Marxism, called Obama a Socialist/Marxist, and how many times he accused Coakley of being for Marxism.
What I am saying is totally true, which is why Brown won the election, but the lefties will neve admit it to themselves. Brown attacked the Marxist policies of Coakle and her master Barrack Hussein and showed why they are bad. Brown was smart to not get in to name calling unlike Coakley and Barrack Hussein who got dirty and paid for it (see Curt Schilling). Most Americans do not understand what Marxism or socialism is, so just calling lefties that does no good, so there is no reason to do it.
Howard Dean needs to prescribe himself an enema.

Most drugs cost pennies to make. Brandname
drugs are more expensive because
they dont have any competition to drive
the price down. Also the companies that
make brand-name drugs spend billions
on advertising and must make a profit to
succeed as a company and justify their
spending.

GreazyMuhfoh 2 years ago
yeah of course healthcare in a 3rd world country will suck, you aren't paying attention. Lets happily pay 20$ for a medication that costts .04 cents to make, and you wonder why the companies tittilate your mind with health care is going to ruin us garbage etc.

DumbDuck44 2 years ago
A little history lesson for ya.
Back in the early 70s, liberals (as always)
were bitching about health care. Nothing different from today. Keeping with the same playbook, they also passed off the same lie that Republcans had no plan or alternative. Nixon and the rest of the so-called "moderates" caved in to this notion, and thus was born the worthless system known as HMOs that we have today.
Raider120164 2 years ago
HMOs were intended to take health care "in a new direction". They were designed by the government to do away with individual health insurance plans and to make affordable health insurance available to everyone. At that time employers were purchasing individual health insurance plans for their employees. Normally as a fringe benefit.
Raider120164 2 years ago
The Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) Act was approved by President Nixon in 1973. The managed health care plans were subsidized by the government and the new HMO-type systems began to grow, typically organized by businesses and community groups eager to make health care available to their workers and members at costs they could better afford.
Raider120164 2 years ago
Feeling the power of the government behind them and the frantic desire of employers to enroll their employees in these new HMO Plans, insurance companies began to apply pressure to doctors to join an HMO. Doctors were told that if they didn't join, the insurance company would find doctors who would join and they would effectively take all their patients away. Thus, doctors ended up joining an HMO so they would not lose their patients and subsequently their entire practice.
Raider120164 2 years ago
If you have a question about healthcare, democrats don't want to hear it, but hey they are very bipartisan and want to help everyone. Little old women are asking a question and they get insulted, attacked, called racists and every name in the book, and then we are told from these same liberals we have to really treat the terrorists with respect and be so nice to them and give them our rights. Then you all wonder why people ignore you and don't listen to anything you say. Too much lsd taking.
MotionFrequency 2 years ago
I don't understand this. He said something about how they like their healthcare plan? Well... 51% of Martha Coakley voters were against the healthcare plan in Washington. 78% were against it that voted for Brown. So, they're not one and the same, but aren't they similar?
What I don't understand is how the liberals still want healthcare after this debacle in MASSACHUSETTS.
10sTinTh0uGhT 2 years ago
Dean, we know what the message was as do you whether or not you admit it. The message was "Stop trying to force stuff down our throat that we don't want." The historic vote was largely due to a backlash against the unpopular healthcare reform bills in Congress and even against Obama as well since he is championing them.
"We gotta be tougher" is a recipe for political suicide, Dean.

No, I say fuck the republicans.
I say every working class family, every kid in poverty, and every man/woman fed up with these ass holes make themselves known like the republicans did in Mass.
Two can play this game repubs, I think you'll find that out soon enough.
shanishines 2 years ago
The Republican response was allowing companies to provide insurance across state lines. Also they wanted tax credits to cover the cost of insurance on an individual basis. As soon as you say tax cut to a Democrat they want to hear no more. The free market works. Over regulating the free market causes meltdowns and financial issues like we saw with Barney Frank telling Fannie and Freddie to lend to unqualified borrowers.
jlemon79 2 years ago
All I ask is that republicans start giving a damn about someone other themselves and the millionaire elitists. When the hell did America become a corporation, last time I checked, it was all about the people.
There are kids out there with NOTHING, and the republicans couldn't care less. Don't try to deny it.
shanishines 2 years ago
Why do people think conservatives don't care about people? We care more about people than anybody. Obviously if you would think about the healthcare bill, if it was so great then why do the democrats have to bribe everyone to vote for it? Democrats say they want healthcare, but they want to pass a bill that the American people don't like. All people are asking is that everyone can have a say in how they would like healthcare and we shouldn't be forced into something we don't agree on. Bipartisan

Democrats keep their thumb on the poor so they have a voting base. So long as they are fed, the poor will do nothing to better their situation. They need encouragement, not entitlements.

The UK is taking losers like you.
jlemon79 2 years ago

shanishines 2 years ago

rlenny54 2 years ago
I can't do that either. I am working class. Not a union stiff that has everything in writing and am guaranteed benefits. I am a blue collar work who can be let go on a moments notice. But I have the opportunity to be more than this. That is what I strive for. To better myself and my situation. You can have my government cheese, I will keep my freedom.
jlemon79 2 years ago
Is it clear enough? Without the public option or single payer to control the Insurance Monoplies and realated healthcare corporation, it is not reform. Far from it. The healthcare Monopolies wrote the healthcare bill to fleece more Americans and the Democrates help to squeeze our pockets. Why. Because they secretly represent the healthcare monopolies and not the American citizen. How can Americans win when the Republicans are stooges too?
tjfgermany58123 2 years ago
@tjfgermany58123 The only way for Americans to win is to stop the idea of government run anything. It was the government that created the monopolies held by the insurance, drug and banking industries and lobbies. Start to dismantle the massive regulations and allow an environment of real competition and you will see prices drop and better care. Continue down the path of "The Government Must Fix It and Regulate It" and things will just continue to get worse. As we have seen in the last 30 years.

You mean LACK of health care reform. What's being pushed through won't please anybody, least of all the majority of Americans who wish to have actual health care reform.
davidmkoch 2 years ago 2
@davidmkoch --- Yeah, that is the spin "flavor of the month"... the health bill supposedly omits single payer, thus the "progressives" didn't turn out to vote, because it is too LACKING. Sure, that is what happened. LMAO.
sushinibbler 2 years ago
When a public option consistently gets more favorable public opinion than what democrats (including Obama) are currently fighting for, it's easy to see the some of the disconnects happening in this usually "Democratic" state. I'm not sure that health care is the reason for Brown's win either way since the majority of those polled who voted for Brown also favored a public option.
davidmkoch 2 years ago
Obviously many Democrats are for The Public Option. The public option will distroy the health insurance industry. The real question is whether Democratic leaders
1. Don't know this because of a lack of understanding how insurance works,
2. Know full well that it will distroy the health insurance industry and don't care,
3. want the distruction of private health insurance to then propose a government fix of single payer.
The end result is a government takeover of healthcare in America.
mickeysears 2 years ago

My guess is that you didn't pass the reading comprehension parts of your tests. Just where did I say that universal care would be the "BEST" result? LOL, backwards! I don't expect teabaggers to see clearly.
KataVideo 2 years ago
did you see how obama is polling in mass?
his positives are way above his negatives
this had more to do with coakley being a poor candidate
fuck you repukes....you are all evil shits that wish to see america turn into a 3rd world country
there is a revolution coming....so....
UP AGAINST THE WALL, YOU REDNECK MOTHERS
brabon1 2 years ago
What positives? Like "broadcast it on CSPAN", bribing Nebrarska senators, blowing up national deficits and giving Fannie and Freddie endless bailout kinda positives? hoho, Obama is a fraud and voters have noticed from NJ, VA now to MASS.
dlmaniac 2 years ago
Yet his approval rating is still much higher than Bush's was when he left office.
JBeatty17 2 years ago
Like that matters. Bush is no longer in office, obama is. At some point you people are going to just have to let go of George Bush.
Maxwedge12000 2 years ago
@dlmaniac, I'm Canadian, so I'm neutral as far as American politics go, but do you really think a Republican administration would do things much differently? The only difference is they would not reform health care. They would keep the wars going/expand them, they would have come up with some sort of bailout/rescue plan(i.e. TARP under Bush), would keep the Patriot Act, continue the practice of non-transparency in government, etc. Other than Ron Paul, what politician would do things differently?
TheSkinzilla 2 years ago
We have not found them yet.
Maxwedge12000 2 years ago
@TheSkinzilla.
You've got that right. Ron Paul kinda persons are the only hope left in DC.
dlmaniac 2 years ago
Dopebama is 48% positive/43% negative. You liberals aren't putting anyone "up against the wall" cause we have all the guns! :)
Maxwedge12000 2 years ago
@Maxwedge12000, why do you and so many others find you have to label yourself as "liberal" or "conservative"? I don't think people can be so easily categorized. I.E., many people are conservative as far as wanting small government, prudent spending, punishing of violent crime, and yet are liberal when it comes to social policies(gay marriage, legalizing pot, ending the wars, etc.). I think the Conservative/Liberal thing is being used as a tool of divisiveness. Both parties are basically the same
TheSkinzilla 2 years ago
The terms are still appropriate. One can be a fiscal conservative and a liberal socially. Or be a social conservative and be fiscally liberal. It said 20% are hardcore conservative and 20% hardcore liberal and the remaining 60% somewhere between. You complain about "divisiveness" yet complain that "both parties are basically the same". Which one is it.
Maxwedge12000 2 years ago
@Maxwedge12000, special interests/lobbyists dictate what goes on in Washington(unfortunately), not the political parties. A change of which party is in charge won't alter foreign policy, Patriot Act, government transparency, catering to special interests, deficit spending, the wars, etc. Ron Paul is the only Republican I think would do things properly/differently, and he's generally not taken seriously within the GOP.
TheSkinzilla 2 years ago
I cannot disagree with you. I would love Ron Paul in the Oval Office. I voted for him in the primaries.
Maxwedge12000 2 years ago
@Maxwedge12000, the only good thing is that over the past 2 or 3 years, Paul has made tremendous progress getting his message out. Hopefully he's got it in him for a run in 2012.
TheSkinzilla 2 years ago
Problem is I do not think there are enough liberty loveing, patriotic americans to elect him. To many of our fellow countrymen have their hands out looking for free shit paid for by someone else.

martha lost because she's a lousy candidate.

@KataVideo She also lost because of the Rahm strategy of being primarily interested in funding and not in getting things done.

Did Howard just say that Democrats need to be more like George W. Bush? I think he did at 0:37.
WOW, its only been a year and Dems are wanting to govern more like Bush.
So do you hate Bush or do you want to be more like him as Dean says?

Democrats - fucking it up.

MRobert21 2 years ago
@MRobert21 If it you're saying is true, and there is a simple test: Sinply check how many times Brown mentioned Marxism, called Obama a Socialist/Marxist, and how many times he accused Coakley of being for Marxism.
Zakdayak 2 years ago
What I am saying is totally true, which is why Brown won the election, but the lefties will neve admit it to themselves. Brown attacked the Marxist policies of Coakle and her master Barrack Hussein and showed why they are bad. Brown was smart to not get in to name calling unlike Coakley and Barrack Hussein who got dirty and paid for it (see Curt Schilling). Most Americans do not understand what Marxism or socialism is, so just calling lefties that does no good, so there is no reason to do it.
