wow.. if you're going to post a tutorial video, you should at least know the correct terminology for what you're trying to teach. These are not triplets at all.
Those are 3 sixteenth note beats with one rest in between each set. Please learn your music terminology before you try to tell us that these are "triplets".
Triplets are, for example, 3 notes in 1/4th, in 4/4 bar, so that makes 12 notes in one bar. The notes need to be equally spread across the beat and have all the same duration.
@SoundOfSorrowSOS You can still do them with that pattern... but it would feel odd...I agree with Doodle Dandy921 though. Not triplets. They're sixteenth notes if I heard correctly with a rest on the "a" before the quarter beat. More like gallop kicks.
Triplets are three hits per beat. Doesn't matter what pattern you decide to play that in. There are multiple patterns. If you have simply learned one pattern, maybe you should get some more lessons. All you do when you make a statement like you did is show how limited your knowledge of drums is. Careful. :)
Those aren't triplets.... he's playing 1e+ with a 16th rest after or possibly 1e+a but i can't quite hear if that last 16th is there or not. Definitely not triplets. Haha.
You are playing quarter notes on the snare, 8th notes on the ride, and 16th notes on the bass with the first note omitted. Not triplets. In a triplet you subdivide by three, not four.
i think u mean TriPLE bass pattern, meaning bass bass snare bass bass bass snare... etc all 8th notes... not too bad, but learn the correct words please.
@DoodleDandy921 People never cease to amaze me. You would think coming from a professional drummer, and a website based on tips they would at least kind of know what they are talking about. He's just playing 16ths.
@robertmickomasa no. groups of three dont fall over the beat or bar line, but triplets can. Groups of three are just straight, but triplets aren't they have three notes fitted into one beat, and they give the swaying effect...thats why theyre triplets...
triplets is with guitar

sorry, that wernt triplets... that was actually sound like regular double bass drumming...
DoomScytheBand 7 months ago
Snare, Right, Left, Right.
It's a shuffle pattern on the bass drums (16th, 16th, 8th). A triplet would be even continuous double bass with three bass strokes per snare stroke:
(SR) = Snare and right foot together, (SL) = Snare and left foot together
(SR) L R (SL) R L (SR) L R (SL) R L and so on.

@SoundOfSorrowSOS Triplets has nothing to do with the foot pattern. It's the note relation to the beat...

@masatomega I know there are different patterns eg. RLL RLL, RRR LLL, LRL RLR, LRR LRR. So no my knowledge is correct..
