Tracy System kenpo, I am in it too. I thought we used the original chinese characters for karate, in the mural you guys have it's japanese. (which is just an observation. I personaly have the japanese for karate tattooed on my right shoulder)
anyways great video and I look forward to learning this technique.
You need to have 600 techniques to know 10 real well.. Tracy's give you options at the end of the techniques for your own ideas and concepts.. No technique should be used as a set theory, it is just a guide to help you learn. I am not hear to disrespect American It is Kenpo and I am glad that anyone chooses Kenpo Tracy's , or American.... As for this Kenpo Jujitsu , anyone wanted to learn Kenpo combined with Jujitsu.. This guy seems to understand and is very good.. ( work on Judo throws )
Great! I was into jujitsu years before I got into kenpo. I, too, found how well they blend. We have had a great time experimenting with several jujitsu follow-ups, pins, and takedowns.
i'm so sick of people saying that kenpo is all choriography "please excuse the spelling if it's wrong" and not practical. the whole purpose of kenpo is to teach your body to strike fast and to strike as many vital targets as you can in a fluid motion. kenpo is awesome and has nothing to do with performing techniques. the techniques are just are just a way to teach you that. anyone talking crap about kenpo doesn't know a single thing about it.
i am a tracy system student and have been practicing it for at least 13 years and i am currently taking juijitsu. i am in the process of mixing the two styles and i really like the arm lock that you finished with. the two systems combined are incredible and there is so much you can add to the tracy system.
I can respect that. I agree that each art has it advantages and disadvantages, and individuals studying the arts view ideas from different perspectives. Take Care
The tracy's only know a fraction of what Ed Parker knew. This system is a spoon feeding system. It doesn't teach one to think for themselves. All the what if's are given to you. You do not need an a,b,c,d,e,f,g etc one should be able to think for themselves. 600 techniques is ridiculous. Ed Parker said he would rather have 10 techniques he could fight with rather than 100 that fought him.

Nice job on the lock - I'm going to have to give that a shot this week - that's a new one for the skill sets.
Thanks!

@kenpo1501 Your comments are 100% right. I teach Kenpo, and it is definitely not choreography. Thanks for standing up for the art. ...a Kenpo brother
