I would ditch the chrome bumper, put a roll pan in it i dont imagine you need the tow hook..either eh? Its a nice looking truck though..I have had a 89 before they are sick..now i have 3 of these trucks...a 94 2wd show truck with a 360 being built for it, a 95 4x4 318 and a 96 4x4 318 manuel...they are sooo fun to drive...painting the interior is very easy to the show truck is fully customized and it was simple. still very nice truck..nice to see its not a stick on hood scoop.
@frankenstein04 Actuall i do need the trailer hitch and bumber as I do some Hot Shot Hauling with it, and it is a "stick-on" scoop, I just took the time to cut out the hood to make it full functional. Coming soon I'm currently building a 426 Magnum to put in my truck
Nice truck, looks good with a new paint job. The only thing i have a problem with on your truck is that if your going to put a hood scoop on your hood, to make it look right and not so fake. you should have molded the scoop into the hood and made it look more as if that was a custom hood instead of just a hood scoop 3M'd to your hood. otherwise its a nice truck. I have an 06' Dakota ST V6. done a few things to mine. Good work man
@sunfire84 When I had truck painted it was discussed about fiberglassing in the scoop, but I opted not to as if it were damaged then replacement would be a big ordeal. shit luck be told 3 months after having paint done I huge chunk of ice come off a semii truck and went in the scoop opening cracking it in several spots. So looks like that was a good choice to not fiberglass it in
i have the v6 version. what muffler do you recommend. also want to stand out. need good flow and a aggressive sound. no glasspacks or flowmasters. love Your truck. you think the 52mm throttle body would be to much for the v6?
@the934x4 It had flow masters at one point in time, the dynomax flow better, and I think they sound better with a sound that stands apart from flow master, I didnt want my truck sounding like another stupid mustang with flowmasters
@ckehm87 Plug and play, no tuning needed, as you uprade parts you just keep an eye on fuel trims, when trims go towards the rich side you up the fuel injector size to bring trims back to 0% or slightly lean
@cripin2021 Yup, morning dew in the pipes/steam on warm up makes the carbon run out the tail pipes and then mists it onto the driveway, a good rain washes them away
I have a 1996 Dodge Dakota. Have many plans with it. Right now i have no backseat due to having a wall and four 15" subs in the back but i am trying to make the truck look really nice. I like the hood scoop and you have tires. I am going to paint mine black because looks awesome on your truck so should look good on mine also. Love the truck 5 stars out of 5.
@thegrimreaper73 Yes the Black Pearl did turn out pretty good, I 'm very happy with the colors, Going racing tonight will see if someone will take video there.
Hopefully they will so you might be able to put the video up. I am going to put more videos up. Maybe today I will. Its not all done yet so hesitating but it can be in the works. I subbed so i wont miss out on anything :)
@oellrichm Sweet. ill keep checking in. I was wondering where you got your headlights from? Bambi decided to jump across the road while i was doing 66 mph.. and well yeah my headlight and turn signal light are gone. I bought a kit from ebay and the marker and turn signal lights work but the headlight is way to small the if you read the fine print says " sealed beam only " for a 91- 96 Dodge Dakota which i never knew they made.. I have the stock plastic headlights and i want the glass ones.

My Dakota only wishes it was half that truck. Nice.

Mean truck, though personally I'd through. Some 40 series mufflers on it to give it a deep rumble
