Thank you for uploading this. ^^ I watched this last summer, and this inspired me to learn the song which later became my solo for 8th grade. I still come back to this video today to hear you play it- coz it just sounds so beautiful!
@eboyinc your welcome :) i have a question, i now this song its a very famous one... but i remember a movie when i hear it lol i dont now what movie. do you know?
@eboyinc Thanks! I don't know. It just slipped from my mind :)
There are so many pieces I want to learn, I keep jumping from one piece to another. Some consistency on my part would be nice but this piece is definitely on my list to learn!
ps: I just love it how one piece can sound so different with another kind of a violin and the same player!
@VirtuosoInTheMaking -- i think thats what makes this project so interesting for us. we started doing these sound samples as a favor to the family of a professional violinist who passed away a few years ago (leaving behind this amazing collection)...and we didn't really think too mcuh about it then. but we've learned alot about the nature of violins since them.
@jmp100watt == thanks so much...glad you liked it. some of these violins are amazing...as they were collected over a 60-80 year period by a professional violinist who traveled the world performing and was interested in buying violins from wherever they went.
WoW! Your playing is amazing! It sounds so beautiful! I wish I could play like that, but I only started the violin seven months ago! :D Great Job! LOVE your videos!
these violins are part of the estate of a professional violinist who collected these instruments over their lifetime. my family is friends of their family and my brother and i were asked to create short sound samples of each violin in the collection. what we started as a favor has become something much bigger...we've learned alot about violins by doing this :D
thanks...its a terrific violin, but it's not mine. its part of a large collection from the estate of a former professional violinist. my brother and i were asked to document the collection by making these sound samples...i wish i could keep them all...there are so many great violins in the collection :D
thanks...its a really nice instrument...one of many from this collection that my brother and i are lucky enough to get to play for these videos. i just checked out your latest vid...nice job!!!
I'm hoping to be able to get a nicer violin than the one I have right now soon. The one I have is a 100 buck Chinese one. It's a little harsh on the ears.
its still amazing to my brother and i that we're getting to play through this collection of violins. it just seemed like something to do a couple of years ago, but it's become a whole lot more since then. we're glad to hear from youtubers who "get it"...thanks :D
