I know that there always has to be a voice of reason in the family (now that Lois is gradually becoming more and more flawed, but in a good way), but he seems to take that role a bit too seriously. Fortunately, there are those times when he lets loose with Stewie; that's when I see the gool ol' Brian with a "wit as dry as the martinis he drinks" (which I haven't seen him drink lately, actually).
