I think the reason why Lars doesnt use the white tama anymore is the same as why James doesnt use the EET FUK..

Its his favorite drumset and like James he must be afraid that something might go wrong during a live show and fucks the drumset up. So much that if you noticed both Lars and James stoped using those instruments after the Damaged Justice Tour

It's not that kirk was always bad. But like lars, he's gotten lazy and doesn't practice. As a result, all the cool solo's he used to do perfectly have dead notes and sloppyness all over them. And the new metallica album kicks ass, and I mean MAJOR ass, but there isn't one great solo in it. Nothing that will stand the test of time the way solo's from other metallica songs do.

I like the second half of the solo, when he starts with the 16th notes on just the one note building with the wah, from then on. Everything before that is lame. There are some good licks in almost all of the solo's on the album. But each solo on the whole, is lame. ESPECIALLY cyanide and all nightmare long. Again the album it's self is fuckin bad ass. I love every song.

Dude you must be retarded. Bob Rock didnt even produce this album. Flemming Rasmussen produced Ride the Lightning Master of Puppets and And Justice For All. Dyers Eve is from AJFA. So Flemming Produced it. They had to do all the rythm and lead tracks the same way, only one take. If you listen to the acoustic opening in AJFA you can hear a few dead notes that they couldnt change out because technology wasnt far enough. So this entire solo was played perfectly by kirk back in 1988

No it wasnt. Enter Sandman has 3 rythm Guitars playing at once all synchronized. You can see on here if you search Hetfield Laying Down Sandman Hetfield plays the pre chorus riff and then went back to play the main riff so they can take a better take.

No they didnt. Kirk said in an interview in 1989 that the solo for Dyers eve had spaces in the solo so he can have time to change his pickups and move up the fretboard. Like before the tapping part and how it sort of goes into a weird stop where the drums and guitar syncopate and Kirk picks right back up again. Think about the shitty production of this record, if they cant take time to mix it right what makes you think they take the time to cut and paste solos?
