  • Nagyon köszönöm a küldött videókat.

    Chopin zenéje elringat.

  • Don't judge her too much. It's tough playing in front of a crowd. People get nervous. I know I would if I was a soloist in front of a big crowd! I get nervous just playing in festivals!

Still, could use a little bit more rabato ( or however it's spelled).

  • too loud, too fast. somewhat painful to watch.

  • Why does the audience clap wired at the beginning.

  • I'm not exactly a piano playing expert, but even I feel as though she's rushing through this. Makes you wonder if she's even feeling it.

  • why do people move so much when playing the piano? it looks weird; i remain as stationary as possible when playing.

it is not that mechanical, only slightly. a bit rushed in parts though. still, decent play

  • the very antithesis of Chopin music, lacking in finesse and heartfelt emotion.

  • So smooth

  • She plays it as if it were a Czerny etude. a good example of how Chopin should not be played.

  • she is rushing through it, its destroying the grace of this song :(

  • She certainly "gets the job done!" but I cringe watching her fingers so "deep" on the keys. I could never play like that. Is it just that her fingers are soooooo long??? Love her rendition, tho...

  • Kind of robotic dontcha think?

The way she moves her hand is kind of like a cat stretching on its bed.

I am also a big fan of this piece.

  • @floroberg

She is playing the original full version which is a lot more demanding on the fingers but the melody line is far richer than many simplified versions played by other pianists.

  • Gah nostalgia attack

  • great use of borrowed time

  • d song was "no other love," it goes: No other love can warm my heart now that i've known d comfort of ur arms no other luv no other kiss can warm my lips now that i know d wonder of ur kiss no other luv i was blessed w/ luv 2 luv u til d stars burn up above til d moon has lost its silver sheen... no other luv, theres no other luv know d wonder of ur spell...
  • Lies! Lies! Lies! Chopin used time travel to rip it off, duh! Retards...

  • Awesome Fazioli!

  • I'm with you 100% on that one.

  • really nice interpretation. im about halfway done this piece after looking at it for a few days its so beautiful. i love chopin.

  • gooooood

  • i think her expression r blank

  • i think you is blank

  • I don´t understand some people, sometimes they say: expression blank, and othertimes they say fake expressions.......... its difficult to satisfy everybody.....

  • Lindísimo.-

  • 這琴至少1200萬起跳 不過還是史坦威 比較出名

  • 好棒的音色

    不愧是法吉歐利^^

  • her intrepertation is a bit different from the others... but this is still a wonderfull piece

  • she can play really good ;_; nice 5 stars

  • 張夏榕在新舞台展現出音樂人的氣息

  • i thought the music ends at 1:31 thats all i know how to play i didnt know i still got a lot more to learn

  • You must have learned the one from la corda d'oro

  • Not "from". It was USED in FMA.

  • Phenomenally well played much more musical than it normally played - you are an inspiration Hsia-Jung Chang. You have moved me with this piece after spending a day rehearsing it and I thought that was impossible!

  • I'm learning this piece myself now.. I'm 15, but I really hope to have this done for my final exams in 2 years time... (I'm that slow xD)

Just need to nail those fast parts in the middle section.

Really love listening to this piece..

  • damn asians. you guys rule at everything. ;_;

her fingers are filled with such dexterity, it's not even funny.

  • @AtheistsLastThought naw son i think they just practice. its not that they are asian

  • @AtheistsLastThought

    We aren't good at everything.

  • D: wtf, niceee

  • hermosa melodia

  • wow...her fingers seem to glide gracefully across the piano

  • wonderfully played

  • Amazing! She really brings out the melody!

  • Oh my God she is playing on a Fazioli those are considered the ferrari of pianos followed by steinways. Most concert pianists will never get their hands on one those. They cost approx $100,000.or more. But she totally deserved to play on one these because she is phenomenal.

  • I thought the Bosendorfer was the ferrari of pianos.

  • Comment removed

  • My comment was purely subjective. The Fazioli's largest concert piano is priced at 202,000. Their most expensive one is the brunei made with mother pearl and semi precious stones priced at $409,000. If she was playing on a Bosendorfer which their most expensive one is 1.2 million I would compare it to lambhorgini. So trust me I know my pianos

  • I never thought someone could get so excited about pianos lol - not that it's a bad thing.

  • Great composer and very great pianist - sensitive and powerful music. Thanks for this performance!

  • I'm playing this piece right now, and that middle section where it gets faster, yeah...I no good at that. :|

    Lovely piece though.

  • Lovely. Full of passion.

  • i love this song and am learning it myself !!!!!and on the contrary to how some think, i find it great to hear others' interpretations of the song to find what i like best. great job

  • this is awesome! i love this!!

  • soo B E A utiful!

  • linda canção!

  • Beautiful Song

  • Hats off to this artist for a beautiful rendition to the MOST BEAUTIFUL piece of music EVER written Etude in E Major by Mt Friedrick Chpin.

  • 非常厲害。

  • i love that song......!!!!

    :DDD

  • full metal alchemiist? what u mean, it's preposterous. I don't like your comment.

  • not less emotions, yeah right. This is the key word, isn't it. People who know nothing always say that, isn't it?

  • A lot of softness but not less emotion...

  • nice piano, nice play.

  • que emocion, aqui me encuentro con las lagrimas de nuevo...siento demasiado la musica, no lo puedo evitar...

  • the fazioli piano is superb and the pianist is even more....I love her interpretation.

  • her fingers are so fast. amazing.

  • She played so well!!

  • no wonder chopin consider this as one of the greatest (if not the greatest) melody he ever composed. i believe that he compose this song with pride for his homeland Poland....superb.

  • perfect

    *****

  • amazing. . . she can play without swaying much. :O

  • that my recital song and im only 10 its hard for me

  • good luck - you'll do great! :)

  • keep practicing - you'll be great!

  • 夏榕, you look so beautiful and your playing is beautiful as well! It is nice seeing you on youtube.

  • Love this song... beautifully played as well :)

  • shes beautiful too

  • You are great!!!!!

  • At 0:41, is it supposed to be arpeggio?

  • It is not. I think that she arppegiated just for a "special effect". In the Urtext edition, it is written just as a chord.

  • Yeah, that's what I thought. Thanks.

  • No problem.

  • Brilliant technically. But a little 'mechanical' in style (if there is one). She also did some rather unusual phrasing and interpretation. But like I said, very technically competent performance. :)

  • holy smurfer I saw it on fma too! ..damn shes good, see I could never play like dat. wish I could tho..

  • Certainly, it's not a Steinway....

  • It's at the same level as Steinways...It's a Fazioli!

  • as stiff as a stick...

  • Oh, one question please. I dont have a piano teacher right now, could u tell me wich song i could learn after this one ?

  • op 10 no 4. it's hard, but it's traditionally played in sequence after no 3 in concert.

    it's technically challenging.

    play it. :P

  • I love her playing that song . Sp i tried to learn this song too ,) It took about 2 months... the middle part is hard for me ( she is playing very fast ) Her feeling is nice ;)

    Good job !!!

  • Does anyone know wich song i could learn after this piece ? I dont have a piano teacher at the moment ...

    thx

  • Yeah...so I first heard this song watching FMA, but I'M GOING TO PLAY IT SOMEDAY! It's absolutely,indescribably beautiful no matter who's playing it, and those of you that are complaining.......... Can't we all be nice? Youtube seems to have a trend of dissing anyone brave enough to upload a video. ^^;;

  • What's wrong with you people? She's not old or stiff or funny, and there is nothing wrong w/ her arms. She's got crazy skills and she is a beautiful long orchid of a woman. Playing seems to be very private and intimate for her, hence looking away from the audience, even to the floor.

  • Really nice song to listen to, really easy to play :)

  • i love this song^^ i learned it just a whil ago ^^

i love the key of E too =D so easy to play xD

  • she looks really stiff...but I love this piece. Actually I love all of Chopin's work. Haha I'm trying to learn this piece. I don't know if i can though, it looks really hard. but i'll try! ^_^

  • I don't like the way she forces in some notes while playing legato phrases. It sounds mechanical and out of place. She's pretty OK though.

  • her forearm is bigger than her arm

  • rly romantical :) plz check my vids and comment ;)

  • obvioulsy you are not a true piano music lover. if you ever dare to say that about this etude, one of the finest works of chopin, (and chopin´s favorites) o god i would be ashamed of saying that as i am of reading it. by the way.....what do you play=?

  • micheal jackson and sports are your favorites......no way...forget it. your comment is irrelevant because you are an ignorant person.....

  • screw you! OK i'm no professional, but i did my grade 9 before i quit to focus on engineering school. Chopin's actually my favourite, i know ALL his pieces and have been listening to them for years, and play many including a few etudes. From my chopin etude book I read long ago chopin being quoted "i'll never again find such a beautiful melody" regarding this song, but thanks for trying to teach me something i already know. Sorry i have other interests, hahah.

  • I dominate fanasie impromptu, the heroic polonaise, the butterfly etude, and some preludes, which i've performed live, again, i'm no professional but i'd say my versions are quite good. I'm quite confident i know more about his music than you. Yeah, i like michael jackson and tennis, maybe you should find a life outside piano, ever think of that???

  • looks a little anorexic to me...

  • I was thinking the same thing. I was actually wondering if there was something wrong with the picture. Beautifully played, though!

  • Excellent cousin!

  • Too bad. She is a very talented pianist, but it would've been more enjoyable, for my preferences over this piece, if she followed Chopin's dynamic indications. The liberties she took on the tempo variations stray far from the essence of the piece, unfortunately.

  • Are you sure of that? I thought Chopin liked Tempo Rubato, but I'm not sure how this piece really should been played though.

  • Oh I agree. Musical historians will concur with the notion that Chopin loved Rubato. I think, though, too much Rubato can change the mood of the piece. Everyone is different though.

Horowitz's rendition was supreme, in my opinion. Many people will disagree.

  • i heard this in la corda d'oro (an anime) i think

  • same....episode 4 i think

  • Yep it's titled Wakare No Kyoku...it only features the beginning and end parts of the song though..

  • i love her posture and character during this performance.

  • I CAN PLAY THIS!!!

    *jumps for joy*

  • you play like I have to say .... want to married me? :-D
