@FoolyCoolyMabase The language is in syllables. They actually don't have to, like you don't pronounce "u" at the end of desu (some people do). It's pretty much a matter of choice.

@FoolyCoolyMabase I've always assumed they do it to piss me off. The joke's on them though: they are so used to butchering foreign words, that when they try speaking those languages for real they end up making fools of themselves.
