  • The water began to rise. It was not something occurring in the dark of night. It had to be known to a number of people that relocating their car to a higher elevation away from the developing flood was a good idea. Yet, the water rose to the level of car windows. What was the main excuse to leave their cars in place?

  • I remember this - it was a disaster. There are some flood plains in Lombard even though it doens't seem like the water should/could/would ever get that high - It sure did!!!
