They are receiving these "blessings" to promote the church and to gain converts which means potential income for the church. It discusses me that people want to help on the condition they can promote their faith.
@mordred612 I see you are frustrated...but these men and women are improving the world, they are doing what they have been commanded to do; spread the word, and most of all, act. Additionally, where in the world is food free? Everything is given for a price, but this price is eternal salvation. Not a bad deal if you ask me.
@basicmindset So the price for helping them is for them to accept your religious teachings? Do you believe Jesus would promote these conditions? I don't.
@mordred612 this is true, missionaries always have an agenda. What disgusts me is that they go to other countries that have they're own religions and cultures that go back thousands of years, and they have the arrogance to tell these people that what they beleive is wrong and that they need to change their religion
@ssawatdee And it is also unfortunate that the people they are converting are often uneducated. They see a guy pushing Jesus and bringing milk and cookies; then they start saying to themselves...the Jesus guy always has milk and cookies. Maybe if I were a Jesus guy I could also have milk and cookies. Being uneducated many of these people take what people they look up to teach as truth. If they were able to read the Bible they would see the faults throughout the book.
Thanks for sending god's word to my people...
