I don't understand why these games have a fanbase to begin with. I don't even think the Genesis could be considered "good". The controls are loose, wonky, and there is very little platforming to be seen. With a few exceptions, just holding right will get you through 95% of most levels.

In my eyes all Sonic's suck - new and old. I have played them by the way. Not all of them of course; I don't play a game if I don't enjoy it. Though Mario is also overrated, it is at least enjoyable and has some redeeming qualities.

Adventure 1 and 2 are mediocre, and did not age well, Heroes sucked too, Generations is the best Sonic game of 2000 -2010, but IMHO CD and 3&K are still better. Colors and Generatinos are great but theyre not the best Sonic games. Maybe that's your opinion and yours alone.

Adventure 1,2, and Heroes are awesome. I don't know about the dc versions, but I had the gc versions and I know for a fact that none of the supposed camera problems actually exist aside from the view shifting to an annoying angle every now and then. You obviously are a classic fanboy if you think they sucked. And Colors and Generations are better because they actually have platforming while the classics had a lot of the on rails crap. They're still great, but no as good.

What? Adventure 1 and 2 are mediocre. Horrible camera, stupid gameplay for most characters besides Knuckles Tails and Sonic. Adv 2 was better but not by much. At least both were better than Heroes. I cant play them today because theyre not as fun as before. Youre the one blinded by nostalgia by those 2 games. And they were my first Sonic games, I didnt play the classics until a couple of years ago and I still think they're better.
