  • I think that the number one and two songs should be swapped around. I just find Stairway better than Bohemian Rhapsody

  • Nice.

  • queen!!!!! your either gay or stupid

  • american pie came out in the 60's

  • Great list. I counted that i have 18 of those song in my iTunes.

  • i thought janis joplin only made music in the 60s?

  • @multekongen94 In fact you're right, she died in 1970, but new albums were released in the 70's.

  • Of course queen the first bohemian rhapsody a master pace

  • Great compilation!

    Queen the best!

  • I literally predicted every single song on this list, and at one point in the middle of the video, I said to myself "I wonder if number one will be Stairway to Heaven, or Bohemian Rhapsody?" Haha

  • Son sin duda grandes canciones, que lástima que me toco una generación donde la juventud femenina cree que justin bieber es un "gran artista" y en general los jovenes creen que los reguetonteros son todos unos músicos, que generación mas sorda me tocó.

  • Marvin Gaye?? Is that rock???

  • I like your list! especially the top 4 (i would have choosen the same 4)! but dude! 1 thing: Janis joplin died in 1970! so i wonder how she ca make a song in 1971!xD

    but nice list

  • I'm wasn't a huge Kiss fan...but Kiss was so big in the 70's that they had their own TV specials, Kids lunch boxes..Dolls, Posters ect..They were also the first ROCK band to do a slow song. Ever hear the song by Kiss called B.E.T.H. !! duh..

  • Marvin Gay??..Rod Stewart?? Stevie Wonder??....No ay.. they are good songs but best ROCK songs of the 70's..Not even top 75....Then having Queen #1 over Stairway to heaven??!! Who made this list?? If this is a 70's list Where is Grand Funk Railroad? Where is Ted Nugent? No KISS !!!...this was the dumbest list i ever seen...

  • where is comfortably numb ???????????

  • John Lennon should be # 1!!

  • This list is okay, but some of the songs aren't that good(ahem,Janis Joplin).

  • I must say Bohemian Rhapsody at #1 is a joke.

And S.Wonder,B.Marley and M.Gaye is not even rock.

  • @tenoderaaridifolia no its the best song ever

  • I`m proud to say that I`ve considered almost every one of those songs to be my favorites throughout my life and I was born in 1990. BUT! The list should've had more Sabbath! Paranoid is definitely NOT their best tune from the 70`s!

  • How about Bob Seger's "Old Time Rock and Roll' and Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon"

  • list is perfect to me but i think i would have added dyer maker :)

  • Comment removed

  • @danusmcgator there where eagles hotel cal.

  • Everyone picks on the guy, yet he took the time to make this list. That said, there are only about 6-7 songs I would post.. but that's just me. MiSSING: Suite Judy blue eyes (OK so 1968) SUMMER BREEZE, and you left out Fleetweed Mac. (Intentional sp error) Beegees, and Disco Inferno.. but you tried. Good job

  • let it be is 7th should be 1st

  • 3:50 didnt janis die in 1970?

  • I KNEW QUEEN WAS GUNNA have like the top songs !! man gotta love freddy M!!

  • Janis.. my idol. She blows all the "hottest" female vocalists out the water these days!

  • @rebeccaggg18 Same here.<3

  • @rebeccaggg18 Tiffany is much better. Stevie Nicks much better. Janis just screamed. Sad ending to ther life, though

  • thank god Queen and led

  • Creedence Clearwater Revival not mentioned? Greatest american band ever!

  • @diamonddave343 agreed. my favorite band in fact!! the beatles are right there with them thoughh

  • @diamonddave343: What an insult and they added Roxanne? what a joke! Long Live John Fogerty

  • @AdanUmanzor put john fogerty in your ass .Roxanne is a good song jealouse idiot ..

  • @diamonddave343 Maybe he didn't putted them because the 70's was there decline. Yet, I think Someday Never Comes should be in the list. He also missed The Doors second to best album: LA woman. He, however, tried it, and he chose good songs, so I am not going to complain.

  • i've heard that we will rock you and we are supossed to be the same song

  • let it be was recorded in the 60's. doesn't really matter though

  • MARVIN GAYE SO NOT CLASSIC ROCK. THERE SO MANY MORE DESERVING BANDS

    AND NO PETER FRAMPTON!!!!

  • @103LIMITED

couldn't agree more!! I dont't even like Frampton, but kept waiting for him to come up. Stevie Wonder?

  • Yeah Tull is missing, Yes is missing, ELP is missing and both the Who and Stones are under-represented. Other than that good job.

  • Why did they make rap

  • @gronetlv7 Black Sabaath and ACDC had very limited genres. Led Zeppelin IMO is one of the most talented bands ever, as well as one of the most creative, and is competitive with Queen, but I think Queen has the greatest range of genres in Rock history.

  • @quaxk your mother sucks!

  • hmm... where is "Uriah Heep - Lady In Black"?

  • and Jethro Tull????????

  • And "dream on" didn't make the list y? ? ?

  • Great list! Thanks for posting! But Freebird 24th behind Dust in the wind?? I also think The Police was awful. Marvin Gay is rock? Bob Marley? Janis Joplin..I never saw it withher........Stevie Wonder rock?? Again nice list, Dark Side of the Moon is an album you should check out! Your Friend, Moshe

  • Oh, and no fucking Frampton either. What a shit list.

  • Wow, a real lot of sleep-inducing shit on this list. And no Rock and Roll All Night or Blitzkrieg Bop, this list could have been called "Some good songs but a real lot of boring crap songs by rock bands that barely qualify as rock."

  • Just one question, why no one has ever heard of Electric Light Orchestra? T-T

  • Great video, I agree with most of the songs, but I think Dust in the Wind should be higher in the list.

Bohemian Rhapsody best song ever : )

  • Thank god this vid reminded me of the utter brilliance of Skynyrd's Free Bird, it shud have been higher though, way higher!! #1 maybe :) thank god you've reminded me!

  • John Lennon should have been first. He was a god at music.

  • pink floyd wish you were here???

  • jethro tull anyone?

  • queens sucks

  • @quaxk Justin Bieber's fan?

  • @DartiCia He said queens sucks

  • @DartiCia FUCKYOU!!!!!!!!! Not Justub Bieber FAGG

  • @quaxk Queen is more talented than virtually any other band of the era...

  • @RaybornButtercups Queen is great but not as good as Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, or AC/DC

  • @quaxk you must be deaf

  • @quaxk No. No they don't.

  • @quaxk FUCK YOU MAN QUEEN ROCKS

  • @quaxk Your mother sucks ..

  • Heee Fuck, where's BigMac with HiHiHi?

That's an ultimate Big Rocker mate!

Good for at least the 5th place...

  • to much bubble gum

  • you did hit aerosmith but Dream On strikes me as a much better choice.

  • the doors!!!

  • Boston is one of the most underrated bands of all time...

  • 1:25 Gimli is a drummer :P

  • no way is queen better then zepplin stair way should have been #1, im gonna go cry about this now.

  • Some of that is Metal and pop music. And cannot be classified as rock.

  • interesting selection, i would suggest you missed a few like queen, ccr, and of course the the guess who, my own opinion. and also the bee gees who had some awesome hits in the 70's and some others i could suggest too, but i would say you picked some great songs

  • eh, this is one of the better lists I have seen. I could name a hundred songs I would want on the list, but everyone's tastes are different.

This is a pretty decent list. Might have to agree with the Comfortably Numb.

  • Come on,no child in time?

  • 1950's- starting of good music

    1960's- sweet rock n roll

1970's- cool rock and funky disco

1980's- heavy metal and pop power

1990's- rock on with hip hop

2000's- (CRYING) what happen to the magic

    THUMB UP IF U AGREE

  • @CheeseNoir

    You mean EARLY 90's?

In the late 90's, pop took over.

  • @sega310982 you do have a good point

  • @CheeseNoir whore

  • @CheeseNoir 2010s=revival of good music(hopefully) :)

  • @CheeseNoir 2010s=revival of good music (hopefully) :)

  • @bodin97: Sadly, that idea is almost laughable... Most teenagers today don't understand music...

  • @CheeseNoir 90's grunge more like

  • @CheeseNoir 80s and 90s are good too ... brothers

  • @CheeseNoir 70's = cool rock & funky disco?

What about Black Sabbath? Led Zeppelin? Deep Purple? Sir Lord Baltimore?

  • @CheeseNoir actually, the 30's is the start of good music, thats when blues started getting bigger, 40's has a lot of awesome christmas music and big band music, and then we have the wonderfull 50's with the clothes, the cars, the awesome music and all the junkfood commercials!

  • The 70s was the golden era for the best rock songs. Most bands best tracks are from this decade (including Beatles and the Stones)

  • all those songs are better than the crap on the radio in 2011

  • FREE BIRD IS DEFINITELY IN THE TOP 10 AT LEASED!

    SHAME

  • BOSTON!!!! #1 !!

  • notice the earlier ones are first! :)

  • Bob Marley is doing rock now ? ...

  • WTF ? Smoke on the water is only the 25th ?

  • WHAT THE FUCK WHERE IS THE CCR?

  • no Hendrix? wtf?

  • Freddie Mercury has the greatest rock and roll voice of all time, I am really happy you have him not only 3 times on this list, but he is number 1 on your list. Great list

  • [Don't Fear] The Reaper 25 Or 6 To 4 A Horse With No Name American Pie American Woman Another Brick in the Wall, Pt. 2 Baba O'Riley Barracuda Bohemian Rapsody Carry on Wayward Son Comfortably Numb Daydream Dust in the Wind Free Bird Get It On Hocus Pocus Hold The Line Hotel California I Was Made For Lovin' You Let it Be Long Cool Woman (In A Black Dress) More Than A Feeling Radar Love Rock And Roll Part II Smoke On The Water Stairway to Heaven Time In A Bottle While My Guitar Gently Weeps
  • What is with everyone and bob marley... I dont like him. I dont understand why everyone else loves him.

  • NO STOOGES! THE FUCK!

  • Can I Just Ask One Question...WHERE THE HELL IS BAT OUT OF HELL!!!

  • Where's maiden ? Btw, half of these songs aren't even close to rock.. They are just categorized as rock because It was the 'rock n roll ' lifestyle back then - Which isn't really the same as rock in music..

  • WTF? Black Sabbath-Paranoid 27th Deep Purple-Smoke on the water 25th AC/DC- Highway to hell 23rd Led Zeppelin- Black dog 22nd Aerosmith- Walk this way 20th Pink Floyd- Another brick in the wall (part II.) 9th The Beatles- Let it be 7th Led Zeppelin- Stairway to heaven 2nd These songs should be in the 1st place.
  • Pink Floyd - Money or Time or any song from Dark side of the moon Should have been in the 1st place

  • Opps - typo Sorry. Meant "Top30music".

  • Top30misic gets a C+ for the order of the countdown and an A+ for total effort. The soul and raggae really belong on another "best of" list, although they do belong on a "best" list of some sort.

  • what about Dire Straits - Sultans of swing?

  • Not one fucking maiden song!? WTF

  • You got it right for the most part...I would have some of the songs higher up & Bohemiam Rhaposody would not be in my top 20 (though a halarious & fun song)... but I'm sorry, and I know this will offend lots of people, but Janis Joplin has no musical talent what-so-ever & John Lennin's song "Dreamer" is one of my least favorite songs of all time. He wasn't a dreamer, he was a hallucinator.

  • Marvin Gaye is Rock ?????

    Bob Marles is Rock ???

    Stevie Wonder is Rock ???

    how it could be ?

but i very agree Bohemian Rhapsody is number one !

  • it should paranaoid black sabbath goes into big 10

  • Sound list

  • @MortenBoHansen

Pink Floyd is Prog Rock ,and, is infinitly better than techno

  • Black Sabbath should be higher...

  • the day black magic woman is a rock song. Pink Floyd plays techno!

  • Queen #1 ! <3

  • @Mwamwamwa69 you ruined the surprise >:|

  • no bowie?

  • Queen deserved No. 1.

  • @Noisyjones1 i had bo rhapsody at 2, stairway at 1

  • Bohemian rhapsody def good pick for number 1.

  • im sorry... stevie wonder is funk and bob marley is raggae... get your shit right

  • black sabbath must be first!!!

  • Stairway should be no. 1 and there should be more led Zeppelin, but that's what I think, the 70's was filled with insanely good music, I could have a list of 30 Zeppelin songs, or queen songs all by them selves, so much good music

  • Where is KISS , the hottest rock'n'roll band from the 70's????!!!??!!

  • And... where is Dancing Queen??

  • everyones top 30 would be different but i agree with b44ts...they are r&b

  • Marvin Gaye and Bob Marley are not rock !!!! Stevie Wonder is Funk at best.

  • @b44ts glad you said it...I was thinking the list was going towards the soft side for "rock" then when Gaye showed up and was followed up by Marley that cinched it. maybe could let Wonder pass.

but I still appreciate the effort, did smile and was happy not to see Hey Jude as #1.

  • FREEBIRD really???????????

    got to be no 1.

  • Ok ummmmm... Obviously queen should be nowhere near the number 1 spot. Hotel California or stairway to heaven should have been first.

  • bo rapsody??????REALLY?????your obviously loved the radio top 40

  • UWAGA KURWA BO POLAK WKRACZA!!

  • you left out little willy willy, night Chicago died, ballroom blitz, run joey run, s-a-t-u-r-d-a-y...Night!, rockin' robin, Seasons in the Sun, others. Thank you, I'll be here all night.

  • year of the cat, sultans of swing, sweethome alabama, etc etc etc.

  • For those who know REAL ROCK music, they will realize 3/4 of the songs on this list is DEFINITELY NOT ROCK....so this list sucks for me.

  • That's not a bad list, but some songs aren't really rock, more top 40. Also, 3 Queen songs? Do I smell bias? lol.

  • born to run 26? should be way higher

  • LOVE IT

  • WHERE IS COMFORTABLY NUMB?????

  • paranoid must be 1st!!!

  • you use the word rock loosely eg reggae is not rock. several of your choices are not rock songs at all

  • Usually I never concur with users opinions on top music. But I applaud your choice for #1.

If Queen wasn't on top then you're crazy.

  • To be honest the70's kinda sucked for REAL rock music

  • @jordyblakeley98 What do you consider REAL rock? The 70s rocked

  • I am absolutely agree with the first one

  • where is money, time and comfortably numb?

  • It's forever and ever !

  • Some good songs, but I would not agree with that as a top 30

  • Imagine for No. 1!!

  • What a great era for music

  • How dare u put elton john so far behind!

  • ... the Original "Layla" by Derek and The Dominos and so on.

  • Maybe the 30 biggest HITS but, certainly Not the 30 Best in Quality Musicianship. Try Jeff Beck's "Freeway Jam" or Lou Reed's "Sweet Jane" or The Allman Bros "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed" or ... the list goes on.

  • No KISS and no The Who?! And since when did Bob Marley and Marvin Gave became rock musicians?

  • Queen at the top, where they rightly belong! ....plus another two songs of theirs on this list. 'nuff said!

  • No KISS?

  • gotta love that hair

  • Stairway To Heaven lives at #1. List mediocre at best.

  • No Allman Brothers WTF

  • what happened to frampton

  • The title said rock songs, now go learn what rock is and repost.

Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder= Rock? Perhaps Motown And Elton John LMFAO, F'ing pop trash.

  • Imagine is the number 1,not number 3 .__.

  • number 24 should be number 1

  • Yeah you just put up all of the most overplayed songs

  • you mean the most overplayed and annoying songs of the 70's = garbage. lame.

  • Undisputed number 1

  • marvin gaye, bob marley, and stevie wonder? rock musicians?

  • this isn't best ROCK songs top. there are a lot of funk, regge, pop and others in here.

  • imagine should be 1 stairway to heaven should be 2

  • Too much Guitar Hero in this man !

  • @MrPedronorole You mean "not enough of this on guitar hero".

  • The problem is, there was SO much brilliant music around in the 70s (and late 60s) Any list will be inadequate. Even the worst band then is better than the rubbish that passes as music now. The place was absolutely awash with great bands and solo artists. The 70s was a pinnacle of creativity - its been a downward slide since then....

  • I haven't even named any disco or soul music. Damn, that's three or four more posts. I'm tired.

  • @n5ifi why would disco and soul music be on the top rock songs..?

  • @Acoustiics You think Crocodile Rock is Rock? Maybe roller skate rock and don't get me wrong, I love Elton John. Marvin Gaye? Bob Marley? Janis Joplin? Stevie Wonder? This is a touchie feely liberal agenda rock list, plain and simple. I have no problem with some of the songs. Freedie Mercury was a beautiful singer but two songs? I don't think so. Me sees touchy feely all over this. I'll bet even Freeedie Mercury would even agree.
