I literally predicted every single song on this list, and at one point in the middle of the video, I said to myself "I wonder if number one will be Stairway to Heaven, or Bohemian Rhapsody?" Haha
Son sin duda grandes canciones, que lástima que me toco una generación donde la juventud femenina cree que justin bieber es un "gran artista" y en general los jovenes creen que los reguetonteros son todos unos músicos, que generación mas sorda me tocó.
I like your list! especially the top 4 (i would have choosen the same 4)! but dude! 1 thing: Janis joplin died in 1970! so i wonder how she ca make a song in 1971!xD
I'm wasn't a huge Kiss fan...but Kiss was so big in the 70's that they had their own TV specials, Kids lunch boxes..Dolls, Posters ect..They were also the first ROCK band to do a slow song. Ever hear the song by Kiss called B.E.T.H. !! duh..
Marvin Gay??..Rod Stewart?? Stevie Wonder??....No ay.. they are good songs but best ROCK songs of the 70's..Not even top 75....Then having Queen #1 over Stairway to heaven??!! Who made this list?? If this is a 70's list Where is Grand Funk Railroad? Where is Ted Nugent? No KISS !!!...this was the dumbest list i ever seen...
I`m proud to say that I`ve considered almost every one of those songs to be my favorites throughout my life and I was born in 1990. BUT! The list should've had more Sabbath! Paranoid is definitely NOT their best tune from the 70`s!
Everyone picks on the guy, yet he took the time to make this list. That said, there are only about 6-7 songs I would post.. but that's just me. MiSSING: Suite Judy blue eyes (OK so 1968) SUMMER BREEZE, and you left out Fleetweed Mac. (Intentional sp error) Beegees, and Disco Inferno.. but you tried. Good job
@diamonddave343 Maybe he didn't putted them because the 70's was there decline. Yet, I think Someday Never Comes should be in the list. He also missed The Doors second to best album: LA woman. He, however, tried it, and he chose good songs, so I am not going to complain.
@gronetlv7 Black Sabaath and ACDC had very limited genres. Led Zeppelin IMO is one of the most talented bands ever, as well as one of the most creative, and is competitive with Queen, but I think Queen has the greatest range of genres in Rock history.
Great list! Thanks for posting! But Freebird 24th behind Dust in the wind?? I also think The Police was awful. Marvin Gay is rock? Bob Marley? Janis Joplin..I never saw it withher........Stevie Wonder rock?? Again nice list, Dark Side of the Moon is an album you should check out! Your Friend, Moshe
Wow, a real lot of sleep-inducing shit on this list. And no Rock and Roll All Night or Blitzkrieg Bop, this list could have been called "Some good songs but a real lot of boring crap songs by rock bands that barely qualify as rock."
Thank god this vid reminded me of the utter brilliance of Skynyrd's Free Bird, it shud have been higher though, way higher!! #1 maybe :) thank god you've reminded me!
interesting selection, i would suggest you missed a few like queen, ccr, and of course the the guess who, my own opinion. and also the bee gees who had some awesome hits in the 70's and some others i could suggest too, but i would say you picked some great songs
@CheeseNoir actually, the 30's is the start of good music, thats when blues started getting bigger, 40's has a lot of awesome christmas music and big band music, and then we have the wonderfull 50's with the clothes, the cars, the awesome music and all the junkfood commercials!
Freddie Mercury has the greatest rock and roll voice of all time, I am really happy you have him not only 3 times on this list, but he is number 1 on your list. Great list
[Don't Fear] The Reaper 25 Or 6 To 4 A Horse With No Name American Pie American Woman Another Brick in the Wall, Pt. 2 Baba O'Riley Barracuda Bohemian Rapsody Carry on Wayward Son Comfortably Numb Daydream Dust in the Wind Free Bird Get It On Hocus Pocus Hold The Line Hotel California I Was Made For Lovin' You Let it Be Long Cool Woman (In A Black Dress) More Than A Feeling Radar Love Rock And Roll Part II Smoke On The Water Stairway to Heaven Time In A Bottle While My Guitar Gently Weeps
Where's maiden ? Btw, half of these songs aren't even close to rock.. They are just categorized as rock because It was the 'rock n roll ' lifestyle back then - Which isn't really the same as rock in music..
WTF? Black Sabbath-Paranoid 27th Deep Purple-Smoke on the water 25th AC/DC- Highway to hell 23rd Led Zeppelin- Black dog 22nd Aerosmith- Walk this way 20th Pink Floyd- Another brick in the wall (part II.) 9th The Beatles- Let it be 7th Led Zeppelin- Stairway to heaven 2nd These songs should be in the 1st place.
Top30misic gets a C+ for the order of the countdown and an A+ for total effort. The soul and raggae really belong on another "best of" list, although they do belong on a "best" list of some sort.
You got it right for the most part...I would have some of the songs higher up & Bohemiam Rhaposody would not be in my top 20 (though a halarious & fun song)... but I'm sorry, and I know this will offend lots of people, but Janis Joplin has no musical talent what-so-ever & John Lennin's song "Dreamer" is one of my least favorite songs of all time. He wasn't a dreamer, he was a hallucinator.
Stairway should be no. 1 and there should be more led Zeppelin, but that's what I think, the 70's was filled with insanely good music, I could have a list of 30 Zeppelin songs, or queen songs all by them selves, so much good music
@b44ts glad you said it...I was thinking the list was going towards the soft side for "rock" then when Gaye showed up and was followed up by Marley that cinched it. maybe could let Wonder pass.
but I still appreciate the effort, did smile and was happy not to see Hey Jude as #1.
you left out little willy willy, night Chicago died, ballroom blitz, run joey run, s-a-t-u-r-d-a-y...Night!, rockin' robin, Seasons in the Sun, others. Thank you, I'll be here all night.
Maybe the 30 biggest HITS but, certainly Not the 30 Best in Quality Musicianship. Try Jeff Beck's "Freeway Jam" or Lou Reed's "Sweet Jane" or The Allman Bros "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed" or ... the list goes on.

@Acoustiics You think Crocodile Rock is Rock? Maybe roller skate rock and don't get me wrong, I love Elton John. Marvin Gaye? Bob Marley? Janis Joplin? Stevie Wonder? This is a touchie feely liberal agenda rock list, plain and simple. I have no problem with some of the songs. Freedie Mercury was a beautiful singer but two songs? I don't think so. Me sees touchy feely all over this. I'll bet even Freeedie Mercury would even agree.
I think that the number one and two songs should be swapped around. I just find Stairway better than Bohemian Rhapsody

@n5ifi why would disco and soul music be on the top rock songs..?

@Acoustiics You think Crocodile Rock is Rock? Maybe roller skate rock and don't get me wrong, I love Elton John. Marvin Gaye? Bob Marley? Janis Joplin? Stevie Wonder? This is a touchie feely liberal agenda rock list, plain and simple. I have no problem with some of the songs. Freedie Mercury was a beautiful singer but two songs? I don't think so. Me sees touchy feely all over this. I'll bet even Freeedie Mercury would even agree.
