Although I have been a fan of ETBG, Tracy Thorn can't do this song justice. Don't take this wrong, I love her voice, but this song demands a more dramatic presence and a greater range. I would like to have heard Patsy Cline or Roy Orbison sing it before they passed or k d lang...but who am I to say? hell, I can't carry a tune in a bucket.

Seems like it was 1986, or early '87 when I heard this, in Steve Beckett's apartment that he was moving out of. Not for sure on the year. Heavy experimental era for me, greatly affecting my memory! Anyway, thanks for posting it! Been wanting to hear it for years. It's what really got me interested in finger style jazz guitar. I remembered the album cover as soon as it flashed on the screen. Still have a few cells left!
