  • Your video is a favorite on Bangkok

  • Your video went viral on Kingston

  • Phil certainly dominates this mix but his bass is also terribly out of tune.

  • Phil Truly Dominates

  • I second that, Phil dominates.

  • phil dominates

  • Thanks so much for uploading the set; do you have the 2nd set, and encore if there was one, as well?! If so, please upload em as well!

i cry waking up often did you have to destroy me stop letting those peaple convince you

    they dont really know me

  • Listen to that bass! Especially at 0.38, now THAT'S a Phil bomb

  • Loved this period of the Dead - Keith certainly knew how to tickle those ivories, all the instruments were pure analog and Sahhweeeet!

  • Outstanding! Your wedding cake

  • My wedding cake had the dancing bears and so sweetly said: They love each other!!!

  • lol

    thats awesome!

  • @SKFisse09 do you have a picture my gf would love to see it as would i!!!!

  • @SKFisse09 our wedding cake had a steal your face with daisies all around it and said "Love is Real Not Fade Away"...we met at a dead show :)

  • when my girl and i get married we are dancing to this and peggy-o. sometimes the dead had such a romantic side to em.

  • wow this is amazing phil is right on and jerry sounds awesome. long live the dead

  • holy moly is phil up front in tha mix! Its like Kingston jamaica in Jersey...in a great way!

  • @TheMattyz - no, its more like Passaic in Ocho Rios

  • This is awesome, I'm a Donna Snob, I relate her to yoko and Linda, but Jerry just overshadows all of that and this is the nads! I'm, a fan of the "Brent" era. that's when I saw close to 50 shows, you never heard this song or "weather report"...

  • @64delftlover True and for a reason!

  • Such an amazing band... I could have, I should have, and now all I can do is wish I had seen them but WOW...

  • @rumplef they were amazing live... Truly Amazing.

  • @rumplef I agree. I was born too late. I was at a couple shows with my parents, but alas, I was too young to remember much...

  • Come on! Where's the Cinco 09 version? I know someone had to get it on video, just about every other song from the two night run is on here somewhere. Even a snippet of the crowd joining in on the chorus . . .talk about an AMEN moment!

  • right on, i miss these days

  • amen brother...

  • This is amazing. Wow...the Dead were great. It brings back happy memories.

  • Is it me or does it seem like every time Donna turns to Jerry or Phil for acknowledgement ( i assume)

They turn the other way.....start doing something else???

    lol

  • Yeah! Way weird! Makes you think something is certainly going on!

  • love the slow funky version!

  • Gotta love Phil in this one!!

  • I smile everytime i hear Jerry's playing =)

  • this song was way underrated

  • I hate the slow arrangement of TLEO.

  • i gotta favor the fast 73 version, too bad i can't find any videos of that.

  • My favorite TLEO is probably 07-28-73. The aud really don't do it any justice but the show was just stellar IMO!

  • Slower is better, my baby knows it!!! Lord you can see that it's true!!! Love and miss ya Jer!

  • As a Bayonne boy, I remember this one. I owe my parents so much...

  • that base line gets me every time

  • fantastic slow version fucking love it

  • oh, much thanks to ethandeitrich1, this looks like a 8mm recording. not the best b/w visual - but very nice audio. did you record this yourself? thank you!

  • i LOVE it slow.. awesome version of one of my very favorite love songs.

  • YES BOYS!!!

  • Yeah, things slowed down after Jerry met China White in '75

  • I was at this show. What at treat to see and hear after all these years... Great tune, great memories, great band.... miss ya Jerry.

  • Wow! I never heard this song done this slow. The faster version on Winterland '73 is better. Still great though.

  • Yeah, this arrangement is more like what you'd hear from Legion Of Mary - the band Jerry played with in 1975-75 during the GD's layoff. Many tunes were slowed down in 1976-1978.

  • the early versions were much slower...less manic...slower is better...ask your girl...

  • I was thinkin of the ole dazes too!!!! Miss them so badly sometimes whe i travel my in the head of mind!!LOL!!! Grateful!!

  • IM ISS THE GOOD OLE DAYZ!! JAMMIN!! Thanks!

  • they love each other!

  • i love the way alligator sounds

  • That's not Alligator ... that's the Travis Bean

  • THANK YOU!!!

    MISS JERRY>>>>:)

  • I got the cassette of this show 20+ yrs ago. Had no idea there was a vid out there. WOW! Thank you!

  • Does anyone remember the 1/2 time intermission show. It was an animal on a mini motorcycle. It was a crazy place. I read that Dylan met the Dead at this venue 2 years earlier. Anyone confirm that? God bless all of their souls

  • damn I love em... everyone...I still miss you very much Jerry

  • Wonderful stuff. Thanks for sharing.

  • I like how this recording has so much low end! Guitarists: Jerry played the aluminum neck Travis Bean approx. '75-'77. He loved it because it stayed in tune in any kind of climate and had a very clear sound. But the neck felt too cold much of the time. His next stage guitar was the first Doug Irwin guitar (Wolf) Thanks for posting these great clips!

  • It's such a lovely song !
