@alberto9275156 you can't hook the headset up through the mouse. you should have extra usb ports on the ps3 right? or get a splitter, or stick to a wireless headset.

I bought this ive had it for a week, waste of 100$!!! There is ZERO rrason why when im scoped i should have to slide the mouse 3/4 across the screen to move a few inches on the screen... this product is bullshit.. ive spent hours on my cpu and ps3 playing with every sensitivity to try and get it good... it SUCKS it is NOWHERE near a real mouse... fucking bullshit splittish... dont buy everyone!!!!

Splitfish makes junk. Product died after about 90 hours of gameplay. Customer service was terrible and I ended up with only a partial refund. See my video for details.

@chrissy8ful "Macros" are a series of button presses that you program into 1 button press. For example; I have a remote control at home that I've programmed to turn my TV, sound system and cable box on all with one button press. I press the "A" button on my remote and it does it all for me without me having to find the remote for each device to turn them on. Some controllers for video game consoles have the same functions for in game actions.

@chrissy8ful yeah it can be a bit tricky. I should really learn to do it correctly and map my buttons to where I want them. I've just gotten used to what the game has already mapped the controlls to and ran with it. The little book that the FragFX controller came tells you how to do it. Sometimes it can be a bit of a pain, but it can be done.

@pyrotekniks63 yo dude, i bought it (at Best Buy) specifically for BF3 on PS3. this controller was built for COD and it works amazing on that. for BF3 it doesnt work as well , IMO its still alot better than the PS3 controller. it may "studder" a little at long distances(BF3 not COD) but in CQC its fine. i dont understand why it works flawless in COD's and not BF3 but it does. i wish these assholes would make it work great in all games but they didnt. watch videos before you buy

@CtrlAltKillcast my black ops K/D is 0.75 yeah I suck so so bad!! why? because I have what you call very big hands..lol I just ordered this and I hope it helps in a black ops FFA match I get 5 kills and usually 17 deaths in domination I get about 10-21 deaths. I pray to god that this is my ticket to being a better player. I have been told that I'm too aggressive in my play style rushing blindly is part of my problem.

@TheYouNoob13 The dongle can be plugged in at any time, but if it's in before turning the PS3 on then it will show up as the first controller. Also, if the dongle is plugged in, it will register the first slot, even if you turn it on with a controller. Hope that helps.

@adsroki hi, maybe i can tell you something new: i read that the distance is greatly influencial regarding the delay. if you do sit / play right next to the sender/receiver you wont have any.

one thing you can do. make a reflex test online. after 5 times. record 10 times next to it (mean) and then 10 times far away, you will see a difference. At least i tried and it showed up as in tests

How easy is remapping the buttons? I've got this on it's way and play battlefield mostly and I've read some other reviews saying that the buttons are a pain to reprogram, just curios as to what you think... I never really use vehicles in battlefield ( that something else I've read is a pain to do with the FragFX) also for someone who has always used a regular controller, how hard do you think a FragFX would be to get used to?

@ShiroMak Hit the Frag Button on the nun chuck + select. -> swipe the motion with the frag chuck -> hit button assigned to melee -> repeat step one -> done.

@viper1vols I've tried it with Mass Effect 2 PS3 demo. Doesn't control very well, there's a lot of stair casing (only allows for north east west south movements) and the sensitivity is way too low (no in game sensitivity adjustment).

Just got this yesterday and it sucks... jerky movements and diagonal staircasing in both Bad Company 2 and Black Ops no matter what sensitivity I use...

So i just ordered the Splitfish Shark. I am a old school PC gamer that loves FPS's.

When I bought my first console It took me a hell of a LONG time to adjust playing FPS with the controllers.

Going to a controller from a mouse and keyboard just didnt feel good at all. The controller on any console seems ARCHAIC!

Anyway, im super excited about getting the Shark. I know my K/D ratio will be so much better if this thing does whats it says its supposed to do.

I bought the v2 SE and it does not work for crap with Black ops. I tried every combination with in-game settings and deadwheel to no avail. It lags to hell... What settings did you use?

@CtrlAltKillcast Hey man, thanks for the videos. First of all,(in Black Ops) the splitfish products always excel in private matches and combat training. Once you join a dom,or TDM game you will notice many flaws. It lags your entire game. You can notice this much easier equipping lightweight, and ADS. When you skim targets it seems to skip pixels and is impossible to "get the jump" on an opponent. Can you review this on mutiplayer? Thats where we are all gonna be playing.

@MrEffyourMother I'd be happy to do another video with the multiplayer component. As far as testing it in a best case scenario I've done that. I do know what you're talking about when they get the jump on you. The aiming between Black Ops vs. MW2 (FragFx is Damn Near Perfect On) is so minute.

I will also try to kill two birds with one stone by showing Bad Company 2, since I just got it used on gamefly for 10 bucks!

Also, the PS3 has a lower framerate than the 360 as proven by Digital Foundry

@MrEffyourMother I've been a faithful user of the v2 SE (soon to upgrade) and have found movement to be just as fantastic in a multiplayer setting. It never lags and I get the jump on more ppl than I would with a DS3. Only problem is controlling a chopper gunner (with the old version)

@snoopytat2 there's an bit early in the video showing the movements. as a long time PC player playing on a wired mouse I found that was zero lag. any notable response time with the shark is impossible for a normal human to pick up on.

@theonlylolking They both aim to accomplish the same goal, but eagle eye looks neat also because you can use your own mouse and keyboard. I'll try to contact eagle eye and get my hands on one so I can let you guys know. I can't really say it's better or worse than the FragFx Shark because it would be unfair to say so. Until then I'm still going to be using the Shark.

What do you think of splitfish adding a little weight too the mouse? I think it would help. I have added a weight from another mouse and it feels pretty good.

@campos3452 Thank you! Yeah, the chopper I definitely needed another way to control the chopper to take advantage of getting more kills, the mouse dragging was too much.

I think splitfish adding a little weight is a good thing. Mice that are too light don't feel like they're grounded enough for a steady shot, etc. I like mice with a little weight on them!

Great review, the mouse on their previous FragFX controllers were pretty crappy and the Pro was just absolutely terrible, looks like they finally got it right and they've got the mouse right. I just ordered one and I look forward to see if it can compare in any way to my XIM for PS3, the lack of having to bother with firmware versions or lengthy set up are definitely a plus for the Shark, so long as it is lagless and the mouse can translate those sensitive movements it should be pretty good.
