i have that same knife, i bought it for 15 at a flea market. Its extremely heavy, and thick. i dropped it on my first day using it onto my leg and had to get stitches. i dont recommend it

I'm no expert, but it was the first butterfly I ever got. What a POS it was. I was flipping it and it fell apart on day one and almost took out my foot on it's way down. A more fun "cheap" knife I got is is a Bear & Son brand for bout 40-50 dollars. It took a little bit to wear in, but now it's fine. PS don't hold the side with the latch aka the "bite handle" when flipping until you get better.

hey man, my friend has the same balisong as you (the first one u showed)except his has red wood scales and not the green w/e u have on there, i used it in my new balisong video along with my own balisong. i agree it is a little harder to use but then again you shouldnt put yur fingers on the bite edge unless u want to get cut (1:54=big no no)either way dont give up ^_^

actualy pins are better for ccc's like yours. and a bencmade model 42 is a good balisong. if you are getting into balisong flipping i sugjest you get one of those. im jetting a job to buy a higher end knifes and what ever els seems to interest me at the time. for that for 20 bucks in not bad but it is not a good balisong by "my" standards. yes i have a coulpe ccc's and they were good till i got better and wanted higher quality. sure it is 185$ but fot tianium handels and 154cm blade not bad.

Take heart, everyone gets cut when they first try to do tricks w/ their new knives. Perhaps if you have leather gloves or something to help buffer any contact you may make with the knife's edge.
