I surf and bodyboard in NC and some of the most consistent is around mp 8 there is a sand bar about 60yd off shore and this thing keeps pumping 3-5 foot swells very smooth and clean, i know the bars shift some but this spot tends to not change toooo much

oak island is usually flat alot of the time man only on good swell occasions do they get surf but when they do its very clean

oak island NC is pretty good around the pier, when the last hurricane came in about 1 month ago there were 10-15 FT swells its consistantly pretty good ive been gin there for 17 years in a row, not everyday is gonna be great but a good 10-12 days in a 2 weeks its good ridin conditions.

Very inconsistant but I believe Reef Road can hold the biggest on the East Coast. I've witnessed the Halloween Swell of 1991....solid 20-25 FT....yes once in a generation swell but Reef Road held the swell (organized).

I would say that OBX is the most consistent, however there are a few nooks and crannies that can get bigger on occasion (I.e. the spot Shea is surfing), but NY seems like it gets swells that are some of the biggest on the East Coast.

The spot Shea is surfing is in southern, NC. There is no NY in this segment (even though it fires up there)...it's mainly NC, Florida, and PR.
