  • I want this video on my OT View db unit.

  • This vid went viral on Niger

  • Anthropocentric?

Derrick Jensen is Deep ecologist environmentalist.

You've made a mistake he is more biocentric than anthropocentric because anthropocentric doesn't care for the environment nor animals.

  • I agree with (what i've read and heared from) Derrick 98-99 %. And admire/enjoy his eloquence & humor !

" I do believe that, where there is only a choice between cowardice and violence, I would advise violence... I would rather have India resort to arms in order to defend her honour than that she should, in a cowardly manner, become or remain a helpless witness to her own dishonour. " -- Mahatma Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (1869-1948) (as quoted by Ken O'Keefe )

  • @wda013

    thanks for the quote

  • @TheAnimalHolocaust

    (my pleasure!)

and --synchronistically-- just today listened to Norman Finkelstein similarily describing Gandhi's view: in watch?v=FZHb7YbYd8I ( 3:15 .. )

  • @wda013 thanks again

  • change the title yo/ !

  • any suggestions?

  • @TheAnimalHolocaust

    suggestions... not so much,

but guidelines you dont have to care about .... yes?

its not just about just animals, its not just about trees, its not just about us.

    FUCK

  • That's an easy question to answer. Pacifism, because you'll make less enemies.

  • @wda013 I'm no coward, but I'm no lawbreaker, either. You act outside the law, you go to jail. I don't know about you, but I value my freedom. And only if you want to get shot to death should you resist arrest.

  • @NinjaGhostScorpion

I'm grateful to and highly respect people who were -or risked being- jailed (or worse) because of their commitment to humanitarian values; i think we owe them a lot.

    I value freedom.

We have a proverb here that (roughly) translates to: When injustice becomes law, opposing (these laws) becomes a duty.

And (as i had worked out myself and happened to read yesterday:) "you feel better when you're doing what you feel is right - no matter how hard it is." (R.Clark in DJ's R.A.E.)

  • I like when he talks about all the mother animals he's been attacked by. Indeed, any who thinks love implies pacifism should try taking a baby bear cub away from his or her mother.

  • You must know that DJ isn't even a vegetarian. In his place (though I don't eat animal, myself), I wouldn't appreciate my work being used to promote the vegan website you link to.

  • @histerics3

yes, I know, and actually I think he will support my message because he agrees no animal should be caged and enslaved.

The reasons he is not a vegan do not contradict the vegan cause.

Finally, the vegan cause is much more important than DJ stance.
