  • The results are remarkable.

  • I feel that there are structural things that even conditioning cannot correct, but I do feel that you should never stop correcting the small things because they will make a difference even if it is small,... look at Rebecca, she continues to get better year after year!

  • ..resulting in a Rebecca Bross type look.

i believe the problem isn't in the size of the quad but in the knee joint. is this normal for young athletes? 5-6. is it a situation where they will "grow into their knees".??

or is there some specific type of leg strengthening i should be doing? none-the-less we do alot of leg tightening throughout our training.

was wondering if you had any tips..

    thnx

  • Hi. i don't know if you've come across this in any of your gymnasts, but a couple of my pre comps have what seems to be one knee slightly over lapping the other. If asked to place the knees side by side they are not able to get their ankles together. and if asked to place ankles together one knee overlaps the other (the way the arch of a foot lies on top of an Orthotic).

Coaches have told me train the knees side by side and allow little ankle separation but point big toes together.. ???

  • Hi Jessica, sickled feet drive me crazy! Not a lot you can do it is structural, but doing inner thigh work and squeezing at the heels helps turn out which is where the problem begins. Lots of "butt tucked under" conditioning, stretching the hip flexors and strengthening first position all help.... Good Luck!

  • How do you fix sickled feet? :-)
