Santa Anna loved the Germans himself, he moved them in droves into Texas to bring stability and bring it under control.... though they kinda figured the first step was to get rid of santa anna, but we never said he was a smart man. Today Southern Texas is pretty much sausage and beer stands on one street, tacos and tequila across. then there's the amish......
