well, the UAE doesn't tax corporations, so lot's of foreign corps will move thier headquarters there. all the big skyscrapers will be offices and hotels of foreign companies, and apartments to commidate the foreign employees. the outskirt of city will be natives, the working class. much like newyork, but bigger. from there a new military industrial complex will arise. pretty cool huh?

I agree that it is a very nice city as far as buildings and other stuff goes. I also agree that there are a lot of stuff to do at Dubai. But in my opinion the city lacks culture and character.

True, I still prefer New York, Paris or any other big city just due to the fact that apart from all these modern things what is there, this city has no history, no culture, I doubt the inhabitants are even from the area.

yea.. 25% of the worlds cranes are in Dubai, so it is the worlds largest construction site.. soon to have the laragest amusment park, and the tallest building ever made.
