All that is pleasurable makes man do good and bad. Now u don't have to be always worried abt this bad things that pleasure brings coz God is there to save you. But still churches preach people not to get pleasure of bad sins in a much amplified way coz they want people to be good which will result in making the world a better place to live.
What is your question? It does not seem like you appreciate rules, standards, guidelines or being obedient. You seem to want to create your own standards, and rules and do as you please. God gives rules to protect us. Example. Do not commit adultry. Sex outside marriage results in disease, broken trust in the marriage bond and many other problems. God knew this and gave rules. For those who want to disobey, they run the risk of problems. Trust in God and be obedient.
This question is not very good. Beginning to see these questions may be a waste of time... You're blaming God for not preventing mankind from sinning? Well, you wanted a free will, you got it.
Wait, if Adam and Eve were made, BY GOD, naked and were punished for clothing themselves and eating the forbidden fruit (the sin), are Clothed Christians sinning?
@lorthin123 Well, I'm not Christian but I know what the typical response Christians would give. Adam and Eve didn't know what sin was before they ate from the fruit of knowledge. They could not sin even if they even wanted to because they couldn't even conceive of sinful ideas. Now that humans are sinful by nature we must prevent ourselves from being tempted towards sin and that is why Adam and Eve put on clothes and that is why Christians wear clothes. But the story is bullshit in other ways.
The only reason married couples had kids EVERY time they had sex was because there was no protection back then. If we didn't have the nerve endings, we wouldn't want to do it anyway. And the reason sin is usually pleasurable is because God is testing our faith and giving us the ability to control what we do.
pt3,,,and your incorrect,,,anything in the marriage bed is lawful,,,having sex with your wife 10 times a day is fine,,,have any kind of kinky sex u want,,,as long as its in the marriage bed and you dont add others,,,where in the world did you attend church ,,,,I just gat angry bc whoever your pastor was needs to be fired,,,uuuh
pt2 GOD set an order to our lives,,,he gave us marriage - man and woman to become one fleshand theres a reason for it,,,so children are loved and taken care of and families have one another,,,these are blessings fr GOD. But man abuses the gifts GOD gives,,,GOD asks us not to steal bear false witness against others love our parents love him, keep one day holy are these things really that hard on you? gov gives u thousands of laws u obey them all w no prob ,,,but u wine ab GODs law why?
pt 1 stop right there,,,GOD isnt the author of sin,,,I watch your vids and just shake my head because this mindset you have is totally incorrect reagarding christianity,,,man brought sin into the world,,,u want to blame someone blame yrself,,,this is the problem men are proud sinners,,,we were created to glorify GOD not ourselves,,,and most things are lawful he provided you woman so you could take a wife but thats not good enough men want to screw dozens leave their kids steal lie and cheat
why do people think only the church is wrong, only the bible is right.... why blame religious leaders for getting the bible wrong? hell even the bible says beware the LYING pens of the SCRIBES. so who do you suppose wrote the bible? court clerks? no... scribes. who dictated it to the scribes? r e l i g i o u s l e a d e r s
You are again confusing Church doctrine with God. It is all about control. If you can control what people do in the privacy of their own homes, if you can control people's most intimate parts of their lives you can control every bit of them. And that's what the church strives to do. You are just not supposed to cheat! That's what adultery is, cheating. The 7 deadly sins? Made up by a guy who thought he had the right to speak for God. I'm sure he and God had a little chat about that blasphemy.
So your saying if lie to someone, or rape someone's daughter, or murder someone...it's alright...because it's pleasurable? Sin isn't pleasurable. When I'm walking with God any sin I commit is like a stab in the heart. It's only when we are separated from God and when the devil tricks us that we think that it is pleasurable. And often times it has consequences. As for sex: God doesn't say sex is a sin. It's for a man and his wife. Out side of that it usually has consequences.
sin comes with the sin nature. without the sin nature we wouldn't want to rape people. Sex is a gift for the married saints. lust is a terrible sin. it is only pleasurble to the unsaved to the saved it is horrible because we love and respect ourselves as God loves us. We are given a new heart and a new nature it is called the devinde nature. life is much much more forfilling without sin. though one is without sin completely but its good to have less of it
Funny. By your own logic, you just became one of those angry point the finger religious guys like the Pharisees and Extremist Fundamentalist Christians that you try so hard to question. Nowhere does it say in the Bible that sex is only for procreation. It does however dedicate an entire book, Song of Solomon, to pleasuring each other within heterosexual marriage. It's about living within His bounds you know?
he did, simply for us to have hurdles. no runners or someone who is successful have been through hard times, and thats what you call, resistance to temptations,..
like, if you want that six-pack abs, its pleasurable to eat and eat and eat even the unhealthy ones, but you see, you wouldn't reach those abs if you OVEREAT. God would never want to spoon feed us.
2) No sin is pleasurable if you are in full communion with God's will ( although admittedly, no one is quite there yet, but we can try to get as close as we can)
3) Sex is not a sin, nor is pleasure or sexual pleasure a sin if used correctly (I.E within marriage)
4) Are you suggesting that it is pleasureable to hurt people? because the last time I tried, I got no pleasure out of it.
@blackoutninja God made Satan who made sin then. Even if we disregard that, is God powerless to change the "sin" that Satan apparently created? Or does he just choose not to because he wants us to be lead to Satan?
@snuzzlebumble God is not quote 'powerless' on any level, that's the entire idea of omnipotence- Firstly If you were familiar with Christian estachology (the study of the end times) you'd know that God IS going to change sin as he will destroy satan and purge the world of all evil to create a new world to be ruled over by Christ; secondly the reason God didn't destroy sin in the first place is because it was our responasibilty- God wants us to take responsibility for our abuse of human freewill.
@blackoutninja Yes which is my point, if he was omnipotent, he could very well change anything in an instant. And how is sin our responsibility? Sin is just a list of certain things God does not want you to do, so he could of just made us more inclined to do his will without actually turning us into robots to do so. And "our abuse" of freewill? How did we abuse it? Is not using it the way he wants abuse? If so, it was never really freewill to begin with.
@snuzzlebumble i'm aware that God could change everything- that's not to say he WOULD change everything; second, sin is not just a list of things God does not want us to do, it is the objective moral standard by which the universe is and will be judged, it is this standard that stipulates that it is wrong to murder, rape, steal etc so yes, not doing God's will is abuse of freewill- you're talking as if one can simly say to God "well thats just your opinion", which, assuming he exists, you can't
@blackoutninja Okay then, it is the second option I said, he just doesn't want to change anything, which is malevolent. Sin is a list of things, all it is, is an arbitrary set of rules to live by. That would include things like rape and murder. Okay so god gave us free will. But we have to use that free will to follow exactly what he says or we get punished. How is that TRUE free will? It's not, it's an illusion of free will. If using it is abusing it, then there was never free will at all.
@snuzzlebumble But if we understood God then we'd WANT to follow his will, which is all Good and just. it's not being forced on anyone, so it is free will. and to your first point- God chooses not to change Absolutely everything (he intervenes quite a lot actually, but I don't think you want to see it) because it's our fault that bad things happen to us, and we have to take responsability for this.
@blackoutninja "it is the objective moral standard by which the universe is"
No actiaully god based morality is merely moral relativism, as the morality is only whatever the being wants at the moment. That's not objective, that is in fact relative to the whims of one being.
@blackoutninja Hardly, no being could be outside of all time and effect anything. You could say it was outside of our time, but not its own. What is time but the progression of events? If a being has no time, it's not thinking, it's not moving, its not capable of affecting anything period as anything it did would constitute time.
As for changing ones mind, it constantly contradicts itself throughout the bible. One moment it's though shalt not kill, the next he's ordering mass genocides and
@humanistheart God's outside-of-time ness is not something that humans can comprhend, I was merely trying to point out that God is not a moment-to-moment being like we mortals. secondly, show me a biblical contradiction and I will try my hardest to find a reasonable refutation, many of which I already know- which leads me to my next point- that A) it's "thou shalt no murder" not Kill, there's a distinction in the original hebrew, and B) God has the right to kill, as the giver of life he reserves
@blackoutninja Time ness? No, a being could possibly be outside our space time but could not affect anything without time. After all, what do you describe the passing of events between his thoughts or actions if not 'time'?
You were trying for a symantical argument that didn't' quite work out for you. No harm done, now you know not to make the time argument. Also putting him outside of time eliminates free will so not a great way to go anyway.
@blackoutninja The paradox of being all knowing and all powerful. If a being is all knowing it also knows it's own actions, everything it would ever do say or think. For example the flood. If it were real this being would have known it would flood the world at that point prior to it being flooded, long before. So when it came to the time it would know it was going to flood the world, it had no choice but to flood it. It could not choose to do otherwise, like not drowning babies and others.
@blackoutninja Because if it could choose to do something else than, something other the flood which it always knew it would do, than it would be doing something it didn't know it would do and thus would not be all knowing. But if it cannot choose to do something else, than there's an unlimited number of things it cannot do, and if cannot do something it is not all powerful. Thus they are mutually exclusive terms. It also eliminates free will.
@humanistheart but god knowing everything also knows what he will do as well as what he could do, but his will is eternal and does not change, it's not that he couldn't do something else, it's that he wouldn't do something else. also I might add that you misunderstand omnipotence, it does not stipulate that God can do anything, that would imply that God could create logical contradicitions, such as a 'square circle' which is obviously impossible, it simply means God has limitless power.
@blackoutninja "but his will is eternal and does not change" It changes constantly in the scriptures.
"that he couldn't do something else, it's that he wouldn't do something else." If he cannot do anything but what he knows he will do, it's a limitation. That means he's not omnipotent.
Also, you realize it's been 3 months since your last response don't you? Why now?
@blackoutninja What do you call a being that gives something then takes it back? That's not even legal in most societies, so no offense but that's a rather unethical argument.
At any rate, if you translate it don't murder than one must consider that murder is a term connected with the societies laws. So in that case who's laws o you go by, and why?
Either way, it wouldn't change the already given example of contradiction, in which its said children would not be punished for their parents,
A) I'm sorry I don't understand this comment. gives/takes what back? which armgument are you refering to here
B) I live my life by God's law (God's law says that I must submit to authorities, so I also live by societal law but secondary to the law of God) because God and his laws are above man and his laws, as well as being the universal standard of morality.
C) I will look into this particular contradiction, but it would help if you had a biblical reference.
@blackoutninja "because God and his laws are above man and his laws, as well as being the universal standard of morality." One immoral beings opinions cannot be the 'standard of morality', as we've already covered.
@humanistheart (cont.) he reserves the right to take it- human life does not belong to humanity, it belongs to its maker, God, and so if he chooses to takr it for his own purposes he may do so.
@humanistheart and in response to the 'stubbon person' argument- that is flawed simply because such an individual is in no way remotely comparable to God, who is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient (the most important one: as God cannot be stubbon in this sense if he knows everything there is to know) ; also to be noted is that God is the creator of the universe, a stubborn individual is just that, a fallible human, but God owns all that exists and thus all that exists is relative to him.
@blackoutninja As for the stubborn person the point remains, never changing your mind is not, in any way, a bases for one to be objective, it just means one never changes one's mind on their opinions, which as already shown doesn't apply to your god in the first place.
"who is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient "
Those are in fact mutually exclusive terms. Together they make a paradox, not unlike the old rock question.
@humanistheart A) God never changes his mind because he doesnt need to; people change their minds for reasons such as they don't know everything, or they feel differently about something, whatever. the point is is that humans have nature subject to that of the universe, whereas God transcends the universe and so his nature is unchanging.
@blackoutninja "God never changes his mind because he doesnt need to" Christian doctrine and the hebrew scriptures suggest otherwise.
"whereas God transcends the universe and so his nature is unchanging."
That doesn't follow. You assume if things could be outside our universe it would mean they couldn't change, but there's no reason to assume that would be true. That's quite a leap in logic.
@blackoutninj infanticides. Going from don't kill to kill in mass is a change. Also you might find this interesting: "Ezekiel 18:20 The soul who sins is the one who will die. The son will not share the guilt of the father, nor will the father share the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous man will be credited to him, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against him."
This says children will not be killed for their parents deeds, yet the biblical god orders children...
@blackoutninja killed in mass quite often. That's a change, or a contradiction, which doesn't help your point.
And finally, something not changing would not in any way make it objective. Take the most stubborn person you know. Imagine they never change their mind no matter what evidences or reason is levied at them. Is that being objective? No, that's just being stubborn and jerkish.
@blackoutninja "God didn't create sin, satan created sin"
Sin is just whatever this 'god' (calling your god God is like calling your dog Dog by the way) doesn't care for at the moment, so yeah god creates sin.
A) I already explained to you that God by defenition is not a fallible changeable being, even if you scrap the 'outside of time' thing, so in fact you're just being the stubborn one and dodging my points rather than refuting them
B) Why does it concern you how I spell/pronounce God? Do you want to stop me from venerating my object of worship?
@blackoutninja "I already explained to you that God by defenition is not a fallible changeable being," He changes his mind, and if you think he exists boy howdy has he fucked up, so fallible for sure. If you accept that your time analogy is flawed, than you have made no other assertion so how am I being the stubborn one?
Just pointing out how silly it is. How about you guys give your god a proper name and avoid the confusion?
Sex is not sin? sex and fornication out of marriage is a sin, because its not for love, or creating life. both good. sex out of wedlock can cause lots of problems though cant it. God made sex pleasurable, because hes cool. its a bonus, so procreating is fun. You got soo much confused about who & what God is about.
Sin is pleasurable cos thats the only way to know who's resisting it cos they love God and his commandments. sin is the measure by which the "sheep are separated from the goats" lol if sin wasnt pleasureable everyone would be righteous but that doesnt mean they love God
@azuperman01 My friend...God created sex. It is His good idea. And nowhere does His word say it is only for procreation. 1 Corinthians 7:5 goes in quite another direction in urging believers to do not deny each other sex. Song of Solomon extols the joys of intimacy. His only stipulation is that we use it responsibly (in marriage). As for the other things you mentioned, I think you would have a hard time convincing people that murdering and lying are pleasurable and noble pastimes.
Also azsuperman, the Bible does not promote the idea that sex is 'only' for reproduction. Passages like 1 Cor 7 demonstrates that prudish ideas about sex have no place in the life of a believer. There are boundaries yes, as in marriage. But, the Bible makes clear that spouses are not to deprive one another of sexual pleasure. And nowhere within the scriptures does God micro-manage what goes on in the bedroom. :)
So, before anyone thinks that sin is better than Eden let me remind you of something. It's a well known fact that negative social climates and nutritional deficits adversely affect sexual health. Living in a violent, selfish, angry world has actually diminished our ability to acheive sexual arousal until we resort to things like pornography and medication to get a rise out of ourselves anymore. Pollution and poor nutrition also contributes. No, we do Not have better pleasure with sin.
Well the answer to the question is this - God didn't make sin. The ability to feel pleasure comes from God, and He called it "Very Good" in Genesis. The only limitation He put on humans at the beginning was to not eat of a particular tree. Now, don't get ahead of yourself and assume by what I said that the first humans were anything like we are today. Meaning - they were not perverse. They had no desire for evil things. Rather, the Bible is clear what sin produced - exclusion from Eden - death.
You do not understand sex. Yes part of it is to reproduce but even in Prov it says to rejoice in the wife of thy youth and my her BREASTS satisfy thee at all times.
@azsuperman01 When did God create sin? It is the devil who introduced sin into the world. God retaliated by introducing salvation. Premarital, meaningless sex may 'feel good', but tell me why prostitues are so shunned upon, even by non-believers. They should be the pinnacle of our society, giving the worlds what they want. please tell me if HIV/AIDS, gonnorhea, and all their friends are very appealing to you.
I've never in all my experience heard anything so ludicrous, ridicules, and just down right stupid.
I make no apologies for what I'm saying here, as a Christian to another so called ex-Christian I have every right to say to you that your off the wall crazy, which reminds me, that's exactly like Lucifer, he was and is crazy for thinking that he could be like or better than God.
Anyone that falls your bull shit is as lost as you are.
Oh and your videos, I couldn't look at you I just listened.
@ebilly99 I don't know where you get the idea or how you read into something that doesn't say at all what your seeing or saying or reading. Try opening both of your eyes when reading comments made on here so you get it right.
The foolishness in people on this youtube is just mind boggling. You only see what you want to see and you only hear want you want to hear. Well, there's a lot of the blind leading the blind, keep walking towards that cliff, maybe you might not fall off.
@ebilly99 God created angels and humans and gave them the freedom to choose. So here for what it's worth, read.
Genesis1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Genesis1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
@ebilly99 God created humans to have freedom to choose, free will. He did not create robots but humans to think for themselves, to have an intellect, but also to be spiritual. This was a gift from God given to us.
The angels also have this gift but also have powers that go beyond what we have and that is because they live and or exist in the spirit realm.
Satan was created as the most beautiful angel and before his fall his name was Lucifer. This went to his head and he became proud.
@ebilly99 So Satan became proud and wanted to be God, and this caused his fall and exile from heaven, and he convinced many other angels to think his way, and they also fell from heaven.
As for pleasure, it's another gift from God, but it's in how you use pleasure that makes the difference. Now if your talking about sex, it is a gift from God that is for the pleasure between a man and a woman in matrimony, where the two become one in marriage.
@ebilly99 Sex in marriage is the emotion where a man and a woman show their love for each other through this beautiful act that is done in total privacy between the couple. The desire for each other creates this beauty and is done because they truly love each other and lose one another in themselves where nothing else exist except the two of them in love. The other purpose of course is to have children to continue the human race that God created.
@ebilly99 Having children to love and to raise in a moral and healthy upbringing teaching them to love God and to have love and respect for themselves and their family. Sad to say that is something that's becoming a rare occurrence these past years and days.
Christianity is all about love, but humans like to distort Christianity, and the devil's influence is behind it all, and he just takes and enjoys his type of pleasure in it all. If only people would realize, the battle is spiritual.
@ebilly99 And that the devil does exist, and he has but just a little time left to deceive the world before being cast into hell with all of those that chose to follow him. So that he will not be able to tempt any and Christ will set up His Kingdom here on earth.
But of course mankind is and will be stubborn and don't want to believe in their true Creator, so let them choose for themselves the route they want to take. But to them that are awake and know the truth they choose wisely.
The love making continues throughout the day by the things you do for each other, in the ways that you help each other in the everyday things that make up a relationship.
We were designed to have one marriage, one husband or wife. In sickness and in health until death do we part.
All your doing is distorting the whole marriage and sexual part. you are a very sick puppy, and your sickness comes right out of the mindset of Satan. Your here to divide and conquer for the glory of the evil one.
Your distorted views make me laugh and want to puke at the same time.
You have a very distorted mind at the way you explain the creation of God. God intended that a man and a woman become one when they marry, that means no sex until they are married. Than the sexual union of a man and a woman is a beautiful union in complete privacy between the two of them where they both share their love for each other in the physical. But the love relation, the love making does not stop there.
I've trad also about this hymen thing in a girl vagina. It is structured to cause pain at intercourse. My penis is probably 6 or 7 inch cause it' without the balls counted and again, even that size is gigantic to women and cause pain base on their structure!
My answer to this question is the logic. It is that the pleasure is used for the greatness of procreation. As you agree that rape and adultery (both often crimes) but they are objective to the action sex. That's THAT. Now don't ever confuse it! Rape is not pleasurable, it's violence and through consequences, adultery also causes you to hurt your family, friends and also divorce. I'll be viewed a sick person as they found my crimes with multiple women and there's plague of std's!!!
@greenlanternjmp fornication, adultery, lust, etc is sin, but I use rhythm method with my WIFE...
The difference is that rhythm method takes abstinence approach or the few times a month. Condom promotes all types of lusts even outside marriage and they put flavors on it for blow job which I believe unethical. SO!!!!
Ok, first of all, Sex feels good because it was part of God's original design. Sin is what perverts it into something that is "casual need" or something like taking a pee. Sex is a beautiful thing that unites two people and creates emotional bonds. It is meant to be between only one man and one woman to strengthen their bond and create one flesh when they've been joined together in God's eyes through marriage. Now, lying, stealing and other things? Mostly it's just being selfish.>>>
@Masqueradia Which was also introduced into human mind when they ate the fruit of the tree of knowledge of Good and Evil. These things are usually temporarily pleasurable, followed by guilt or/and a lacking of satisfaction, only to begin the process all over again. Lying leads to more lies, stealing leads to more stealing... etc, until you're so covered in it that you develop a sort of callus on your conscience that says, "hey... this is kinda fun. And I'm not dead yet." Again, a flesh response.
@CasketsOfCarnage88 Notice that sin is not the same as wrong in any way. What kind of being punishes people for merely doing things he doesn't like? Oh right, a sadistic tyrant.
@humanistheart YEAH DUDE! Like - Here u go folks, i love u sooo much u r in my image and i give u FREE will, do whatever u please!! But FRIGGIN HECK if u dare to do THIS list of things that i absolutely FORBID u, u will all go to HELL!!..oh, and dont forget, i love u so FUCKING MUCH!! Not only Sadistic tyrant man, but also totally schitzophrenic!
#9 You are commended for remarkable restraint so far, keep up the good work we'll be checking your breath.. By one man Sin entered the world & death by sin. God didn't make sin feel good. SATAN did.Bible "There is pleasure in sin for a season." ( we long for sin season & LEEKS & GARLIC c of Egypt) He says those he loves he chastens. (GOD chastens). "If we say we have no sin, we make him a liar & the truth is not in us. " We are to try to not to sin. We get stronger. GOOD.YUM
@HALLELUZZ777 Actually in the original religion, the religion of the hebrew people and in it's modern form Judaism, Satan was nothing but a servant of god, in fact he's referred to as a child of god who only makes one single appearance in the hebrew bible, in Job in which he can do NOTHING without god's permission. So if Satan did make sin pleasurable it could only be at the command of your god. Well the jewish god anyway, you seem to have a different god.
Superman, that is a good question but are you sure God made it pleasurable? Is it possible that Satan made it pleasurable? If you are sure, please let me know how you are so certain that God made it pleasurable and not Satan.
I can't answer this question since I do not agree with you on it validity. Provide some validity and I will attempt to answer the question.
@MrChristianBeliever yeah..satan made it pleasurable by placing a penis in adam after he was formed from the clay, and then he gave eve a vagina with a clit after god had broken a rib off adam and made her..otherwise, gods unholy intention was just miracle births via his blessing in style of the virgin mary, and dudes like the three wise men were going to deliver via cecarian, so as not to even suggest that there ever was a hint of a hole between the legs of a woman. Pleasure? way 2 good 2 b tru
sin doesn't at first feel right. we were actually given a conscience which first tell us that things are actually WRONG but we suppress our conscience. it doesn't speak in English. It is clearly a feeling that you are doing something that is possibly wrong as a child and you CAN supress the moral conscience.
Clearly God knew that we would be tempted by the pleasures of sin after the fall of humankind. The foresight was in knowing far more than I can explain in 500 words, let alone ever since
(cont.)such "isolation" on specific reasons is over-analyzing.
the Apocrypha actually answers this question in Esdras. In order to have rewards (and this is just ONE of many CONNECTED reasons which can not be isolated on) we were created for "battle." We battle the world, the flesh and the devil (unclean deceiving spirits). Sin often has a temporary pleasure or immediate gratification which allows us to DEMONSTRATE how much we love God by rejecting it. We have to battle our own flesh.
God was NEVER lonely. That is a human imperfection. To believe that the Infinite Creator was somehow "lonely" would be to apply the concept of "waiting" or time/space restriction and an experience of duration which would ignore Atemporal/transcendent/omni-time/infinite at all points of N (t) on an infinite x,y,z 3 dimensional cartesian point system. It would be as defaming as claiming that the ONLY reason God created is because the Infinite Creator knew it was better to give than to receive
Before someone nitpicks at this I clearly should have said "that is a human
quality or experience." Imperfection here is an imperfect use of the word since
someone will claim Adam was lonely...God created Adam 'good' (perfection is a word which can misapply to a being who needs to learn so clearly we will have equivocation of the english word 'perfect' and how it relates to Adam and Eve or our learning experience in this present temporary creation
Part 2... So God created the universe because he was lonely, or another way of thinking is that he was bored, because being singular, perfect, and all powerful is very lonely, or boring. Basically consciousness is what drives existence, nothing happens without some form of consciousness, so to must be how existence got here in the first place.
You are so dumb its not even funny. Well, I did laugh a bit, but then I realized you were serious. Righteousness without reason is foolish. We can't just have God hold our hand and make sure we don't do anything bad. God created things with purpose and reason and free will. you said why wouldn't he have made sin a painful or uncomfortable thing so we don't do it. But whats the point in that. All conscious action is taken as a result in a lacking of something. God was lonely, so he created
Since you are apparently blaming God for all the pain, suffering and destruction, then you must believe in Him, and you are upset because you can't enjoy the pleasure you so desire without fearing the consequences. This is conviction. Why are you feeling convicted and why are you blaming a God you dont believe in? You are condradicting the very fundamentals of your argument.
Why follow after pleasure when Joy is everlasting. Good things come to those who wait.
@alight4jc That's unbelievably stupid. People point out things in context to get believers to open their eyes. For example, nothing in the bibles ever actually happened but I can say, in the bible, this god commits mass genocide, slavery, infanticide, rape, and child abuse. Then ask, what kind of being rapes women? A bad one. It's in the context of the fictional bible. YOU for some reason would than say, oh you must believe it's true! LOL
@humanistheart Why do you persecute people for their beliefs. Don't get me wrong, I am not here to tell you what you should believe. You clearly have your mind made up about that. I can however, say that I care for you as an individual and that I wish you could experience what I have.
Again, not here to convert you, just wishing you could understand why we believe in God. It's not a blind faith like some would say. I can't tell you how many prayers God has answered. It's all good. :)
@alight4jc "I can't tell you how many prayers God has answered. It's all good. :" First of all, you're prayers have not been answered. People ask so many things, eventually something will happen that they ask for and then you call it an answer, but ignore all the many many many times things don't work out. It's sad.
Second of all, all good? So you think raping women is all good? Mass genocide or infanticide is good? Child abuse is good? That's pretty sick.
Romans 4:15 - because the LAW brings about wrath; for where there is NO LAW there is NO transgression.
Only the Old Covenant Jews were under the Law.... and Adam... but since Christ rose and Jerusalem was destroyed in AD70... NO one has been under Law and thereby, no one has sinned!
2 Corinthians 5:19 even states that God has not been counting sin against anyone... for the last 2,000 years!
The church system may hold sin against people, but God does not!
Why I believe most "sins" feel so pleasurable is because He wants us
to enjoy those things (lemme finish) but not as much as we enjoy Him.
A lot of the "small sins" that are so "damning" fall back to loving God more than anything else. (inB4: "I love anal sex," but I don't love it nor worship it like i would love and worship God).
Love God& Love People are what matters
I'm gonna hi-5 God for making sex feel good when I meet Him, you're gonna be there too man, might as well say hi to Him.
@paulwall5150 "a lot of the "small sins" that are so "damning" fall back to loving God more than anything else."
A supposedly all powerful being is so concerned with being liked if you don't love him more than anything else he'll torture you for all eternity? And of course he's not in anyway obligated to love us, unless you think one can lovingly commit mass genocide, and infanticide, and slavery, and the raping of women. And you don't see a problem with that?
I cant belive people come on watching athiest videos try to rant of chapters from the bible when the bible is on big contridiction of itself god aparently created the universe and everything in it and is all powerful but yet he allows sin to be plesurable while all the stuff that is good for us and expected of us is boring and tedious and sometimes difficult and inconveniant?? catch yourself of preachers.
Christians havew always agered me becuase of their platent stupidity or is it fear??
I'm sorry but your questions are completely stupid... I'm going to stop watching your videos now... When I watch your video all i can think about is how dry you are and how you have zero imagination when reading the bible... it also seems like instead of reading the bible page by page you skip stories and steps and context clues... you have no ground to stand on for yourself when asking these tasteless questions.
not all sinning feels good.....if you sin u'r just practicing free will....u may have consequences in this life ... once again christ redeemed the entire planet....sin does not effect our relationship with god-- it does effect our relationship with one another in this life
This was actually one of satans arguments. Well lets look at todays society: You have sex-you get AIDS,you get pregnant and conveniently abort the fetus (compliments of Planned Parenthood and the American People, for paying for Obamacare),You begin to explore anal sex which is a mixture of pleasure and __. , Psycologists believe that pornography is the leading cause of rape, statutory rape, incest and other sexual obsessions. Sure it sucks that unholy sex is a sin, but people are irresponsable.
@truth1920 you are comparing america's laws and epidemics to your gods words. pornography... you do realize ancient egyptians had their version of porn before christianity existed right? It's not like pornography and those ideas just appeared after playboy took off.. Obviously if the first recorded civilization were enticed by a womans body to the extent they felt the need to symbolize it while conducting their slave labor we will be as well.. It's natural. No god told us we should. We just do.
GOD DIDNT MAKE SIN. thats satans creation. and where in the bible does it say that sex is only for procreation? i would love to see that one.
1 corinthians 5 Do not deprive one another except with consent for a time, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again so that Satan does not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.
Actually I am going to help you out a bit. If you read in the Garden of Eden, God told them not to eat of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Now Eve when she was being tempted looked upon the tree and saw that it was pleasing to the eye. So you could say why didn't God make the tree and its fruit ugly and nasty.
Another silly question. Doing things cause they feel good is stupid. You don't like going to work but you do to survive. I'd love to stay at home and do my own thang but my butt will be on the streets. You don't just run over and hump your next door neighbors wife because it'll feel good. God said it is wrong. And if you do it is not God unloading his sawed off' shotgun into your backside. It'll be her husband. Don't you know that people actually eat scat. Look around you and see the ravages of
@TheSkymega mans lust for the wrong thing. Look at the sexual deseases from people exercising thier free will to 'feel good'. They know they can get aids but do it any way. Or go and get strung out on drugs knowing it will destroy thier lives. These punishments comes as a direct result of your sins. God didn't lift a finger. He actually told you in advance not to do it. Tanning is fun but get sun burned and you want to blame God. Sheesh. Another stupid question! Next!
this poor man wants God to write him personal messages explaining the obvious it seems.
Sin, such as Adultery, will have "Real Life" Ramifications Far worse than slamming you finger in a door in most circumstances...albeirt a different kind of suffering.
Coveting the possessions of others, for example, we cause you to develop a hard heart and become depressed and seek drugs and alcohol.
Sin has Far worse, long term pain/misery than a simple door slam or eating faeces.
none of these are tough questions for christians, they are tough for those who do not have faith. for myself i do not have to have the answers to all lifes questions to know that GOD IS REAL. GOD has done amazing things in my life, even when i fail. areyou honestly asking these question because you want to know what christian's anwsers are?it is so hard to explain color to a peson who lives in darkness and it is even harder to explain faith to someone that does not really care to know.
First god didnt make sin, you commit sin, So tell me this, is it right to rape a woman or a child even though to the rapist it feels good or they woulnt do it? If not why do people do that? Clearly all of humanity is wicked evil and sinfull and needs saving. Is it right to cheat on your wife or divorse her hurthing your children? Wickedness
Is it right to go out partying and sleep with a girl and make her pregnant then not be around to support her needs? Wicked sinfullness. REPENT!
@1onetheone Answer me this then; Where is the child's and the woman's free choice come in?! God could stop it and would if it were not for him wanting the rapist to have free choice??!! Boy..., what a loving, nuturing and benevolent god he is. PLEASE!
@1onetheone Either you truly are deluded or you are just missing the point. I'm going to pray (NOT to jesus or some man made god!) that it's the latter! My QUESTION is..., where does the young child or innocent woman's free choice come in? Just because the sicko rapist gets HIS free choice, where are the women's free rights to say no?!
@crazy4carolyn The rapist will pay the price of his sin in hell for ever if he doesnt repent, Because he took away the free choice of the woman. How do I know this? Simply because Jesus said that all who practice immorallity will have their place in the lake of fire, So the rapist needs to repent!
@1onetheone Well that's just fine and dandy for the rapist. He'll get to change his mind and end up in heaven. Now, what if the young lady, because of her trauma (I tke it you've heard of PTSD?) decides "#%$@ god! Because of all the things he had happen to me" Yet, she never does anything dishonarable to another person..., I guess that the rapist ends up in an eternal bliss while she suffers because of what "god" had allowed her to suffer, for another man's right to "free will"?! Help me out??!
@crazy4carolyn Will he change his mind and repent? then will he apologize and do good? Hmm lets hope for his sake, Think of the wicked theif that hung on the cross next to JEsus, he belived and was saved. Now if these wicked people have belived why dont you believe who has lesser sins than these meaning it should be easier for you to believe shoulnt it?!! Jesus is for the wicked and if they repent they too will live holy lives and help others as Jesus did.
@1onetheone But we all have a free choice to belive in Jesus hey!!
If the wicked are getting into the kingdom, including prostitutes and thiefs why dont you repent and belive also!! It would look bad on your woulnt it? If these wicked people accepted JEsus for their sins and then became EX SINNERS but you didnt belive and continued to sin, Dont be decieved JEsus is for everyone.
@crazy4carolyn Yes god made all things including satan, So you need to take your questions to God Almighty on why he let you choose to be good and just or sinfull and wicked hurthing other people like we all have chosen to do at some time in our lives (me included) Also ask him why he sent his only son to pay for your sins so you dont have to. and ALL THE WORLD if only they belived in him!!
@1onetheone I took my questions to god for years! (I'll be 47 this month!) and NEVER got an answer! Oh sure, I could contort some verse in the bible to fit my circumstances. But, I can do the same w/ Naustradamus! Do your own research! I don't claim that I have the answers! (Unlike the authors of the bible!) I just have enough info to convince me that the bible and ALL religions are a MAN-MADE thing!
@crazy4carolyn Thats because you dont have any faith whatsoever in God, when i sought god with a sincere heart he spoke to me and revealed the truth to me. The authors of the bible were eye witnessess and prophets of God so you have NO excuse not to believe. Why dont you have faith in the salvation offered you and leave your sin? How silly will you look if prostitutes and thiefs are enterering the kingdom and you dont!! In their wickedness they saw the truth and saw they were sinners!!
@crazy4carolyn What I am saying is always what Jesus said, That he who belives will be saved, Why dont you belive? Why is that so hard that you cant see you are a sinner and repent and live holy? Why is it so hard?
because god wanted us to break free from this urge. he wanted us to become better than human. to become godlike. to break free from this foolish passion we have and to become perfect. if we overcome 'pleasurable sin' we are overcoming our humn passions
Because we, as humans, we have a sinful nature. Our flesh enjoys sinning. That is why sin is "pleasurable", because it feels good to our entirely evil flesh.
@azsuperman01 Satan, and then when he tempted eve in the garden he passed it on. God is not the author of sin, but he allows it because it is His will and the outcome will eventually glorify Him.
@chrisalsup19 Satan created the flesh? You need to study up on Bible basics. Gen 2:7 "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul"
Please explain how death, pain, destruction, and suffering will "glorify" God -- and why God's ego is justification enough for said pain, death, and suffering.
@azsuperman01 Do you know the difference between a human and an animal? Choice... Animals have no choice... they act plainly on their sense of pain and pleasure. if it feels good, they do it. if it's nasty, they don't do it again... Humans on the other hand can deny pleasure or choose pain... Why? For a greater purpose... if we go on and on pleasuring ourselves, what difference between an animal and a man is there? It's not a choice of what feels good and what doesnt... it's about good and evil
@azsuperman01 You make a lot sweeping statements about God's intent in your videos that are not accurate. First of all God penalizes us for immorality. The bible does not say that sex is only for reproduction and that we cannot enjoy it. Paul said that marriage is to be esteemed of all and the marriage bed is undefiled, but adulterers and fornicators God will judge. Paul also says that a man and his wife are not to defraud one another except for a specific time for fasting and praying cont.
@azsuperman01 Re: Please explain how death, pain, destruction, and suffering will "glorify" God
Superman, this is a tough question but I am not sure I agree with the word "glorify". Can you please tell me where you get this understanding since I do not share it? I don't believe God is glorified by pain and suffering.
Perhaps you refer to Romans 5:2-3 or some similar verse.
If you want to know more about suffering, google search " The Problem of Suffering Reconsidered By Peter Kreeft ".
@MrChristianBeliever the whole friggin bible is full of pain and suffering and himself murdering everyone and everything he ever supposedly created..have u not READ the book?? how is that NOT GLORIFYING PAIN AND SUFFERING DUDE??
@azsuperman01 That's not what they AND I are saying, we're saying that #1: God makes man. #2: Man is sinless. #3: Satan tempts man (and woman just to clarify) #4: Sin enters world. The devil knows what things are bad for us to do, and what he pretty much did is make us want to do bad. You should read what one of history's most noted scientists has to say about it. Read the book, "The World as I see it"
@azsuperman01 I'm not sure where chrisalsup gets it from that it comes from Satan. The "flesh" means the sinful nature that is inherited from Adam, not the literal body meat that God created. But rather the curse that God justly cast on Adam for his sin. The destruction of the wicked glorifies God as it displays His awful majesty, power, justice and wrath. Rom. 9:22; Isa. 33:12-14. Concering the restriction on sex, it is that it has to be inside of marriage.
@azsuperman01 god created adam and eve perfectly but because of eve falling for the devils temptation then causing adam to brought sin about they diobeyed God therfore he punished them and made it where women have pain when they give birth and stuff and we lost our imortality because of the first sin. now we are born into sin so thats where your logic fails because adam and eve were perfect but then lost that perfection the only truely perfect person was Jesus
Well first of all God didnt make sins. You should really try to answer your questions in advance because the bible in many verses calls Satan the father of sin. So Gos didnt make sin, Satan made it so your question is canceled out. God did purposely have sex extremely pleasurable but for ONLY married couples.
@AZcristian623 Which begs the question, "Who created Satan?" Since God is the creator of everything, wouldn't it be fair to say that he is the source of sin? Don't tell me God had no clue that Satan would be up to no good before he created him because that would be contrary to his omniscience and omnipresence.
@bds8202 God created Satan along with the rest of the entire angelic host. God didn't create sin. God created humans but humans have made porn websites, guns, and torture devices. Does that mean that God is behind it all because he mad humans? Of course not! He simply let all those things occur for a reason. As well as letting Satan be rebellious FOR A REASON. A reason that your blind eyes cannot see or comprehend. God knew Satan from the beginning but let him choose to be rebellious or be holy
@AZcristian623 Which begs the question, "Who created Satan?" Since God created everything in existence, wouldn't it be fair to say he is the source of sin? Don't tell he didn't know Satan would be up to no good before he created him because that would be contrary to his omniscience and omnipresence.
youre taking the religion out of context. christians believe having sex before marriage is wrong, and it is a sin. god made those nerv endings so you could wait until you're married to have sex. love is enjoyable and is a good thing. sex isnt just about pleasure, its also about commitment and creating life. sex is beautiful. its bad when you arent saving yourself for one person.
your videos are not fair. you have to accept the limitations of theists
hilliuno 2 weeks ago
All that is pleasurable makes man do good and bad. Now u don't have to be always worried abt this bad things that pleasure brings coz God is there to save you. But still churches preach people not to get pleasure of bad sins in a much amplified way coz they want people to be good which will result in making the world a better place to live.
yuvanrockstar 3 weeks ago
I'll answer your question with a question of my own: what good is a sacrifice if it isn't really a sacrifice?
SummerSunshine1988 2 months ago
What is your question? It does not seem like you appreciate rules, standards, guidelines or being obedient. You seem to want to create your own standards, and rules and do as you please. God gives rules to protect us. Example. Do not commit adultry. Sex outside marriage results in disease, broken trust in the marriage bond and many other problems. God knew this and gave rules. For those who want to disobey, they run the risk of problems. Trust in God and be obedient.
kimkerchner 2 months ago
This question is not very good. Beginning to see these questions may be a waste of time... You're blaming God for not preventing mankind from sinning? Well, you wanted a free will, you got it.
voldmerot 4 months ago
Wait, if Adam and Eve were made, BY GOD, naked and were punished for clothing themselves and eating the forbidden fruit (the sin), are Clothed Christians sinning?
lorthin123 5 months ago
@lorthin123 Well, I'm not Christian but I know what the typical response Christians would give. Adam and Eve didn't know what sin was before they ate from the fruit of knowledge. They could not sin even if they even wanted to because they couldn't even conceive of sinful ideas. Now that humans are sinful by nature we must prevent ourselves from being tempted towards sin and that is why Adam and Eve put on clothes and that is why Christians wear clothes. But the story is bullshit in other ways.
zippythewildone 5 months ago
The only reason married couples had kids EVERY time they had sex was because there was no protection back then. If we didn't have the nerve endings, we wouldn't want to do it anyway. And the reason sin is usually pleasurable is because God is testing our faith and giving us the ability to control what we do.
emilovesyouxp 5 months ago
@emilovesyouxp You know, a test is to find out something you don't know. If your god was all knowing he wouldn't need to test people.

pt2 GOD set an order to our lives,,,he gave us marriage - man and woman to become one fleshand theres a reason for it,,,so children are loved and taken care of and families have one another,,,these are blessings fr GOD.

@candiceevans1 Sin just means anything this 'god' doesn't happen to care for. Can you think of any more meaningless bases for life?

why do people think only the church is wrong, only the bible is right.... why blame religious leaders for getting the bible wrong? hell even the bible says beware the LYING pens of the SCRIBES. so who do you suppose wrote the bible? court clerks? no... scribes. who dictated it to the scribes? r e l i g i o u s l e a d e r s
GodsArePeopleToo 7 months ago
You are again confusing Church doctrine with God. It is all about control. If you can control what people do in the privacy of their own homes, if you can control people's most intimate parts of their lives you can control every bit of them. And that's what the church strives to do. You are just not supposed to cheat! That's what adultery is, cheating. The 7 deadly sins? Made up by a guy who thought he had the right to speak for God. I'm sure he and God had a little chat about that blasphemy.

Besides, sex has to be pleasurable to insure the survival of a species. You think girls will want to go through pregnancy if sex weren't pleasing?
carson01061995 8 months ago
So your saying if lie to someone, or rape someone's daughter, or murder someone...it's alright...because it's pleasurable? Sin isn't pleasurable. When I'm walking with God any sin I commit is like a stab in the heart. It's only when we are separated from God and when the devil tricks us that we think that it is pleasurable. And often times it has consequences. As for sex: God doesn't say sex is a sin. It's for a man and his wife. Out side of that it usually has consequences.

shunning sin is a lifestyle choice
GOD gives us the freedom to choose
HE warns of the consequences of those choices
HE wants you to love HIM like HE loves you of your own choice
HE rewards you accordingly
regarding sex
there is the physical expression of love for the partner you love which GOD approves of
then there is lust which leads to emotional damage / unloved children and disease
this GOD detests
you may find sin pleasurable but you will pay the price for it ...death

This is one is easy :o
You don't eat your food from the mud, pigs do.
We shouldn't love sin, sinners do.
Schaapjuh 9 months ago
sin comes with the sin nature. without the sin nature we wouldn't want to rape people. Sex is a gift for the married saints. lust is a terrible sin. it is only pleasurble to the unsaved to the saved it is horrible because we love and respect ourselves as God loves us. We are given a new heart and a new nature it is called the devinde nature. life is much much more forfilling without sin. though one is without sin completely but its good to have less of it
MissChaceurz 9 months ago
It's about living within His bounds you know?
mannymtz01 9 months ago
he did, simply for us to have hurdles. no runners or someone who is successful have been through hard times, and thats what you call, resistance to temptations,..
like, if you want that six-pack abs, its pleasurable to eat and eat and eat even the unhealthy ones, but you see, you wouldn't reach those abs if you OVEREAT. God would never want to spoon feed us.
Mhelbuenaventuira 9 months ago
these questions simply show absolutely no knowledge or understanding of Christianity whatsoever.
blackoutninja 9 months ago
1) God didn't create sin, satan created sin
2) No sin is pleasurable if you are in full communion with God's will ( although admittedly, no one is quite there yet, but we can try to get as close as we can)
3) Sex is not a sin, nor is pleasure or sexual pleasure a sin if used correctly (I.E within marriage)
4) Are you suggesting that it is pleasureable to hurt people? because the last time I tried, I got no pleasure out of it.
honestly these questions are far from difficult.
blackoutninja 9 months ago
@blackoutninja God made Satan who made sin then. Even if we disregard that, is God powerless to change the "sin" that Satan apparently created? Or does he just choose not to because he wants us to be lead to Satan?
snuzzlebumble 8 months ago
@snuzzlebumble God is not quote 'powerless' on any level, that's the entire idea of omnipotence- Firstly If you were familiar with Christian estachology (the study of the end times) you'd know that God IS going to change sin as he will destroy satan and purge the world of all evil to create a new world to be ruled over by Christ; secondly the reason God didn't destroy sin in the first place is because it was our responasibilty- God wants us to take responsibility for our abuse of human freewill.
blackoutninja 8 months ago
@blackoutninja Yes which is my point, if he was omnipotent, he could very well change anything in an instant. And how is sin our responsibility? Sin is just a list of certain things God does not want you to do, so he could of just made us more inclined to do his will without actually turning us into robots to do so. And "our abuse" of freewill? How did we abuse it? Is not using it the way he wants abuse? If so, it was never really freewill to begin with.
snuzzlebumble 8 months ago
@snuzzlebumble i'm aware that God could change everything- that's not to say he WOULD change everything; second, sin is not just a list of things God does not want us to do, it is the objective moral standard by which the universe is and will be judged, it is this standard that stipulates that it is wrong to murder, rape, steal etc so yes, not doing God's will is abuse of freewill- you're talking as if one can simly say to God "well thats just your opinion", which, assuming he exists, you can't
blackoutninja 8 months ago
@blackoutninja Okay then, it is the second option I said, he just doesn't want to change anything, which is malevolent. Sin is a list of things, all it is, is an arbitrary set of rules to live by. That would include things like rape and murder. Okay so god gave us free will. But we have to use that free will to follow exactly what he says or we get punished. How is that TRUE free will? It's not, it's an illusion of free will. If using it is abusing it, then there was never free will at all.
snuzzlebumble 8 months ago
@snuzzlebumble But if we understood God then we'd WANT to follow his will, which is all Good and just. it's not being forced on anyone, so it is free will. and to your first point- God chooses not to change Absolutely everything (he intervenes quite a lot actually, but I don't think you want to see it) because it's our fault that bad things happen to us, and we have to take responsability for this.
blackoutninja 8 months ago
@blackoutninja "it is the objective moral standard by which the universe is"
No actiaully god based morality is merely moral relativism, as the morality is only whatever the being wants at the moment. That's not objective, that is in fact relative to the whims of one being.
humanistheart 6 months ago
@humanistheart "whatever the being whats at the moment.."
that's where you are wrong-
1) time is meaningless to God (see 2 Peter 3:8, john 8:58 etc.) so "at the moment" does not apply to God
2) following along the same logic: "God is not a human being, that he should change his mind." (numbers 23:19)
so such a comment is flawed, God's will is eternal and unchanging and is thereby objective.
blackoutninja 6 months ago
@blackoutninja Hardly, no being could be outside of all time and effect anything. You could say it was outside of our time, but not its own. What is time but the progression of events? If a being has no time, it's not thinking, it's not moving, its not capable of affecting anything period as anything it did would constitute time.
As for changing ones mind, it constantly contradicts itself throughout the bible. One moment it's though shalt not kill, the next he's ordering mass genocides and
humanistheart 6 months ago
@humanistheart God's outside-of-time ness is not something that humans can comprhend, I was merely trying to point out that God is not a moment-to-moment being like we mortals. secondly, show me a biblical contradiction and I will try my hardest to find a reasonable refutation, many of which I already know- which leads me to my next point- that A) it's "thou shalt no murder" not Kill, there's a distinction in the original hebrew, and B) God has the right to kill, as the giver of life he reserves
blackoutninja 6 months ago
@blackoutninja Time ness? No, a being could possibly be outside our space time but could not affect anything without time. After all, what do you describe the passing of events between his thoughts or actions if not 'time'?
You were trying for a symantical argument that didn't' quite work out for you. No harm done, now you know not to make the time argument. Also putting him outside of time eliminates free will so not a great way to go anyway.
humanistheart 6 months ago
@humanistheart
I don't quite understand that last point, but you're right, I'll make that particular agrument when I have a better understanding of it, thank you.
I still believe God is outside of time though, I just know not to use it in a debate.
blackoutninja 6 months ago
@blackoutninja The paradox of being all knowing and all powerful. If a being is all knowing it also knows it's own actions, everything it would ever do say or think. For example the flood. If it were real this being would have known it would flood the world at that point prior to it being flooded, long before. So when it came to the time it would know it was going to flood the world, it had no choice but to flood it. It could not choose to do otherwise, like not drowning babies and others.
humanistheart 6 months ago
@blackoutninja Because if it could choose to do something else than, something other the flood which it always knew it would do, than it would be doing something it didn't know it would do and thus would not be all knowing. But if it cannot choose to do something else, than there's an unlimited number of things it cannot do, and if cannot do something it is not all powerful. Thus they are mutually exclusive terms. It also eliminates free will.
humanistheart 6 months ago
@humanistheart but god knowing everything also knows what he will do as well as what he could do, but his will is eternal and does not change, it's not that he couldn't do something else, it's that he wouldn't do something else. also I might add that you misunderstand omnipotence, it does not stipulate that God can do anything, that would imply that God could create logical contradicitions, such as a 'square circle' which is obviously impossible, it simply means God has limitless power.
blackoutninja 3 months ago
This has been flagged as spam show
@blackoutninja "but his will is eternal and does not change" It changes constantly in the scriptures.
"that he couldn't do something else, it's that he wouldn't do something else." If he cannot do anything but what he knows he will do, it's a limitation. That means he's not omnipotent.
Also, you realize it's been 3 months since your last response don't you? Why now?
humanistheart 3 months ago
@blackoutninja What do you call a being that gives something then takes it back? That's not even legal in most societies, so no offense but that's a rather unethical argument.
At any rate, if you translate it don't murder than one must consider that murder is a term connected with the societies laws. So in that case who's laws o you go by, and why?
Either way, it wouldn't change the already given example of contradiction, in which its said children would not be punished for their parents,
humanistheart 6 months ago

@blackoutninja but then in fact that happens a dozen times throughout the hebrew bible or your 'OT' if you prefer.
humanistheart 6 months ago
@humanistheart (cont.) he reserves the right to take it- human life does not belong to humanity, it belongs to its maker, God, and so if he chooses to takr it for his own purposes he may do so.
blackoutninja 6 months ago
@humanistheart and in response to the 'stubbon person' argument- that is flawed simply because such an individual is in no way remotely comparable to God, who is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient (the most important one: as God cannot be stubbon in this sense if he knows everything there is to know) ; also to be noted is that God is the creator of the universe, a stubborn individual is just that, a fallible human, but God owns all that exists and thus all that exists is relative to him.
blackoutninja 6 months ago
@blackoutninja As for the stubborn person the point remains, never changing your mind is not, in any way, a bases for one to be objective, it just means one never changes one's mind on their opinions, which as already shown doesn't apply to your god in the first place.
"who is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient "
Those are in fact mutually exclusive terms. Together they make a paradox, not unlike the old rock question.
humanistheart 6 months ago
@humanistheart A) God never changes his mind because he doesnt need to; people change their minds for reasons such as they don't know everything, or they feel differently about something, whatever. the point is is that humans have nature subject to that of the universe, whereas God transcends the universe and so his nature is unchanging.
B) care to explain what this paradox is then?
blackoutninja 6 months ago
@blackoutninja "God never changes his mind because he doesnt need to" Christian doctrine and the hebrew scriptures suggest otherwise.
"whereas God transcends the universe and so his nature is unchanging."
That doesn't follow. You assume if things could be outside our universe it would mean they couldn't change, but there's no reason to assume that would be true. That's quite a leap in logic.
humanistheart 6 months ago
@blackoutninj infanticides. Going from don't kill to kill in mass is a change. Also you might find this interesting: "Ezekiel 18:20 The soul who sins is the one who will die. The son will not share the guilt of the father, nor will the father share the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous man will be credited to him, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against him."
This says children will not be killed for their parents deeds, yet the biblical god orders children...
humanistheart 6 months ago
@blackoutninja killed in mass quite often. That's a change, or a contradiction, which doesn't help your point.
And finally, something not changing would not in any way make it objective. Take the most stubborn person you know. Imagine they never change their mind no matter what evidences or reason is levied at them. Is that being objective? No, that's just being stubborn and jerkish.

@blackoutninja "God didn't create sin, satan created sin"
Sin is just whatever this 'god' (calling your god God is like calling your dog Dog by the way) doesn't care for at the moment, so yeah god creates sin.

@humanistheart
A) I already explained to you that God by defenition is not a fallible changeable being, even if you scrap the 'outside of time' thing, so in fact you're just being the stubborn one and dodging my points rather than refuting them
B) Why does it concern you how I spell/pronounce God? Do you want to stop me from venerating my object of worship?
blackoutninja 6 months ago

2skullscrushing 9 months ago
short answer for this one:
Sin is pleasurable cos thats the only way to know who's resisting it cos they love God and his commandments. sin is the measure by which the "sheep are separated from the goats" lol if sin wasnt pleasureable everyone would be righteous but that doesnt mean they love God
sweetdietqueen 10 months ago

JoelJW 11 months ago
Well the answer to the question is this - God didn't make sin. The ability to feel pleasure comes from God, and He called it "Very Good" in Genesis. The only limitation He put on humans at the beginning was to not eat of a particular tree. Now, don't get ahead of yourself and assume by what I said that the first humans were anything like we are today. Meaning - they were not perverse. They had no desire for evil things. Rather, the Bible is clear what sin produced - exclusion from Eden - death.

hawaii50th 1 year ago
@hawaii50th Then explain why god made sin pleasurable? Even if say satan did it, why did god allow satan that much power?
ebilly99 1 year ago
@ebilly99 God created angels and humans and gave them the freedom to choose. So here for what it's worth, read.
Genesis1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Genesis1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
hawaii50th 1 year ago
@ebilly99 God created humans to have freedom to choose, free will. He did not create robots but humans to think for themselves, to have an intellect, but also to be spiritual. This was a gift from God given to us.
The angels also have this gift but also have powers that go beyond what we have and that is because they live and or exist in the spirit realm.
Satan was created as the most beautiful angel and before his fall his name was Lucifer. This went to his head and he became proud.
hawaii50th 1 year ago
@ebilly99 So Satan became proud and wanted to be God, and this caused his fall and exile from heaven, and he convinced many other angels to think his way, and they also fell from heaven.
As for pleasure, it's another gift from God, but it's in how you use pleasure that makes the difference. Now if your talking about sex, it is a gift from God that is for the pleasure between a man and a woman in matrimony, where the two become one in marriage.
hawaii50th 1 year ago
@ebilly99 Sex in marriage is the emotion where a man and a woman show their love for each other through this beautiful act that is done in total privacy between the couple. The desire for each other creates this beauty and is done because they truly love each other and lose one another in themselves where nothing else exist except the two of them in love. The other purpose of course is to have children to continue the human race that God created.
hawaii50th 1 year ago
@ebilly99 Having children to love and to raise in a moral and healthy upbringing teaching them to love God and to have love and respect for themselves and their family. Sad to say that is something that's becoming a rare occurrence these past years and days.
Christianity is all about love, but humans like to distort Christianity, and the devil's influence is behind it all, and he just takes and enjoys his type of pleasure in it all. If only people would realize, the battle is spiritual.
hawaii50th 1 year ago
@ebilly99 And that the devil does exist, and he has but just a little time left to deceive the world before being cast into hell with all of those that chose to follow him. So that he will not be able to tempt any and Christ will set up His Kingdom here on earth.
But of course mankind is and will be stubborn and don't want to believe in their true Creator, so let them choose for themselves the route they want to take. But to them that are awake and know the truth they choose wisely.
hawaii50th 1 year ago
The love making continues throughout the day by the things you do for each other, in the ways that you help each other in the everyday things that make up a relationship.
We were designed to have one marriage, one husband or wife. In sickness and in health until death do we part.
All your doing is distorting the whole marriage and sexual part. you are a very sick puppy, and your sickness comes right out of the mindset of Satan. Your here to divide and conquer for the glory of the evil one.
hawaii50th 1 year ago
Your distorted views make me laugh and want to puke at the same time.
You have a very distorted mind at the way you explain the creation of God. God intended that a man and a woman become one when they marry, that means no sex until they are married. Than the sexual union of a man and a woman is a beautiful union in complete privacy between the two of them where they both share their love for each other in the physical. But the love relation, the love making does not stop there.

KillFpietros 1 year ago
@azsuperman01 ''HAVING SEX FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN PROCREATION IS SIN'' did you make that up? Where in the Bible exactly does it say that?

Masqueradia 1 year ago
@Masqueradia Which was also introduced into human mind when they ate the fruit of the tree of knowledge of Good and Evil. These things are usually temporarily pleasurable, followed by guilt or/and a lacking of satisfaction, only to begin the process all over again. Lying leads to more lies, stealing leads to more stealing... etc, until you're so covered in it that you develop a sort of callus on your conscience that says, "hey... this is kinda fun. And I'm not dead yet." Again, a flesh response.

Well the jewish god anyway, you seem to have a different god.

sin doesn't at first feel right. we were actually given a conscience which first tell us that things are actually WRONG but we suppress our conscience. it doesn't speak in English. It is clearly a feeling that you are doing something that is possibly wrong as a child and you CAN supress the moral conscience.
Clearly God knew that we would be tempted by the pleasures of sin after the fall of humankind. The foresight was in knowing far more than I can explain in 500 words, let alone ever since
Breckmin 1 year ago
(cont.)such "isolation" on specific reasons is over-analyzing.
the Apocrypha actually answers this question in Esdras. In order to have rewards (and this is just ONE of many CONNECTED reasons which can not be isolated on) we were created for "battle." We battle the world, the flesh and the devil (unclean deceiving spirits). Sin often has a temporary pleasure or immediate gratification which allows us to DEMONSTRATE how much we love God by rejecting it. We have to battle our own flesh.
Breckmin 1 year ago
God was NEVER lonely. That is a human imperfection. To believe that the Infinite Creator was somehow "lonely" would be to apply the concept of "waiting" or time/space restriction and an experience of duration which would ignore Atemporal/transcendent/omni-time/infinite at all points of N (t) on an infinite x,y,z 3 dimensional cartesian point system. It would be as defaming as claiming that the ONLY reason God created is because the Infinite Creator knew it was better to give than to receive
Breckmin 1 year ago
@Breckmin
"That is a human imperfection."
Breckmin 1 year ago
Part 2... So God created the universe because he was lonely, or another way of thinking is that he was bored, because being singular, perfect, and all powerful is very lonely, or boring. Basically consciousness is what drives existence, nothing happens without some form of consciousness, so to must be how existence got here in the first place.

Good things come to those who wait.
alight4jc 1 year ago
@alight4jc That's unbelievably stupid. People point out things in context to get believers to open their eyes. For example, nothing in the bibles ever actually happened but I can say, in the bible, this god commits mass genocide, slavery, infanticide, rape, and child abuse. Then ask, what kind of being rapes women? A bad one. It's in the context of the fictional bible. YOU for some reason would than say, oh you must believe it's true! LOL
humanistheart 1 year ago
@humanistheart Why do you persecute people for their beliefs. Don't get me wrong, I am not here to tell you what you should believe. You clearly have your mind made up about that. I can however, say that I care for you as an individual and that I wish you could experience what I have.
Again, not here to convert you, just wishing you could understand why we believe in God. It's not a blind faith like some would say. I can't tell you how many prayers God has answered. It's all good. :)
alight4jc 1 year ago
@alight4jc "I can't tell you how many prayers God has answered. It's all good. :" First of all, you're prayers have not been answered. People ask so many things, eventually something will happen that they ask for and then you call it an answer, but ignore all the many many many times things don't work out. It's sad.
Second of all, all good? So you think raping women is all good? Mass genocide or infanticide is good? Child abuse is good? That's pretty sick.

A supposedly all powerful being is so concerned with being liked if you don't love him more than anything else he'll torture you for all eternity? Is it right to go out partying and sleep with a girl and make her pregnant then not be around to support her needs? Wicked sinfullness. REPENT!

@1onetheone Answer me this then; Where is the child's and the woman's free choice come in?! God could stop it and would if it were not for him wanting the rapist to have free choice??!! Boy..., what a loving, nuturing and benevolent god he is. PLEASE!

@crazy4carolyn Shame on you! Are you saying you are a rapist sir? Is that your free choice?
1onetheone 1 year ago
@1onetheone Either you truly are deluded or you are just missing the point. I'm going to pray (NOT to jesus or some man made god!) that it's the latter! My QUESTION is..., where does the young child or innocent woman's free choice come in? Just because the sicko rapist gets HIS free choice, where are the women's free rights to say no?!
crazy4carolyn 1 year ago
@crazy4carolyn The rapist will pay the price of his sin in hell for ever if he doesnt repent, Because he took away the free choice of the woman. How do I know this? Simply because Jesus said that all who practice immorallity will have their place in the lake of fire, So the rapist needs to repent!
1onetheone 1 year ago
@1onetheone Well that's just fine and dandy for the rapist. He'll get to change his mind and end up in heaven. Now, what if the young lady, because of her trauma (I tke it you've heard of PTSD?) decides "#%$@ god! Because of all the things he had happen to me" Yet, she never does anything dishonarable to another person..., I guess that the rapist ends up in an eternal bliss while she suffers because of what "god" had allowed her to suffer, for another man's right to "free will"?! Help me out??!
crazy4carolyn 1 year ago
@crazy4carolyn Will he change his mind and repent? then will he apologize and do good? Hmm lets hope for his sake, Think of the wicked theif that hung on the cross next to JEsus, he belived and was saved. Now if these wicked people have belived why dont you believe who has lesser sins than these meaning it should be easier for you to believe shoulnt it?!! Jesus is for the wicked and if they repent they too will live holy lives and help others as Jesus did.
1onetheone 1 year ago
@1onetheone But we all have a free choice to belive in Jesus hey!!
If the wicked are getting into the kingdom, including prostitutes and thiefs why dont you repent and belive also!! It would look bad on your woulnt it? If these wicked people accepted JEsus for their sins and then became EX SINNERS but you didnt belive and continued to sin, Dont be decieved JEsus is for everyone.
1onetheone 1 year ago
@1onetheone FIRST..., I thought god made everything?! Isn't that what the BIBLE teaches?
crazy4carolyn 1 year ago
@crazy4carolyn Yes god made all things including satan, So you need to take your questions to God Almighty on why he let you choose to be good and just or sinfull and wicked hurthing other people like we all have chosen to do at some time in our lives (me included) Also ask him why he sent his only son to pay for your sins so you dont have to. and ALL THE WORLD if only they belived in him!!
1onetheone 1 year ago
@1onetheone I took my questions to god for years! (I'll be 47 this month!) and NEVER got an answer! Oh sure, I could contort some verse in the bible to fit my circumstances. But, I can do the same w/ Naustradamus! Do your own research! I don't claim that I have the answers! (Unlike the authors of the bible!) I just have enough info to convince me that the bible and ALL religions are a MAN-MADE thing!
crazy4carolyn 1 year ago
@crazy4carolyn Thats because you dont have any faith whatsoever in God, when i sought god with a sincere heart he spoke to me and revealed the truth to me. The authors of the bible were eye witnessess and prophets of God so you have NO excuse not to believe. Why dont you have faith in the salvation offered you and leave your sin? How silly will you look if prostitutes and thiefs are enterering the kingdom and you dont!! In their wickedness they saw the truth and saw they were sinners!!
1onetheone 1 year ago
@crazy4carolyn What I am saying is always what Jesus said, That he who belives will be saved, Why dont you belive? Why is that so hard that you cant see you are a sinner and repent and live holy? Why is it so hard?
1onetheone 1 year ago
because god wanted us to break free from this urge. he wanted us to become better than human. to become godlike. to break free from this foolish passion we have and to become perfect. if we overcome 'pleasurable sin' we are overcoming our humn passions
soldier9718 1 year ago
Because we, as humans, we have a sinful nature. Our flesh enjoys sinning. That is why sin is "pleasurable", because it feels good to our entirely evil flesh.
chrisalsup19 1 year ago
@chrisalsup19 "entirely evil flesh" -- remind me, who was it who created the flesh again?
azsuperman01 1 year ago
@azsuperman01 Satan, and then when he tempted eve in the garden he passed it on. God is not the author of sin, but he allows it because it is His will and the outcome will eventually glorify Him.
chrisalsup19 1 year ago 3
@chrisalsup19 Satan created the flesh? You need to study up on Bible basics. Gen 2:7 "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul"
Please explain how death, pain, destruction, and suffering will "glorify" God -- and why God's ego is justification enough for said pain, death, and suffering.
azsuperman01 1 year ago
@azsuperman01 Do you know the difference between a human and an animal? Choice... Animals have no choice... they act plainly on their sense of pain and pleasure. if it feels good, they do it. if it's nasty, they don't do it again... Humans on the other hand can deny pleasure or choose pain... Why? For a greater purpose... if we go on and on pleasuring ourselves, what difference between an animal and a man is there? It's not a choice of what feels good and what doesnt... it's about good and evil
brentoykhan 1 year ago

SuperTiredofitall 1 year ago
@azsuperman01 That's not what they AND I are saying, we're saying that #1: God makes man. #2: Man is sinless. #3: Satan tempts man (and woman just to clarify) #4: Sin enters world. The devil knows what things are bad for us to do, and what he pretty much did is make us want to do bad. You should read what one of history's most noted scientists has to say about it. Read the book, "The World as I see it"

@azsuperman01 god made wrong-doing fair seeming. examples of this are in all of the abrahamic books. jesus even makes example of it.
if god had made wrong-doing entirely terrible, it would impinge on our trial.

Rom. 9:22; Isa. 33:12-14. Concering the restriction on sex, it is that it has to be inside of marriage.
nilzor 1 year ago
@azsuperman01 sir dont forget after he created it, who made it evil. who stained it black with sin?
soldier9718 1 year ago

AZcristian623 1 year ago
@AZcristian623 Which begs the question, "Who created Satan?" Since God is the creator of everything, wouldn't it be fair to say that he is the source of sin? Don't tell me God had no clue that Satan would be up to no good before he created him because that would be contrary to his omniscience and omnipresence.
bds8202 1 year ago
@bds8202 God created Satan along with the rest of the entire angelic host. God didn't create sin. God created humans but humans have made porn websites, guns, and torture devices. Does that mean that God is behind it all because he mad humans? Of course not! He simply let all those things occur for a reason. As well as letting Satan be rebellious FOR A REASON. A reason that your blind eyes cannot see or comprehend. God knew Satan from the beginning but let him choose to be rebellious or be holy

youre taking the religion out of context. christians believe having sex before marriage is wrong, and it is a sin. god made those nerv endings so you could wait until you're married to have sex. love is enjoyable and is a good thing. sex isnt just about pleasure, its also about commitment and creating life. sex is beautiful. its bad when you arent saving yourself for one person.

Hmm, the first 8 questions were excellent, but this seems like your weakest one so far. It's a familiar question, and easy to answer.
