  • Amiga people rulezzz , f...k winpc people.

  • Amiga is the best machine in history. We Amigans doesnt ignore PC or Mac users, but They have always ignored Amiga for something unknown. They simply havent tried it! Amiga deserves much more attention! Because its The Creative Computing platform. So much unique software and creative people makes Amiga a great alternative!

  • An Amiga 500 with Amos Professional,Deluxe paint IV & protracker and i can create all i wish.

For this age the amiga's graphic and sound are obsolete but for me is the best

  • Commodore fucked up big time, they had all the cards but threw them in the bin.

The A1200/4000 was too little, too late, specially the A1200 was very under powered for 1992, if commodore stuck at least a 68030/50 Mhz in there and 6 MB of RAM instead of a EC68020 (no fpu) and 2 MB of RAM, the Amiga would have stood a better chance (still slim chance though)

  • @EdgeOfPanic A built in CD Rom would have been nice as well. I believe that was one of Commodore UK's grand plans to rival the PC but Commodore US said 'No, we need to keep the price low'. Twats.

  • Don't drink and fly !!

  • Take a look to the "Natami project" :)

  • Well the computer itself was released in 1992, so it's still advanced for the hardware's age.

  • The original Amiga came out in 1985...

  • actually in 90 they were able to do stuff very similar to this.

  • from what I can see this is a 68k demo, so comparing it to your powermac is not really fair. comparing amiga to anything else is pointless anyway. you can still buy amigaos4 compatible hardware that is quite up to date, if you want! take a look at acube's sam, for example.

  • A1200; launched October 21, 1992, base price 399GBP in UK & $599USD.

CPU: Motorola 68EC020 at 14.32 MHz.You PC/Mac people don't get it.You love to compare 5 year more advanced Tech & say "Amiga not good".Well you just make yourslef look bad because in your own words you admit that it took that much more power & years to do the same an "inferior" machine could do.

68020 =1984 so that is 13 yrs for you guys to cut it.

    PPC740/750/PII='97(13yrs)

    PPC601/603='94

    Pentium/MMX='93/'96

    486='89(5yrs)

  • get away man can you progam like that ask your self that question ?

  • forget your pc the Amiag is far better in its own way i have done disk routine for gremlin graphics

  • All I know is that My Amiga 3000 with the Amax II (Mac emulator board with Mac) I had a faster Color Mac than what Apple was producing.

The Machine was simply generations ahead of anyone else. Only Commodore could fuck it up. And they did.

  • @harleykman: Consider that this demo run on 1991'ish graphics and 25MHz CPU, not a 300MHz Pentium 2 or PPC.

  • @harleykman: Consider that this demo run on 1991'ish graphics and 25MHz CPU, not a 300MHz Pentium 2 or PPC.

  • @harleykman This was running on much older hardware, though. I believe this was on a 14Mhz RISC processor!

  • @harleykman The Pentium II came out in 1998. ....or were you at the the time waiting in a shop for it to come? I dont think so. :D

  • @harleykman Didn't Macintoshes get multitasking till 2001 ? :)

  • Not sure I can see any ray tracing going on here, just environment mapping. Still a wicked demo though.

  • OMG the donuts rolling in realtime morphing and ray traced!!! omg as we (amiga lovers) all know! amiga Rulez!!!

  • yeah! fucking amazing!!! I can't believe it when i see it !

  • Sorry but that artifacts biginning on minute 1.45 they dind t exists on the real amiga, that demo was running on a emulator, thats for sure! And its not bad what im saying... is good! it represents that 11 years later even the emulators cant run the real power AGA (advanced Graphics Adapter)!! and thats is amaizing how the tecnologi from the amiga was not iet totaly discover! :D

  • i'm using WinUAE ( no room to use my A1230 50 mhz ) i try to be as close it's possible to the original sorry for mystakes :(

  • @tommyjones1978 Amiga was the god computer seriously...I wish it came back and blew everyone away again...but the time for that has passed :(

  • How about a reupload to take advantage of the new Googley hi-res YouTube options? Amiga Demos should be seen in higher fidelity.

  • next demos will be 640x i can't do all again and again some people ask me for 50 fps capture :)

  • @SaganAppreciationSoc Yes i will rebuild all previous AMIGA Demos in HD but it take time to build :)

  • OMG!! thank you!

    Thsi brings back memories!

Imagine all this in real time on a machine running at 14 MHZ!

That machine was more than a machine!

    Regards

  • soon you'll can get AVI H264 on the website wait for amigaland V5 ( january 2009 )

  • I want the music. Like, NOW :-p

  • Now thats Uber-cool!

  • You wonder? *lol* I tell you: Because AMIGA has Fans, that's why! PC (i386/MS) has just Users ... most of the time they're angry 'bout all the things not working or lasting plenty of times. Nobody would have the Idea to make Demos showing how great PCs are !

Amiga Rulez, my friends! It's like real good music. Not everyone likes, uses oder hear it, but that's ok! So it isn't mainstream. unfortunately companies need a lot of money. And Commodore wasted money like toilet paper.

  • i wonder why we dont see demos from the pc?

  • Demo scene was'nt as big on pc.

  • There were notable democoders on the PC too -don't forget Future Crew and their Second Reality- but I'll agree that the PC scene perhaps lacked the passion present in the Amiga one.

  • Please come to breakpoint party or assembly :)

  • @Velktron What do you mean WERE?!

  • @slitor You mean there's absolutely no difference between the scene at the time of Future Crew and the Amiga and today? According to some people the oldskool PC demoscene pretty much died with the introduction of Windows and 3D Acceleration into the desktop. So yeah, a strong, categorical WERE from me.

  • Ahh! The power of Assembly Language. Good Video. Amiga could have best the best platform.

  • Yes, how much hadent we wanted to see a comeback...???

  • And this was 10 years ago.....great times....great memories.

  • must be a 060

  • Brings back memories

    thank you ! :)

  • Nice! What makes the most of a computer's capabilities are demos and games. My lecturer in algorithms expressed disdain for games. No, no: "It's the graphics, operating system, system calls - well, the whole computer, stupid." Algorithms on their own are nice, but demos and games got that down pat, too.

  • Was this expanded at all?

  • Another great demo
