Well, maybe that wouldn't be such a problem if he would have said eight-five-seven, rather than eight-fifty-seven. That's why people were getting confused.
Why everyone blame the controller!!!??? I think it was very professional of him to say so...what can u do when everyone is talking at the same time!! u have to cut it off...and thats what he did!!
@libudibudauchoo You don't speak English, do you? How could you possibly not understand that this controller has the mentality of a three year old child throwing a tantrum because one pilot was legitimately trying to confirm a call sign.
What a preposterous ATC prick. Very unprofessional attitude and that having in mind he's dealing with two native english speakers. I feel sorry for the NON native like the poor guy at Air China 981 and alikes. Not only his attitude is extremely unprofessional and arrogant but he's lacking standard phraseology. Open micks are not to preach whomever you feel like openly. He should be banned!
No its not, this is a ground controller, the kid that was speaking was the child of the Tower controller. They are different, and everyone trash talking, what you dont notice is the frequency is "blocked" or 2 people are speaking at the same time and they dont know. So you get un-legible voices. Thats why he got frustrated.
That controllers a fag i know he was stressed but if the have the same callsign yuo really cant do anything about it so shut the fuck up and work threw it
This controllers attitude is extremely unprofessional and possibly dangerous. Proper communication between ATC and pilots is the key to maintaining safety. In training pilots learn that if there is any confusion whatsoever with an ATC clearance , that they need to question the controller. The pilots did the right thing by asking which call sign ATC was addressing, the controller should have known, but I do realize controllers have a very difficult and stressful job but no need to flip on the guy
What you guys miss is that the transmission with the tone under it was blocked meaning that there were two people talking at the same time. The controller doesn't usually know that this has happened until someone says "blocked". Therefore, he thought he was repeating himself and that the pilot of 807 wasn't listening. What happened was that 807 (and everyone else) never heard the clarification.
Wow....that controller is really pissed off today...Anyway its Kennedy intl. so thouse controllers are very stressed cause its a big airport, but still he`s kinda pissed off.
Wow, most people who talk shit about jetblue don't even fly, or only fly little props cause they were rejected. Learn some respect, because being a controller and pilot CAN be STRESSFUL.
On the last set of subtitles it goes "When I have the time and patients and its save up to move you I will do so" Shouldn't it be "When I have the time and patients and its SAFE ENOUGH to move you I will do so"?
I have had a few 'issues' with our friends in ATC. can you imagine...being expected to do the JOB you get paid 100 grand to do? Silly pilots. Shut the **** up and wait until I feel like moving you.
Woah...if I were a pilot, even a really brilliant one who almost never makes a mistake, I think I would be a little more than intimidated coming into KJFK. BUt I do uderstand that ATC work is frustrating for the controllers.
Also, if I can quote the show Air Crash Investigation, there was one incident where the narrator said this about NY controllers: "They are quite intimidating even on a good day". I wonder why.
when controllers make the pilots wait like that the airplanes waste a lot of fuel, costing the airlines tons. oh yeah and this controller is a complete dick btw...there was no reason for that

This air traffic controller was the same guy that brought his kid to work w/ him and got suspended. You can tell in the audio recordings.

How about "When I have time and patience," because "patients" are people who are in hospitals.
deovalente 2 years ago
@bbthefirst yea that and, its not patients, there are no doctors or patients on the runway.
he is referring to patience.
