they realized how powerful hip hop was, how it influenced so many people especially in the inner city and infiltrated , planted these rappers who are actually very smart and educated but pay em to come across as brain dead dummies who speak on nothin but cars, females(or hoes as they call em), drugs, killings, etc...and brainwashin is a technique that works with repetition, so u have all these rappers at the same time talkin about the same shit its bound to influence ppl especially the youth.
My ONLY issue with what he says about kids rebelling to the Rodney King beating is that the majority of the rioting and destruction happened in black neighborhoods and 80% if the businesses destroyed were Korean owned. The media shifted the focus off the whites and onto Asians. It would have really been some revolutionary shit if they went to City Hall and the Police HQ and rioted. That said, I agree with everything he's saying, we need that political consciousness in rap now more than ever.
@Th3Individual Some of ya'll Want to talk like hoes Worse than bitches And when ya'll niggas see me blow Bet it hurt like stitches No competition I stop and twist 'em Hit 'em like a mafia proposition I'm glad ya'll stopped and listen Thinkin' back to when I had not pot to piss in Look up at a nigga nod Rocks are glistenin' Can't stop my mission.. > Nas. MESSAGE!!!! It's refreshing to hear an artist speak without saying "all day...you know how we do...nyymean?" while rubbing their blinged out hands together. Not hating on those getting money and being successful but please understand and be aware of whats happening around you and how your message is being interpreted out in the streets. Cats are taking your words seriously when you say you are shooting up the blocks and selling bricks.

Bill Gates has a depopulation via vaccination agenda. Asians, Blacks, Indians, hispanic& other non-whites stay away from government clinics, Educare Ctr. for kids. Beware of all vaccines and meds. Truth, Knowledge & Wisdom this is the true representation of HIP HOP- now there is NO MESSAGE in hip hop its a do nothing, about nothing, mind numbing, desensitizing genre of music - it's time to take it back and reform it into what it was when the hip hop movement began. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER-

for the black youth its hard to listen to Wise Intelligent, hear him say things to uplift black youth. Yet B.E.T. is glorifying American Gangstas, thats confusing to any race of people.
this video touchs on a lot of truth but the thing is we need more vids like these on tv even talk radio shows on mainstream air ways but we wont see it if we dont fight the oppression
@ItsTheQuestion there is a lot of truth to your comment, however no matter how spiritually awake you are it wont save you from the violence and influence the elites hold in society and the poison they contaminate food and water with to make you sick and weak. Being spiritually awake or connected, which has nothing to do with religion (just so thats clear, they are quite opposite), will allow you to see reality & truth but their influence on society and goals of the elites will effect you.
Excellently spoken .. However the whole notion of the debate is now irrelevant ... I say this because ultimately the only truth is that all of this will end - once you human beings become consciously aware of the fact you create with your thoughts ... to skip the whole debate and empower everybody with this truth that THEY MAY CREATE WHATEVER THEY WISH IN THIS EXPERIENCE - SIMPLY BY THE POWER OF THOUGHT ... and most importantly .. IMAGINATION .. .
My only disagreement with the argument is that the Rodney King beating occurred in 1991. The trials took place in 1992 - 1993. The Chronic was the #1 hip-hop album in 92. Fight the Power was a 1989 song. Brand Nubian was big in 91-92 though. True dat. True dat. True dat.
I think brother is still on point because he is talking about the music we were "primed" by leading up to the Rodney King crime. What he could have included is the pumping of drugs into our community in the late 60's and 70's as a bigger repressive tool.
To the guy who blamed the NWA for the fall of rap, NO. The NWA was a response to racism in the West Coast. Unlike the East, the West Coast had the black panthers and the black nationalist movement that was always promoted in the East, didn't have a ground in the West because the FBI had a war against the Black Panthers. They became the Crips and the Bloods, and you can look this up if you don't believe me. The NWA spoke for angry gangsters, who couldn't relate to "revolutionaries" in the East.
i was woundering what my maan wise int. was up to these days..use to love to here him talk on mtv back in the day with krs-1 he has some awsome clips and interviews on u-tube as well
Damn true. After controlling the production of goods and job market, the next step was to control people's free time. People was getting too much free time and were thinking TOO MUCH. They needed to get into people brains and make sure people spent all their money and didn't THINK. This is what all the bling bling is about, and even gangsta rap. They make it look cool if you kill a nigga or use drugs, but it's the government that introduces weapons and drugs in our societies. Let's wake up, bros
The key words here are "Racial Pride", which is sadly lacking today in the black community. Everybody wants to be a "nigga", which is actually an inferior creation produced by the caucasoid. These cowardly rappers are so afraid to do songs about killing the caucasoid, and it makes them look like bitches. Ultimately, that's why these mainstream rap videos are pathetic and have absolutely no creativity.
Absolutely true. The powers that be cant have any sort of unity and collective consciousness in the black community. They cant have as calling each other brothers and sister so they use the media to promote images of consumerism materialism and ignorance onto the youth and what better way to do that than through hip-hop
I agree in ewerything you say, exept that I'm against the use and fronting of the terme "racial pride"... Race doesn't matter to the system - money does! And because moust blacks are poor, they are pushed down. "White trash" is in the same situation. Of course there are a lot of racism in the states, but you can't kill racism with "racial pride." We have to ignore those "differences". Be proud of who U are, not first of all how U look. FIGHT THE POWER!
Remember when RAP first came out it was an experiment then it got serious,Flash &the Furious 5 released don't push me I'm close the edge, then a certern hollywood pres got elected & crack flooded the black neighborhoods not just the ghettos, voilence erupted at an all time high for blks in history then the self destruction movement, east & west coast hit, X-Clan,Chuck D, Queen Latifa, Sista Soulja, KRS One, w/LL mixed in w/Slick Rick's giving moral to the story, well this the rape over rap now
its good to see a positive hip hop influence spreading the truth here, i also liked how he acknowledged lil wayne's lollipop song......gosh that song is annoying
I always knew that the white record executives promotes black on black violence over black consciousness. They do not care that black kids kill each other as long as they keep it in the hood. Blacks must own their own record company and do produce what helps us or let's do it on the internet.
Many rappers have no problems reinforcing coon stereotypes about Black people because they're sellouts and doing it for money and women. This makes the establishment very happy because those type of Black people are not a threat to the existing order. Black rappers who challenge the bullshit rarely get played.
Real hip-hop doesn't get played on BET, MTV, or mainstream radio. You have to go on the Internet or listen to undeground radio to get authentic rap music. That doesn't mean all underground rap is authentic because it's not. TV networks and mainstream radio are afraid to broadcast intelligent, social conscious, creative Black rappers. That's because they're a threat to the status quo.
He's right, BUT its not nobody's fault but ours for being too stupid and too selfish to change things.
It's like we get off on doing evil. That's why we are so easily pushed to eat our own, not just in the US but globally.
Jesus or mohammed will not change anything. Black folks need a scientific approach like selective breeding AKA arranged marriages. We can't trust our daugthers & sons to choose a viable mates,so its time we choose for them. Its time we breed out the weak
no way will it be good to have arranged marriage, Democracy!! thats the good thing about America
its good that we choose our spouses.
and yeah it is the peoples fault, but his point is the everyone is influenced by something.. especially young children, they ARE influenced by RAP music... we need more positive artists out there, this brother speaks the truth and like myself, he knows what the government and the enemy is trying to do to us.. its brainwashing....
What he says is definetely true. I have, as many others, followed the game and know the history pretty well, I think, and I can relate to what he says. ITS REAL TALK. Straight up!
Very good speech. Lets all take it to another level. The mental state of the society & it's people are suffering & you can clearly hear that in todays Hip Hop music. I love Hip Hop music but it is suffering & has been doing that for quite some time now & more people have to wake up & realize that.
Nicely put by WI. I fully agree, keep fighting man. I will try to spread this video as much as I can.
Get ya chippers to geather and letsa control our distribution. lets get all these fools thats getting this money and own our plans buy compuyter system like google and lets row. i'm a emcee from the nation in Philly I'm a cancer i know wqhat to do. Somebody give me money tons of it. I can can run things like a Suge Knight and a real hip hop leaders. stop talking and lets walk.
He is an ol school rapper and his name is Wise Intelligent. Put in "Poor Righteous Teachers" in the youtube search bar and you will see thier music vids.
Our Champions are ready to speak, we will continue to grow and ready ourselves. Don't be blind do not allow yourself to be fooled into thinking that now having this Black man in office will change anything. This is just the beginning!
I agree with most of what Wise Intelligent said. The only part I would disagree with him on is that the Conscious Era of Hip Hop actually started in the late 80s, not '92. The groups he named - that was the late 80s. When he said by '92 we were primed, I think that is what he meant. From 87 to 92, it was on and poppin on the campuses of HBCU's I agree. I have not seen anything like that at HBCU's since 92 - maybe early 93.
Also of note during this Era was The Cosby Show and A Different World TV series. Enrollment for Black Children in College has never reached those HIGH levels again.
Then came NWA "Straight Outta Compton" and the crumbling.
Message is ALL important and the ability of a new culture to ALWAYS define it for itself VS. monetary interest.

we dont need the industry! to teach our people! if we depend on them they gonna shit on us every time! dont buy bullshit music! only real hip hop! that will make the companys bow to real music because that is a movment to destroy the black man and his family!!
Hip Hop is more than music! The culture as a whole is an amazing movement! It's not just for the black man and his family, its for the working class as a whole!

How many people realize that they said Public Enemy was abrasive &
started a promotional campaign with NWA? Yall remember this right.
I was like wtf? From that point they leaned more toward ignorant self
destructive rebellious type niggas who could promote fast money &
material love. If you study hip hop history you can see where it's been
used to manipulate the masses. All this to say it was & is powerful
just has different form & purpose seen safe by those in power.

body..mind..spirit... simply by being spiritually awake and operating beyond the programming of the conditioned mind ... your world will change !
ItsTheQuestion 2 years ago 2

True dat. True dat. True dat.
brianofbluemethod 2 years ago

We need a Revolutionary Workers Party with a special Black Leadership component, to break the foundation of racist american capitalism!
The ruling class does NOT work, but THEY get all the bread.
The working class does ALL the work, and WE only gets crumbs.
All oppressed people, no matter what your skin color, have a mutual link that is stronger than the ruler's chains that bind us, the WORKING CLASS!
FOR NEW OCTOBERS!

I always knew that the white record executives promotes black on black violence over black consciousness. They do not care that black kids kill each other as long as they keep it in the hood. Blacks must own their own record company and do produce what helps us or let's do it on the internet.
Makiba08 2 years ago 2
We must have our own and We can do it. We must stand up and go for Self.... trust each other and have a common goal and pool our resources.

Many rappers have no problems reinforcing coon stereotypes about Black people because they're sellouts and doing it for money and women. This makes the establishment very happy because those type of Black people are not a threat to the existing order. Black rappers who challenge the bullshit rarely get played.
DrRealFacts 2 years ago 3

Its time we breed out the weak
voltronforce5000 2 years ago
no way will it be good to have arranged marriage, Democracy!! thats the good thing about America
its good that we choose our spouses.
and yeah it is the peoples fault, but his point is the everyone is influenced by something.. especially young children, they ARE influenced by RAP music... we need more positive artists out there, this brother speaks the truth and like myself, he knows what the government and the enemy is trying to do to us.. its brainwashing....

"87' to 92'"
Also of note during this Era was The Cosby Show and A Different World TV series. Enrollment for Black Children in College has never reached those HIGH levels again.
Then came NWA "Straight Outta Compton" and the crumbling.
Message is ALL important and the ability of a new culture to ALWAYS define it for itself VS. monetary interest.
