I'm a Spanish sailor. My work is the same as you. The clue is the feeling, the grass we step... our COUNTRY, OUR THEME, OUR FLAG. VIVA LA ARMADA VIVA LA USN.
good memories went to great lakes nov 12 08 it was cold as hell have fun oh yeah make sure u guys go to sleep before u ship out they make sure you guys stay up for a day when u get there
i cant wait to leave. i put in a request to change my job to a CM so hoping to get new ship date. im leaving as of now jan 26th 2010! thats sooo far away! Thank you to everyone for serving
Good luck I ship out on February first and my recruiter told me that all jobs are pretty much pushed back about a year. Who knows I requested early ship date and I've been waiting since March I don't think it's going to happen. Looks like I'll be at RTC with you but you'll be out before me. good luck
I give your son the upmost respect for suceeding and graduating RTC. What is his Ratings tho?. I'm in Navy DEP and suprisingly I won't ship till Janurary 6th. Your son will do well, and hopefully same for me in the Navy. I will be a SeaBee=D. Keep looking out!, GO NAVY!
Your leaving in Jan? Im leaving on Feb. 16. But to be honest i would like to leave much earlier. Like Sept. personally. and I'm not a seabee I'm an AS
My father was in the U.S. Navy back in the 60s. After going throough boot camp in San Diego, he was flown over to the Phillippines to catch his ship.
He was stationed aboard the USS Enterprise. He told me that the only place they mostly went to for liberty was in Olongapo (Phillippines). He did go to Hong Kong once. The ship was not allowed into the Japan region because of nuclear power.
He told me that it was an ever-changing life experience for a religious Texas kid. He was only 18
I graduated from Boot Camp in 1973 - San Diego... That was a million years ago. I will never forget it. I didn't think anyone from my family was coming. I must admit I was pretty low. I remember passing in review and at the very second I heard the order, "Eyes Right!" and snapped my head to the right - I saw my mom... a man never forgets something like that.
You just brought back a memory of when I was at my "A" school back in Virginia right after Basic training..an elderly retired senior chief from the Korean War approached me and spoke to me...i'll never forget that.
Thanks, my son graduates Great Lakes Jan 26 and now I have a little feeling of what I can expect. I'm proud of him and all of our young men and women. This from a dad with a lump in his throat and wings on his heart. Thanks and all the best.
Congratulations. My grandpa was a Coast Guard aviator, Father was a Naval aviator, who is currently in Iraq as a contractor flying UAV's. My brother is a Naval ATC at North Island and I will be going to boot when my dad returns home from Iraq. I will be a MA. Congratulations to you and your son you should both be very proud.
Hey! I am another Seabee mama...mine graduated May 06 from BT...scheduled to graduate from A-School Sept 06. Loved the video...good job on editing and brought goosebumps to my arms watching the graduation photos as it brought back memories of one of the proudest moments of my life! :-)
Congratulations! My son graduated RTC in March 06, and is a Seabee since May. I know you couldn't be prouder: My Son, My Sailor, My Seabee! God bless you & yours.
