if you hold on your finger to the first screen after you click photo browser, you can sort it by folder.. this is amazing... one thing is bothering me, why it isn't view all of my photos but just viewing only a few recently photo.

@modlod0105 ah, nvm i got it. u can either use cancel call button (red button) or on the application, just press anywhre and hold for some sec (maybe 2 sec) then menu will come out. wat to do now? choose "exit" duh~

Habe ihn ausprobiert, zu langsahm.. viel zu langsahm beim Laden der Fotos... ABER.. die Grundidee ist super. Man muss jedoch noch an der Optik (keinerlei Menütasten im Programm) und der Geschwindigkeit!! arbeiten.

It takes a bit of time to load all the images, and the fps (smoothness) can be a bit icky at times, apparently it helps to install this application onto your phone memory, and it loads images faster, not sure if thats true or not though!

Who thinks that over time, applications will run better, because of better programming, as well as updated firmwares making everything perform better?

Last time Ive uploaded around 300 photos of diffrent sizes but mostly sizes around 2000xsomething this app cached them once and then was working very fast and smooth, even with 100s of photos 3d browsing was flawless on my n97 mini.

This IS already released! Albeit only the beta version of this product. It's not fully optimized yet.

Do you know how to read? It's a BETA version, NOT the official release version yet. The developers at Nokia Beta Labs (they have a blog @ the official NBL site) expect the final release date to coincide with the release of the N97 this May or June. We expect the v1.0 of this application to be as fast as Scalado's Photo Browser, which is just as fast as the iPhone's.

BTW, to those saying this is slow, you do realize that this is a BETA application. It's not in its final form yet. It's nice of Nokia to release a beta version of their software to the public for feedback. I just hope it ends up as fast as the 3rd party Scalado photo browser, which is damn quick, especially with the image zooming, cropping, and overall rendering.

Nokia should make all their apps this fancy. It'll give the iPhone a run for its money. I'm not saying the iPhone sucks. It's a really cool phone. It's everyone's "ideal" touchscreen phone. Unfortunately, it's pretty expensive, almost twice as much as the Nokia 5800. I'm glad Nokia's coming out full force with the touchscreen stuff. Makes their Nokia 5800 more value-added each day. I'm gonna wait for the price to drop to at least $250 before getting one though. Right now, it's roughly $300 here!

It's the actual PicLens of Firefox that is installed to the Nokia phone. I bet Apple makes a better and more fluent version of such kind of a photo browser - and iPhone and iTouch even has the better one! You can see whole pics, and zoom in to one and flip to the other.

There is no hardware limitation stopping it from having kinetic scrolling, so software can implement it. Within the next few months i wouldn't be surprised if the firmware gets updated to include it on all aspects of the phone like the N97.

Nope its an idea, not a direct copy therefore not protected by copyright laws. Hence why its not illegal to make stuff that is very similar to original items with just a different trademark etc unless it has been patented (which does not apply to software in Europe)

emm... yeah, the way you navigate to photos, I don't exactly know what do you mean by "gallery" but my dad has an iPhone and he just have to slide the finger to change to the next photo. And that's almost identical to what I saw in this video

This method is a maked "standard" by apple and all (or not all) companys be setting in your phones.
