My brother is giving me the pioneer AVIC-f900bt for free since his new car cannot take a double din. So, I was in need for a double din for my 2010 Tundra since the stock radio is weak. Judging from your review this double din seems awesome. Anyway thanks for the review.

I would unzip it first then install the sd card in your 700bt. the Zip format will not be recognized in your system. Hope it helps.

does the volume knob stay blue? it says it has like 30 k colors you can change the colors to but everybody has blue.yours isnt lit up at all

watch at 0:48 when he its the artists tab. Notice how he hits it twice. get used to that if you buy this unit. Pay very close attentionn how he is using his fingers and each stroke makes a popping sound. You have to apply accurate pin point pressure and withdraw your finger really fast. Its like if you use the wrong kind of pressure it bricks it and doesn't even respond. If you have fatter fingers your screwed.

This is a very problematic unit. Not responsive at all. the nav is not accurate. This video fails to show how slow it is when booting up . I am guessing this video is computer edited and this guy works for pioneer. Pionner products make it so it is impossible for moding so you can watch while driving. they say you can watch dvds under 20 mph but that didn't work either. Stear clear of this useless piece of crap unless your going to run it over.

hey i just bought the scion 6.0 release series..and is has this nav in it..upon starting up..wheni go to settings only av settings and av sound are able to be pressed...they wont let me prss navi settings or systems settings..same goes when i go to navi..i wont let me enter or even press adress,..plzzzz help plz..

You need to pull up on the E-Brake with the car parked, it will give you access to all of the controls and also watch the DVD, there's a lockout that is connected to the E-brake wiring. Hope this works for you.

Its the same thing as the 700 bt I ave it. The only real differnce is the msn direct which is gay. save yourself 350 - 400 dollar

this is pretty awesome, but does it play video? i have an '08 impreza--not a WRX [even though WRX comes in auto, that's lame] or STi :( don't know how to drive stick yet, haha--anyway, it got broken into, window smashed and they stole my harmon/ kardon 810NA which is also a multimedia player with a knob-remote that played video/ had photo album/ music/ bluetooth etc. i'm currently looking for a comparable replacement, maybe a bigger screen than my 4.3.

have you had any problems with a hiss noise coming from speakers? I've taken it in to the shop that installed it, and they said that since my car comes navi/bluetooth ready, i'm going to hear the hiss all the time unless i turn system off. this can't be normal right? it's pretty annoying.

That's B.S. I don't have a hiss. Usually a hiss is an indication of a grounding problem.

I agree. If the noise changes with RPM's as well that would indicate some bad grounding in the car. Either under the hood with a bad batt. connection, or where that cable connects to different points in the frame. Also look into a "Ground loop isolator".

go to best buy or any audio place buy a noise filter fairly simple to install normally behind the Face plate costs 25$ max and good bye annoying sound :)

just got this and i like it only one big problem is on the ipod i can play 946 songs. sounds ok but i have 5,680 songs on my ipod. whats up with that is it a compatiblity problem with the format? most songs are either bought off itunes or in apple lossless

I've never had a problem with glare, as long as the screen is clean. Oil from your fingers on the screen is what makes the most glare.

Once it loads, they're all this fast.  With the 2.0 Firmware update it made loading much faster, too!

Here's something I don't understand. On their boxes they've got this 3D GPS thing going on, the thing is, no matter where I look, there is no sign of the 3D GPS thing. I even found a review that said it doesn't have it.

You CAN change the angle of the view... I just like the overhead view better. You can change the angle in like 4-5 increments, lower and lower to the street! :)

Get the Avic F-Series 2.0 update, and it will fix that annoying issue!!! It also makes boot up time about 30 seconds, and fixes a lot of other little things. Search for it, it's free and you have to get it...

Yep! It's a module made by a company called PAC. Just look up the right module for the brand (Pioneer, etc) and it works. Almost all stereo places sell them.

You should be able to get a double din in the Focus.. trust me .. this is way better than having Sync. Many more things you can do with it for probably the same price.

What's not working? As long as your phone is synced, mic is hooked up, and you can see all of your contacts on the "Contacts" page... then it should work.

I had the 6-disk, which I wasn't fond of. The sound quality improved SIGNIFICANTLY even keeping the stock speakers. I'll try to get a clip of the DVD playback if I have some time this weekend...
