@theskiprat The primary difference between scientists and creationists rests entirely with the ability of scientist to admit when they are wrong and make adjustments accordingly. This contrasts with the rigidity of creationism which does not allow its backers to admit any mistakes. This shows the scientists correct their ideas in the face of evidence whereas creationists tend to ignore all evidence.

@vetobob exactly, history is full of very well done hoaxes which indeed did fool scientists, the thing is those scientists were able to admit they had made mistakes when presented with evidence.

@quaffer22 it wouldnt surprise me if the maker of the fake was a fundie trying to discredit evolution, i dont see any proof that non-creationists ignore or fudge evidence to the contrary, whereas a quick search around youtube reveals dozens of examples of fundies doing this to further their own cause

It does not prove that evolution did not happen, it just proved how one person was able to fool the scientific world, until science caught up and was able to see through the deception.

Evolution is a documented fact supported by millions of years of evidence, and it is not random, anyone who thinks that needs to watch 'the blind watch maker' again
