  • Lulu should have stayed in England and carried on working with Johnny Harris. See her '69 BBC show as evidence of this fact.

  • Gente, como é que se consegue imagens assim? meu deus! i love it!!!!!!!

    Thanks whoever shared it;

  • Adele has nothing on Lulu . . . nothing.

  • Fabulous. Lulu did tell Sheena Easton she would never make it in the music business though.

  • Add one talented singer, great musical arrangement, awesome lyrics and back up band and what do you get? The perfect song.

  • a beautiful song was sung by a talented beautiful lady class elgance talent all the way. No if but,s or maybes about. As for the one whho called her an old bitch. shurt your filithy stupid mouth. Shhe had class talent grace and style which you dont,t never will. You must be a filthy bongle from thejungle rapper minded or some white trash that wannt,s to be ffilithy bongle from the jungle rapper wanna be. Cant,t stand to seeclass elgance talent when you are looking at it.

  • In my opinion her best song, I could listen to her all day

  • @subvet972 Yes IMHO this song is very underrated. A true gem by the classiest singer of all time.

  • johansen does such a soulful arrangement-wish he could duet w/her on this song!

  • to all the lovers in the world Tonight !!!!!!!

  • Marvellous soul singer, too bad she never had the right record company backing, I think she was led away from this kind of song. She still sounds great and records better material (like this) now...but its hard to get ahead of the X factor generation chart wise

  • i'll still do this old bitch

  • @GinoongJojo She may be older, but she aint no bitch ! SO, superedooperey butthole, SHUT UP !!

  • She blows out cheryl cole out of the water with her fantastic voice anyday LULU ROCKS !

  • The Hook of the chorus is so good !!! To bad songs like this aren't re- done by today's artist.. ROB THOMAS should record the Grass Roots, Temptation Eyes.

It is a great song and Rob has the same timber of the voice as Rob Grill the original singer. The young kids today need to experience this classic stuff.

Brittany Spears should record, I Think I Love You Partridge Family!! Great stuff!!

  • Lulu did record this before Aretha Franklin..I was wrong !Jimmy Doris of the Stoics wrote it as a pop song in Scotland! In Lulu's hometown! Also recorded by B.j. Thomas, and Tina Arena!Lulu's voice was the one I remember belting this out..when I was 10 yrs. old.I just did a little research after seeing Beth Hart in Ca. do this song in 2011..I'm 53 now lol..inacuracy waranted!

  • True in 1969 , she had more than guts to get up,and do a soul /blues song!It was just another era back then. Here walks in little Lulu, and pounds it out from the bottom of her heart. This was written for Aretha Franklin! Also more recently done by Beth Hart !They all do this song justice in their own way !

  • Lulu what a great voice you have :)

  • her voice is sexy smoldering hot++

  • @hermiemel Exactly what I was thinking! I'd fall in love with her b/c of that smoky voice!

  • Lulu BLOWS ME AWAY !!

  • This song is amazing and what a great live performance!!!

  • Gee, no backup singers, dancers or pre-recorded vocals. This is what you call LIVE. Too bad most female singers today don't have the voice or the guts to attempt this. Just one person's opinion.

  • @instructme You said it brother!!!

  • Oh me Oh freakin' my........lovin it up

  • Oh me Oh freakin' my........

  • Just one dumb-dumb

  • Lulu <3

  • Fabulous song, fabulous singer. Not just "Shout" and "To Sir with love". Type in Lulu northern soul and hear just what a fantatic singer she really is.

  • She was just a teenager when she hit the big time. Why didn't she become a judge on Amer.Idol?

  • Always one of my favorites!!!

  • She is still gorgeous and still sounds great.

  • I love love love this song...such a big hit!! Saw her the last two years in London, she still sounds great and looks gorgeous!! Had the good luck to meet her backstage after the concert....She is warm, charming and funny........Love her!!

  • Was this song first recorded by actor/singer Richard Harris?

  • CAN THIS WOMAN SING OR WHAT?? Got a real kick out of seeing her on American Idol a couple years back . . .

  • Luv me sum Lulu! One of her of all time best!

  • Aretha Franklin suposedly adored this song and couldnt believe her eyes when she saw it was a little white girl who sang this song. Lu Lu was very underated.

  • @celticqueen0206 Yes - you are right- and Lulu told a story that after the record was released, she went to get on an elevator at Atlantic/Atco records and when the doors opened there was Aretha. Lulu got on but was nervous at seeing one of her idols for the first time. Aretha was Not a diva. She was very complimentary and told Lulu what a great voice she had and how much loved Oh Me Oh My. Aretha and Lulu- two of the greatest singing voices ever.

  • Oh me oh my I'm a fool for Lulu. What a timeless classic. One of a kind voice that still sounds this good today.

  • Oh Me Oh MY ! LOVE IT ........

  • My favourite song of Lulu's. Great to hear her sing it live.

  • When I see Lulu I can only imagine what she and Maurice were like. She so cute and talented, they must have been a special moment in time

  • Such a pretty lady with a good voice. What a talent.

  • Muito legal.

  • DYNAMITE!!!!!!!!!!

  • No lip synching here. She's singing live! BTW, this song peaked at #22 on the Billboard charts in March of 1970 (in case anyone's wondering).

  • @natknox1 So true, no lip syncing here from Lulu. Some different effects from the studio version and can hear the difference in the live vocals. Can't believe this was 40 or so years ago. Awesome song, awesome bluesy Lulu!

  • A perfect example of how some singers sound just as good live as on the record. Lulu is always that way.

  • This song brings me a lot of memories during my high school years. I just wish there were a video available on YT of Lulu singing "Best of Both Worlds." That is another one of her classics besides "To Sir With Love." She is a very special woman with an amazing voice. Too bad there is no young singer on the planet who can even come close to her talent. Thank you for posting the video.

  • In 1969, when I was 12, I saw Lulu perform this tune on the show, "Music Scene." I had known of her since To Sir With Love, and I was a fan, but after hearing this song, and seeing how gorgeous she was, I became her lifelong slave. I still am.

  • @ftsjr So am I. Been a fan since I saw her in To Sir With Love. Lulu continues to be a remarkable talent. While some singers have lost their voices, Lulu's is as wonderful as it was in 1967.

  • she did made some great records like this one in the States - shame she had been pigeon-holed over here as light entertainment by then...

  • this is a woman who had talent ingrained in her soul..and remember she was like 17 at the time she had this hit..in to sit with love I believe she was 14...still an awesome talent..saw her a few yrs back in sunset boulevard

  • she was so good so underrated so much soul

  • so sad coming from such a happy looking lady.this is just heartbreaking to hear.but, after 40 years, she looks and sounds as good as ever.long live lulu!!!

  • Absolutely Fabulous ....

  • OMG!...Thank you soo much for posting!...this sure brings back alot of memories!......Love it!!!

  • Remember when singers could sound as good live as they did on record, like here...WITHOUT lip syncing? Guess that's cuz they used to be required to actually be able to sing...anyway, this is great and Lulu is adorable!

  • absolutely elegant. love this song

  • Practically perfect in every way.

  • Oh my god my absolutely favorite Lulu song!!! Thank you for posting this. She is the BEST and one of the most underrated singers. Love her and the girl still today looks great!!

  • great stuff...........

  • In late 69, Lulu performed this song on The Music Scene. This looks like it could be from that show, although I'm probably wrong. Even though I was just a kid then, I had a massive crush on Lulu, and I don't think she ever looked hotter than she does here. A beautiful song, performed by a beautiful woman.
