  • Pfideo - I am very interested in the early history of boating. I think, the first people who were able to cross the open sea, were the ancestors of the Aborigines - and the Melanesian people. I have seen you on TV (you are from the former DDR). There was a movie on TV about your rafts and your trips. An Austrian Rob Bednarik builds bamboo rafts in Indonesia. The stoneage people were able to jump from island to island 30.000 years ago and they crossed the Timor Strait to Australia some 40.000 ya

  • They never made it! The trip was canceled after multiple failures.

  • Yes, you can get detailed information including a step by step account of the trip VIA their GPS. I'm not sure that the folks back 14,000 years ago had a GPS, but I'm open minded.

  • @pfideo well i guess it depends if u believe u evolved from mud by lighting as a single cell.in some chemistry unknown to science ....or intelligence created u
