  • I completely agree with you, I do not understand how the gay community is largely against transgender people or transsexuals. I have a few gay friends (that are pretty flamer), that dislike "Trannies". This doesn't make sense to me, like you said. I am fairly effeminate so it is hard for me to get other people to understand a viewpoint like you were able to do in this video (Simply because then they start to think I want to become transgender or something.) I appreciate you making this video

  • Damn everyone in the comment section was not at the last gay agenda meeting. "Q" means queer and questioning. Queer means many things to many people. Personally I like to describe myself as queer and I have a clear anontomical male gender. For me it means different.

  • "Q" is Questioning, meaning those people who are just really unsure... :)

  • The "Q" stands for questioning, not queer.

  • Queer is by definition whatever is at odds with the normal, the legitimate, the dominant. There is nothing in particular to which it necessarily refers. It is an identity without an essence. 'Queer' then, demarcates not a positivity but a positionality vis-à-vis the normative. -David Halperin

  • It stands for questioning lol

  • I think the reason a gay man would hate on a fem, from my experience, 1. He hates that hes fem 2. Speaking as a "pretty" fem, they're just hatin' cuz I always get the hot guys. yeah...I think they're all nothing but jealous beeotchs, always on the rag. It's not my fault.

  • Very good point you make about how more "mainstream" gay people discriminate (to a certain extent) on smaller groups like transexual/bisexual/etc..

  • What is LGBTQIA? Lesbian Gay Genderqueer Bi(sexual) Transgender (Trans) Transsexual (TS) Queer Questioning Intersex Ally Asexual
  • Queer (or genderQueer) neither man nor woman (genderless, agender)

  • @74stef ive never heard of genderless.. is that actually real? example??

  • @jayunit85 there was a question about genderqueer- what I posted is about the closest definition, inside the title ´genderqueer´ can be many variations, its not particulaly about how you or anyone defines somebody, its more about how you would define yourself.

  • I'm open minded to all people. Effeminate, butch, degrees inbetween...just be yourself is what I say.

  • @jthulan i definately agree with that. i believe that a large part of the reason were here on earth is to learn to be ourselves and be okay with that. have you ever heard someone say "everyones a little weird"? haha i kinda see it like that.

  • YEAH THE Q IN THAT MEAN'S QUESTIONING..

  • Generally "queer" refers to people who's gender identity is neither male or female. Gender and sexuality are quite different. LGB all deal with sexualities while T and Q deal with gender identity. There are a lot of queer blogs on here, i suggest you look em up. I appreciate your willingness to ask questions instead of jumping to conclusions.

  • @TransDIYer ya that definately makes sense. if theres a spectrum for sexuality from gay to straight and everything in between then there must be one for gender identity too.

  • Well yah, We have moved along the continuum of acceptance and awareness Long time ago it was "gay" then "gay and lesbian" then they added bi and Transgendered because people felt that the term excluded them. I sorta favor just using "Queer" for everything, it was derogatory but now we own it. Queer covers anyone who feels different, especially in terms of sexuality.

Some say it's for "questioning" but I say it's wide enough alone. And then some are saying LGBTQQ but I think, enuf is enuf..:)

  • I have no problem with feminine gay guys or transexual people.I don't see anything wrong with it.I agree with everything you said.

  • I agree with you 100% there's already enough people trying to disbute and disband us. Why create more segregation? This "community" needs to stick together. I personally don't agree with gender switching but i could never hate a transgender person. Feminine dudes? Could never be one but most of them are some the greatest funniest people you'll ever meet.

As far as queer, i guess they're tryin to retake it like black people did the N word and make it a positive term.
