Gotta say that the only reason I think the GL1 is better is because of the L-Series Fluorite lens on it. Other wise, both cameras are about the same (maybe some price differences)

@thepigpod the only thing about a gl1 or gl2 that sucks is the mic. and its not even too bad, as for picture quality and colors its not much different, i have a gl2 and my homie has a vx 2000 and they are very similar in many ways, dont down on things unless you either have both or are in the position to compare them firsthand

@HABITMEDIA i own a vx2000 and it sucks compared to my vx1000s. a friend of mine has the 2100 and its the same exact camera as the 2000 with a few extra features but the quality and colors are the same. the hpx is hd so thats a different category of camera. im talking about sd the true skate format thats why i used a dvx the replacement if you compare the two they are the closest in sharpness and color and when you use a century lens they are the closest in distortion.

@thepigpod distortion is one of the biggest factors, but it isnt everything, just the way the footage looks all around is the biggest factor. and just saying, i hate dvx's colors and its footage. dvx just looks like fake hd
